Him.

Description

A fiction on how a woman named Jin Soo Young (OC) came to realise this mysterious man Jung Yunho was actually a part of her dark past.

Foreword

It was darkness around me, pure darkness.

The dense air lay so heavily on me that I could not even budge in my crouching position. That’s in addition to the fact the lid of the box was weighing down on me relentlessly.

All I could feel was the humid air around me. It cornered me, forcing perspiration out of every single skin pore on me. One small drop of perspiration made its way down the sides of my face slowly, seeping into the wounds I had gotten from struggles days back and into my left eye. I groaned slightly in pain and blinked hard, hoping that the stinging feeling would go away. But this was when I realized I was blindfolded, because I felt my eyelashes moving against a fabric-like material.

The blindfold covered even my nose, pressing so hard against my nose bridge and I could barely breathe. I wondered how I stayed alive.

I realized how dry my throat felt so I tried to swallow my saliva but to my dismay there was another piece of cloth stuffed into my mouth, making even swallowing hard.

Just as I was taking silence around me for granted, something outside my box rustled, reminding me of my sense of hearing. I pricked up my ears and listened hard. That sounded like someone who had crept into the room or rather the space my box was locked up in.

No, it was two, because I heard two harsh whispering voices.

‘I swear GD was a freaking b*stard!’

‘If I had known earlier, I wouldn’t have agreed!’

‘We should leave now, before it’s too late.’

‘But, how? Plus, GD is sure to come after us. There’s no turning back after we swore to brotherhood with him that day.’

‘What kind of brotherhood is this!’

‘You should never have come along with me.’

‘I’m not regretting. Plus, you’re my buddy. If I can’t talk you out of it, I’m in it with you.’

‘But, you shouldn’t have butted in, seriously. I joined because I had no choice, my dad died and I have no one to rely on, but you still have your parents-’

‘Alright stop this talk about regrets, we need to find a way to leave, and get those locked girls out!’

Girls. Yes, I finally remembered after so long.

I was walking in dark alley home when I suddenly felt a strong arm around and the other with chloroform…

Then I woke up to find myself locked up in here. It must have been human trafficking if there are other girls out there caught by them, like me. But it’s been hours since they came back to get back, what are they doing with me, exactly? And why am I here, unlike the other girls?

Wait. Hold on.

GD…?!

Don’t tell me it’s the GD I know…?!

Damn, it must be. GD, who is also known as G-Dragon, is the guy who has been crushing on me since years ago but I have rejected him since then. He’s a gangster… and he locked me up not trafficking but…

I forced myself to stop there.

No, I don’t wish to know what’s next to that train of negative thoughts.

I leaned in closer to the edge of the box and continued listening.

‘Are you crazy! I think it would be hard to get out alive, less to say save the girls.’

‘If not, we will need to get out and report this to the police.’

‘But we will get killed for betraying GD!’

‘Not if we ensure that the police catches him and every of his men.’

‘But…!’

‘No more time to lose! Let’s move it!’

Wait, they are leaving…?

No! I’m not locked up with the other girls, does it mean GD wants something else with me? Then he would…!

… I must ask them for help!

Panicking, I knocked my body hard against the edge of the box and tried to scream into the cloth stuck in my mouth to create noises so that my presence was sensed. Despite it being hard, the box shifted slightly, and yes, they heard it.

‘Hold on, did you hear that?’

‘What?’

‘Something moving in the dark.’

‘Might be rats or mices.’

‘But I heard muffled noises. And a box moving. Sounds like someone is locked here.’

‘But we have no time left! Like what you said earlier, we are coming back for them later.’

‘No, if a girl is locked up here, it means she’s in danger because she’s not a victim of trafficking like the others but probably a target of .’

‘Ukno-’

‘Come on, we gotta save her!’

To my relief, I heard running footsteps towards me. I felt tears stinging in my eyes.

I bit my lips and I waited anxiously for them to reach the box I was stuck in.

But the sound of opening doors made my heart stopped.

And then, my heart plummeted.

, someone is coming.

I wonder if anyone is even going to read this.

Afterall it has been a while since I last wrote a full-length fiction. Been into one-shots recently.

Gosh, I think my writing skills has become rusty :/

Sounds really promising. Good luck!
