Friday night. 
5 days since they reunited. 

Tiffany and Sunny are hanging out at Tiffany’s apartment. She invited her best friend for a drink because something is really bothering her. 

She’s feeling something that confuses her. 
She’s feeling something that she feels illegal. 

“Spill it, Tiff. What is it that you want to ask?”, Sunny has had enough of her acting strange. 

“What do you know about Taeyeon? Like what he’s up to. Is he dating someone?”, 

Sunny raised an eyebrow. It’s starting, she thought and smile before emptying her can of beer. “Taengoo is not dating anyone or did he ever dated one”,

“What? I mean why? Taeyeon doesn't look bad. He's… He is handsome. His white porcelain skin matched his now blonde hair. His eyes…those brown orbs. The way he smile, those chin dimple”, Tiffany says. 

“You mean he is everyone's dream man? Or your dream man, Tiff. Come on, be honest with me. Are you having some sort of romantic feelings for him?”,

Tiffany look away and grab another can of beer on the table. She can feel the intense look her friend is giving her. “I don't know. When I saw him again it feels like my old self has been awaken. Feelings ignited but I can't understand what it is. And… I can’t”,

“You can't because you have Nickhun? Is that it?”, Sunny asks the obvious and a silent nod confirms it. “Tiff, when are you going to wake up? Nickhun is not the one for you”,

“But he is the only one who stood by me when mom died. Nick helped me when I needed him. It was him”,

Sunny sigh. It's all the same. “But that's not enough to choose him, to continue having him. Tiff, how many times the two of you broke up? At this point I don't even know if you two are together again or not. It's been 10 years of this roller coaster relationship. Are you not tired? You're beautiful, inside and out. Don't settle for less it you can have the best”,

“You don't understand, Sunny. It's not that easy”,

“Cut that crap. You don't even love him! Until when are you going to lie to yourself, huh? Tiffany, he is not the only man in this world. Open your eyes because there is someone who's been waiting for you”,

Tiffany suddenly got teary eyes. “I am afraid of trusting people. Nick already proven that he will always be there for me when I need one. Maybe I don't love him with the way I am supposed to but he is only one that I can trust at this point”,

“Again, open your eyes! He is manipulating you from the start. He is not who you think he was. Nickhun is just using you. Continuing whatever you two have will hurt you in the end and will hurt that person who's been protecting you, watching you from afar”,

“What are you talking about? Sunny tell me what do you know? You've been telling me about that certain person for a long time. Who is he?”, Tiffany slightly raise her voice partially because of the beer mixed with her emotions. 

“Like what I say. Open your eyes and you will see that he is just right in front of you and he is the one who really got your back”, Sunny gave her another significant clue that she's been struggling to decode. “It's getting late, I have to go. See you on Monday, Tiff”,

“What? But why? 

Tiffany groan. Pulling her hair thinking that I will produce her some answers. The more she press herself to know about it is the more she's getting stressed out. 

Monday comes. 
Last 5 days of Taeyeon working for her. 

Everything is going smoothly. Her employees are learning a lot from him in terms of designing and cost effective tools to use. 

As a boss, Tiffany is very satisfied with what she is seeing. Their clients too are satisfied with the progress of their projects. 

But as Tiffany herself, she is far from being satisfied mainly because up until that day Taeyeon haven't spoken to her if it was about the retrieval of those files. 

She is jealous. Watching him laughing with her employees makes her jealous. Tiffany misses him. She wants to hear him laugh at again. She wants to talk to him and catch up with their lost time. 

Because of this jealousy, her temper is so short. Her poor employees is the receiving end of it even though they didn't do anything. 

Bossy Hwang has been activated since Taeyeon works for her. 

“Taeyeon, I'm begging you. We're going crazy if she doesn’t stop with this crazy deadline. Talk to her. Please”, Sunny drags him to the pantry. 

They are all stressed out and almost burnt out with work and Tiffany. She's been demanding them to finish certain parts of the assigned to them that is a week worth of output but she's making them finish it within a day. 

“You know I can't… I can't be with her or else…”,

“Or else what? Taengoo, whatever issue you have with her, end it now. You're the only one who can calm her. She needs you right now”,

Taeyeon is really skeptical. He is still traumatized with what is always happening to him whenever he is near Tiffany or somebody else who's in a relationship. 

The physical pain is bearable but not the emotional pain.

Sunny taps him on the shoulder. “Stop hiding. Stop avoiding her. I know how much you miss her. What are you afraid of? Take the risk, maybe it is worth it”,

Take the risk.
Risk of getting hurt.
Risk of getting her hurt.
Is it really worth it?

Confused. Scared. Taeyeon seems to be lost as he is staring blankly on the door of the pantry. Without looking he started walking while holding his coffee. 

“Oh my God!!!”, Tiffany screams. 

The high pitch scream wakes him up. “Oh. !”, he panics and didn’t know what to do. So, instead of getting tissues he took his polo and used it to wipe Tiffany's soaked white polo. “I’m so sorry… I’m so sorry!”,

He is wiping the coffee out of her polo that he didn't notice that he is touching Tiffany's front already. When she realizes what is happening, her face turns red not because of anger but because of something else. 

She then push him away and pretends to be pissed. “The heck is wrong with you! How clumsy are you, really?!”, Tiffany said as she walks towards the sink to get some tissues. “My God, Tae. What were you doing walking like that while holding a cup of coffee? I have a meeting with the client! I don't have a spare clothes with me. Aish!”,

“I didn't mean to spill the coffee on you. Sorry. Wait for me!”, and he dash out of pantry

Tiffany wants to asks him where he is going but she forgot how fast her friend runs. “You short leg”, she said while shaking her head. 

Returning back to her office, Tiffany is having a flashback on what has just happened. It was the first time that he touches her not the touch of intimacy though. 

Her heart is beating erratically fast that she can’t explain why and her face, it’s burning hot from unknown. “What’s wrong with me?”,

“Yes, what is wrong with you”, Sunny came out of nowhere making her friend jumps on her chair. 

“! I told you to knock before entering. My heart almost drop”, she glares. “If you’re here to ask me about postponing the deadline, No. Your project is already behind”, 

Tiffany is not rushing them for no reason. The team that Sunny is supervising is really behind on schedule already and she already asked the client to extend the deadline before to give the team some breather and rest. 

But she will not tell them about it. For them, she is their bossy boss and she is fine with it knowing on how effective that is in making them produce designs. She is afraid that once they knew her soft stop they will abuse her. 

One thing she learned from handling a business, never show your weakness. Friends can be your silent enemy.

“I’m not here because of that”, Sunny chimes. “Here”,

Tiffany raises an eyebrow when she saw the paper bag of her favorite clothing brand. “My birthday is in 2 weeks. Have you forgotten about that?”,

“No. This not from”, she wiggle her eyebrow while grinning. “Taeyeon asks me to give this to you. I don’t know how he knew your bra size”,

“M-my what?”, Tiffany’s eyes widen. She couldn’t believe what is inside that bag. She’s blushing.

Sunny is trying her best not to burst to laughing too hard seeing the blush of embarrassment on her best friend’s face. It was the same exact reaction from Taeyeon when he told her to give that to Tiffany.

“It’s either you told him or he already measure it by touching you”, 

“ you, Sunkyu. Get out, I need to change now”, 

“Your face tells me it’s the last one”, Sunny teases her more before running outside. 

Face burning. Heart raising so fast. She’s going crazy. She has never felt that before even when the time Nickhun surprised her during their anniversaries. 

The fact that Taeyeon is not even making a move on her already makes her heart skip happily is making her crazy. It’s confusing her. 

“I need to know what this is all about. Why are you confusing me, Tae”, Tiffany talks to herself as she is staring at the mirror. 

A glimpse of sweet smile creeps through her when she notices the pastel pink dress that Taeyeon bought for her. It's a below the knee dress with a ribbon accent, simple but elegant just the way she likes, her style. 

“But I don't wear pink anymore”, Tiffany sadly said to herself as she is the fabric of the dress. “You still remember my favorites”,

Tiffany couldn't help but to feel sad thinking how their friendship turns out. 

Meanwhile, Taeyeon decided to go to his favorite spot. The place where he can worry nothing and only enjoy the fresh air, quietness and the calm flow of the Han River. 

He remember those time when Tiffany and him will skip classes just hang out together and talk, catching up especially when they haven’t seen each other for days. 

“Fany-ah, I wish we could be like how we were before. Those days that I don’t have to worry about anything, those days that I didn’t have to share you with someone else, those days that I can hold without being afraid of getting myself hurt or you getting hurt”, Taeyeon sigh. He feels emotional looking back. “I miss you so much. If only I was not a coward maybe… maybe we could be together by now. Why is loving hurts so much?”, 

“Love itself doesn’t hurt but the other factors does. Like the people around you or the fear surrounding your love for that person. Sometimes it was us who makes love complicated that turns out to hurt us”,

Taeyeon got startled when an old man speaks. He didn’t know when or how he got there beside him but nonetheless, what he just said makes sense. “I guess you’re right, grandpa. People’s choice and decisions is what makes love hurts sometimes. But love itself makes us a fool no matter how smart we are”,

“That’s right. So, always take a chance. You’ll never know if you won’t test the water. Risk is not always meant for bad things, sometimes risks greats wonderful experience that could last a lifetime”,

“Grandpa, do you think I made a mistake when I left my best friend to keep her safe?”,

The old man chuckles and finally sits besides him. “Let me guess, this best friend had a boyfriend and that boyfriend doesn’t like the best friend because of how close the best friends were. Then the boyfriend threatened the best friend to stay away because this best friend is in love with the girlfriend, am I right?”

“Eh?”, Taeyeon’s mouth fell open. It gives him goosebumps. “H-how… Do I know you, grandpa? Or are you related to one of us?”,

“I’m not, son… It’s the old same story, as always. I’ve been there before already. I know the feeling and until now I can’t forget and forgive myself for not taking that risk”, the old man sigh and took a deep breath. “I lost my only love because I didn’t take that risk. She was my best friend, my every thing. I stepped back and leave and never return when I saw her happy with someone that is not me”,

“Sometimes seeing the one the we love has someone who’s making them happy will make us do the most stupid things, and that’s letting go. We let go before we pursue”,

“We assume that they are happy with someone else but what we don’t know is they are good in pretending, in trying to look happy”, the old man puts his hand on Taeyeon’s shoulder. “Son, I’ve been there already. I already did what you are doing right now. I am telling you it’s not worth it. It will continue making you ask yourself ‘what if’ and worst you will see her faking her own happiness just for the sake of having someone”,

Taeyeon look away. The old man’s story is similar with him. He can tell the sadness in his voice and his eyes is filled with regrets it’s like he is mirroring himself, he can already see his future self.

“Don’t be like me, son. I let her go. And look at me right now, old and alone. Never been able to build my own family because I continued living in regret. I never moved on because those words that I wanted to tell her, I wasn’t able to say”,

The old man sadly laugh. “And you know what’s worst is that she was never been happy and just forcing herself to stay with the guy even though all that she wanted is me. She’s in love with me and we’re waiting for me to come back but I didn’t. I just watched her from a far thinking that I made the right choice but no. So, here I am now, still waiting for my time to see her again”,

“Why don’t you go visit her? I can accompany you to her, I don’t mind driving you there”, Taeyeon offers.

“It’s too late… she’s gone now”,

Heart shattered.
Taeyeon suddenly had the urge to confess, to tell Tiffany everything that he’s been keeping to himself. Those unspoken words.

They chatted for a while  waiting for the old man’s caregiver to pick him up. He told Taeyeon that he is now living in a care center because his health is deteriorating, he developed a heart condition.

Listening to his story, Taeyeon cannot imagine what life will be if he is unable to speaks what’s in his mind, what his heart is shouting but has no voice for almost a decade.

After chatting, Taeyeon rushed back to the company. He doesn’t know what comes to his mind as he just run, running towards where his heart is leading him.

A sudden opening of the door startled the woman inside her office. She’s confuse as . “What are you doing here? I thought you left early? Are you…okay?”,

“Fany-ah, we need to talk”,
