Quidditch

KPOP IN HOGWARTS (Dreamcatcher)

Mostly rough concepts though...

This section doesn’t mean all of them will be playing quidditch at the same time in the same fanfic/prompt/head-canon. I mean, some of them might not even be interested in sports, but, this is the idea of them playing quidditch and how it would go if that were fact.

Minji

  • she would be offered the Captain position in no time
  • she would excel as a Keeper
  • another great position for her would be: Beater
  • her game approach: at times methodical, at times blunt, teamwork comes first
  • her confidence would often be found intimidating to the opposite team
  • she would have outstanding strength and resilience, both mentally and physically
  • she would put her team first
  • she would rather give up than endanger her team members. Of course, she would know the limits to each of her teammates and would allow some cuts and bruises to be made on them if that could give them a win.
  • She would rather let herself be hurt than her team members, but she would be smart enough not to let things go to such measures
  • she would have great intuition and self-awareness and utilize it to create a clever and efficient team strategy,
  • she would be more than okay with exploiting their opponent’s weaknesses whenever necessary, even if it meant badly hurting them, of course, the former would only ever happen if Minji was provoked enough
  • she would let the game dictate if they need to adapt as a team or as individuals (she would allow team members to act smartly upon their instincts regardless of the established team strategy). This would permit them to change their approach every so often, which would usually surprise and even outsmart other teams
  • she would have an incredibly keen eye and would rarely let any ball or player go unnoticed
  • she would enjoy fair play, nevertheless, the moment the other team showed any signs of playing dirty or being disrespectful, Minji would be kind no more, allowing her to be ruthless in every sense of the word
  • she would love to help her teammates improve their skills, both quidditch-related and academic-wise

Sua

  • she would be an A+ Beater
  • other roles that would be great for her: Chaser and Seeker
  • she would be too fast for her own good, sometimes going overboard with the speed and missing plays because of it, saying this, her speed would outrun professionals, no doubt about that
  • she would be a broom-flying prodigy
  • by her 4th or 5th year she would have reached professional level flying control
  • her hits would be mad strong and almost impossible to redirect correctly
  • she would be fearless but smart enough not to be reckless about it
  • she would know just how much she could do and how far she could take things, yet, at times, especially when playing against Gryffindor, she would break her own rules and take things too far to the point of getting others and/or herself injured.
  • anyone directly opposing her would have some level of fear or/and admiration for her, even if they wouldn’t admit to it
  • long matches would make her lose her temper little by little until she would be too stressed out to play to her full potential
  • she would be more inclined to injury than other teammates, yet, she would also be the one to recover from illness and injuries the fastest

Siyeon

  • she would be an amazing Chaser
  • other great positions for her: Keeper, Beater
  • while well-rested and/or entertained, she wouldn’t lose track of the balls and players around her
  • she would be more enticed by people and movement, so she wouldn’t be a great Seeker given she would often be distracted by other things happening around her
  • she would be prone to spacing out when tired or bored, so games against lazy players are not the greatest for her
  • she would be blessed with an innate affinity for legilimency, so she would be able to easily read opponents ’movements before they made them
  • she would also train reading the opponent’s movements based on actual observation, insight, and intuition (not only because of her legilimency)
  • when enticed, she would be a beast in the field, fearless and unpredictable.
  • she would have amazing reflexes and take everything happening around her to her advantage when trying to score
  • when playing as Keeper she would be rather flamboyant about her defensive tactics, working the crowd but also attacking the opposing team’s mental stability
  • she would take a little time analyzing her opponents; adjusting to them, but once accustomed she would definitely either match or overtake anyone standing her way
  • she would be hella fast when she wanted to be
  • weak opponents would make her lose interest really fast, but if her teammates were to be entertaining enough she would easily keep herself focused
  • she would take longer to recover after being injured or reaching exhaustion in comparison to other teammates
  • she would be an emotional player, words could affect her, yet her response would vary depending on how her day had been
  • she would love teamwork but wouldn’t work with people she considered disrespectful/hateful towards her, her teammates or her loved ones
  • she would be a vengeful player
  • she would be found eating before and after a match, all to ensure her resilience and/or energy recovery (playing without having eaten beforehand could affect her endurability quite a lot)

Handong

  • she would play a terrific Beater
  • she would also be a great Keeper
  • she would hate losing, but instead of moping around, she would be inspired to get better at playing
  • she would be strong, good-aimed, and not easy to block if you’re not fast enough
  • she wouldn’t feel guilty if players on her team or opposite teams got hurt as long as everyone had played fair
  • she wouldn’t be afraid to call other players out
  • she would not be a great tactician or as fast as other players but she would be really strong both mentally and physically, it would be difficult for others to break her stand/position and distract her from her main goal
  • long games would suit her better than fast-paced ones
  • she would never push herself past her limits during a game, but, she would try to push herself during practice to improve her abilities
  • she would rather do as told before a game (game strat/plan) rather than improvise during a game, which would make unpredictable and adaptable opponents a big problem for her
  • she would rather learn from experience/trial-and-error rather than analyzing someone else’s game in order to create a strategy
  • she would be persistent, never giving up, resilient, which would often make her opponents annoyed enough to make mistakes
  • she would play quidditch for self-improvement rather than in the name of her house
  • she would help teammates she considered weaker than her
  • she would get a little cocky whenever her house won a match, but not too much since she would know there would always be room for improvement
  • she would be a consistent player that little by little got better and refined her own skills, making her a formidable player

Yoohyeon

  • she would be an outstanding Beater
  • I can’t see her as nothing else lol
  • she would be the type to hit other players because she got too carried away.
  • she would love to beat the hell out of bludgers so much she would sometimes accidentally throw away her bat
  • she would sometimes go fast enough and wild enough to lose the sense of where she was and what she was doing and where is up and down, disorienting her so much she would start spinning, eventually making her fall from her broom
  • she would be quick to recover from dizziness
  • once too tired though, she would often become very clumsy (more than usual) and start getting frustrated with herself
  • she would often blame herself after losing a match
  • she would be lazy sometimes, missing practices on purpose, but, most times, the reason to miss them would be because she over-slept
  • she wouldn’t be a great strategist, but she would be excellent at following commands, although, sometimes her own personality would get her in trouble
  • she would be easygoing during games, being playful and having fun, but she would also be the type to bottle up feelings. That could eventually get the best of her if the match was really long and mentally tiring, ending up with her, lashing out after the game ended or during the final part of it.
  • she would be at her best when having fun and letting her have a little freedom during games
  • after losing a game she would be the type to be emotionally frustrated sometimes making her quit quidditch for some time; nevertheless, after all guilt has left her body, she would go back on the field as excited and determined as ever
  • she would be the one making cringy statements against the opposing team,
  • sometimes she would lack a lot of self-awareness, especially while flying. Sometimes this would cause her to bump into her teammates or just bump into walls and other objects
  • she would have a lot of pain resistance when playing, meaning she would take a beating without complaining or slowing down, of course, she would be whining, nagging, and complaining all day, all the time after the game ended
  • she would be the type to play out of fun rather than the sport itself or her house, although if she were to be a Gryff she would play for her house alright

Yubin

  • she would be an amazing Captain, though she would refuse the position at first, then, after her team’s insistence, she would become one
  • she would play Keeper, being outstanding at it
  • she would be an amazing Chaser and Seeker as well
  • her role as Keeper would let her observe and create new strategies to counter-attack her opponents
  • she would have a sharp eye that could easily find the opponents’ weaknesses and game patterns
  • she would have a love-hate relationship with adaptable and unpredictable opponets
  • she would be the one to always know how to use all of her resources/team the best, making her a powerful threat on the field
  • she would almost never lose her calm during a game, she would rather lose it afterward
  • she would always hesitate to engage in physical confrontation even though she would be one of the fastest and most skilled broom-flying players Hogwarts had ever met
  • her own mind and hesitation would be her downfal
  • her control over her broom would reach a professional level during her first year of Flying class
  • she would enjoy flying so much she would sometimes leave her rings and go up really high just to enjoy the view, of course, if trouble was going her way she would go back to protecting her territory in the blink of an eye, that’s how good she would be
  • as a Chaser she would be swift and try to earn as many points at the beginning of a game as she was able, all in order to keep things less demanding later on
  • if playing as a Seeker, she would certainly take the lead when it came to speed and reflexes, but, thanks to her extreme levels of focus, she would soon find herself having tunnel vision and others would easily take advantage of that, so she would prefer not to be put on that spot
  • she would be really silent over a game, only speaking to command and give tips to her teammates, she would be known to only talk back to opponents whenever she felt they challenged her, in other words, she would only answer back to “worthy” adversaries
  • before a game she would become a nerve-wreck, making plan after plan, running strategies in her head, not sleeping well, barely remembering to eat in order not to faint during the game
  • after losing a game she would isolate herself and become a nerve-wreck all over again, going over her mistakes and all the stuff she would have to change if certain situations would repeat themselves
  • once battling someone she would become stronger and better the next time around, which is why she would eventually get the nickname “Evolving Eagle” (would she be a Slyth she would be called “Evolving Serpent.”)
  • she would often see her team as a tool rather than actual people so she would not engage with them outside of practice and game hours, otherwise, Quidditch would become too much of an emotional and social burden for her to bear
  • what she wouldn’t know is that if she were to be placed in a team that managed to get past her inner walls and imbued her with trust and strong encouragement then she would finally be able to break from her shyness and hesitation and then there would only be a few people in the world who could ever stop her
  • pain would be one of her weaknesses, small amounts she’s fine with (small bruises and cuts), but more than that (sprains, big bruises, large/deep cuts, broken bones) she hates, making her mind become really vulnerable really fast, a good way to throw her mental balance would be to try to scare her by showing your intent to physically hurt her
  • she would be quick to think, quick to react, and quick to fly, so anyone slower than her would be screwed
  • she would be the one to avoid her fans anywhere and everywhere

Gahyeon

  • she would would be a great Beater
  • another great position for her would be: Keeper
  • she would be the type to be aggressive in the playing field, without fear of falling down
  • she would be the one blocking and pushing opponents with her entire body
  • she would be a vengeful, persistent, player
  • if you would play against her and are good friends with her then all her inhibitions would kick in, she wouldn’t like hurting friends, making friendship one of her weaknesses.
  • she would try to befriend all her team-members
  • she would be the type of player that plays because of the team itself, not the sport, not out of fun, not for her house, but for the feeling of unity a team gives them (being a Gryff she would also play for her house)
  • she would have no remorse hurting opponents, as long as it had been done fairly
  • she hates game cheating and game cheaters, she wouldn’t mind hurting those during a game
  • after losing a game, her attitude wouldn’t decline but rather become more focused on improving, of course if other team-members were deeply affected, she would become supportive and tactful with them until they recovered
  • her flying talent is rare: staying still. When she wants to stay as still as a rock she stays still as a rock, it is really difficult to move her broom, this would often result in adversaries trying to push her off her broom or physically hurting her in order for her to get out of their way.
  • she would be a stubborn player, but, depending on how much respect she would have for her team captain, she would still listen to reason and strategy
  • she would be the type of player that doesn’t mind not being the best, just being good and enjoying the game with her teammates would be enough
  • she would not get tired easily, long games wouldn’t be a problem for her
  • she would be a player who easily curses when angry or excited
  • she would refuse to play/practice when feeling really sad or upset, this would be beneficial for the team because she would become a terrible player when really sad or upset, causing her to feel dizzy and light-headed while flying
