Koi No Yokan (Japanese phrase)
- (noun) Lit. Premonition of Love; the sense that one has upon first meeting someone, that they will one day inevitably fall in love with.
Summary: A WinRina (jiminjeong) AU written in Tagalog-English.
Basically a nonchalant x oa kind-of-thing.
The story follows another cliché trope: kung saan napagkamalan ni Karina Yu; member ng isang kilalang k-pop group, si Winter Kim; a person who’s usually just minding her own business—bilang isang fansite.
Except for Winter Kim isn’t a fan.
For Karina, it’s like a premonition of love—to be interested in someone you just met.
For Winter, it’s supposed to be an unusual (and kind of annoying) encounter with a not-so-overconfident star.
But for fate—it’s the start of something beautiful.

Foreword
Prologue
There’s just something about driving with a loud and quality playlist blasting on the speakers that is just so therapeutic.
Was it the scenery?
From the greenest forestry, the tall mountains kissing the clouds, or the empty road that is illuminated by the city lights.
Was it the music?
From the calming instrumental up to the loudest beat that renders you choiceless but to bob along with the rhythm, the lyrics that are technically poems — with a melody that pokes the beating muscle inside your rib cage.
Or was it the person sitting beside you?
The person sitting on the passenger seat, opening the water bottle whenever your throat dries up from singing too much, the person who would think of something to talk about — from the simplest topics like sharing another story from their childhood to the deepest ones that just automatically gets the gears in your head running.
From your basic morals, beliefs, and philosophy, down to your stand on experiences you may or may not yet have.
Winter doesn’t know, really.
All she knows is that she has her left hand on the wheel, a new set of playlists on the speakers (they aim to play almost every genre there is), her foot on the gas, and alas, her right hand resting on top of the gear shift.
Where are they going? No one knows.
They weren’t lost, no. But as her company calls it; “It’s called being spontaneous, Winter.”
And Winter doesn’t mind being a bit spontaneous as long as she has her company.
Nothing else should matter, it’s not like it would — at least not for Winter.
“Good morning ladies and gentlemen, we have safely arrived at our target destination and on behalf of our crew, I would like to welcome you to Vancouver, Canada. The local time is currently four in the morning, it is gonna be a bit chilly today so stay warm…”
Winter slowly opened her eyes at the voice of the pilot in the background, she blinked a few times as she allowed herself to absorb her current surroundings.
“…again, thank you for flying with Air Canada.”
One of the flight attendants pushing a small cart passed by her, smiling at her warmly. Winter turned her head and peaked at the small window, the bright city lights welcoming her eyesight as she stretched out the remaining sleep in her body.
What a strange dream, huh.
