The Planetarium buzzed alive. It was the weekend so it was filled with so many people, most of the families but some are young couples, just like them. Luckily, they can secure two seats just in time for the show. As usual, Mihee couldn’t hold her smile as Chanyeol began to talk animatedly, telling her everything there was to know about space. However, as the time passed, the tightness within her chest started to become unbearable. After this day, she would not be able to be this close to him again, his smile would be for someone else, so was his laugh…and his kiss.

“Mihee…are you okay?”

Warmth seeped through Mihee’s skin as he intertwined their hands, and her pathetic heart still fluttered like crazy with that simple gesture.

Mihee blinked and looked around, barely realized that the room is now almost empty, and the show has ended a while ago. Chanyeol stared at her, his beautiful brown eyes filled with concern.

“I am fine..just…feeling a bit dizzy all of a sudden.”

It was hard for her to fake a smile, but she thought she did well.

“Are you ill? Do you want me to take you home?”

The woman frowned, she was torn between wanting to prolong the date as long as she could and just get it over with so she could suffer on her own.

“Come on, I’ll take you home.”

“No. I’m fine now, let’s just get something to eat, shall we?”

“Are you sure?”

“Ye-“

Mihee gasped as the tall man bowed down, cradled her face between his hands and pressed their foreheads together. The beat of her heart drummed on her ears as his breath caressed her skin, their faces so close to each other. The moment ended too fast, at least for her.

“Hmm, I guess it’s fine since your body temp feels normal. Let’s go!”

Chanyeol smiled and then grabbed her hand, leading her to the rows of food stalls. Mihee followed him while trying in vain to calm her heart down.

They had bibimbap on the Planetarium courtyard, talking casually about what they were up to the past few days, or rather, Mihee talked to him about anything that’s been going on in her life while Chanyeol provided tiny bits of updatehere and there. The woman sighed sadly as Chanyeol went away for a moment to buy desert. She had realized for a while that he didn’t have enough interest in her to have a long talk, yet she still desperately tried to make him talk to her. Feeling her eyes getting warm, she shook her head to prevent tears from coming out.

This is really it then.

It was four in the afternoon when Chanyeol’s car entered the driveway of Mihee’s apartment.

Mihee forced a smile as Chanyeol, ever the gentlemen, hurried to her side to open her door and lent a hand to help her out.

“Thank you for today, Yeol. I have a really great time…and thank you…for giving me such a beautiful last date.”

She prayed that she had the strength not to cry, at least not in front of him, as she said the words.

The man stared at her, a frown on his handsome face.

“Last...date?”

He asked slowly, as if the words sounded strange to him.

Mihee took a deep breath and smiled sadly. She could feel her heart shattered as she spoke.

“I’m letting you go, Yeol. it’s been a wonderful few months for me, but I can see that you’re not happy with me… at least not in the way I want you to be. It’s very nice of you to accept me in the first place…so…thank you.”

She stood on her toes and pulled him towards her, placing a chaste kiss on his lips, then dashed to her building, leaving the stunned man behind in the driveway.
