The following morning, Ji Hoo was the first to wake up. At first, he had been puzzled as to why there was someone else in his bed, but he recalled he was in Jan Di's bedroom, in her hostel. She didn't have a problem sharing a bed with him just for a nap, however, this was the first time they shared a bed the entire night. He recalled he had dropped by just for a nap but ended up staying longer than planned. As he stretched his limbs and yawned, Ji Hoo couldn't help but smile at the peaceful sight of Jan Di still fast asleep. Her tousled hair cascaded over his bare chest, and a faint smile played on her lips.

Ji Hoo smiled at her as she tightened her hold around his waist and nested further, pressing her nose in his neck, her leg draped around his hip. The warmth of her body against his was comforting, and he couldn't help but feel a sense of contentment wash over him. It was moments like these that made him realize just how much he cherished their connection. As the morning light filtered through the curtains, Ji Hoo gently brushed a strand of hair away from Jan Di's face, careful not to wake her. He marveled at the way she looked so peaceful and serene in her slumber, completely unaware of the world around her.

Lost in his thoughts, Ji Hoo reflected on their journey together. There had been an undeniable spark between them from the first time they met. Their friendship had blossomed into something more profound and meaningful—something that went beyond words. Jan Di had become his sanctuary, a place where he could find solace and comfort amidst life's chaos. Her presence alone gave him a sense of calmness he had never experienced. And now, as they lay intertwined in each other's embrace, he couldn't ask for more. He then slowly leaned in and kissed her forehead several times, taking her hand and kissing it gently before caressing her back in gentle circles. As he traced his fingers along her spine, he couldn't help but marvel at the depth of their connection. It was as if their souls were entwined, dancing to a rhythm only they could hear.

At that moment, all the worries and troubles of the world faded away, replaced by an overwhelming sense of contentment. Their love was a sanctuary, a haven where they could escape from the chaos of everyday life. It was a reminder that they had found something truly special in this vast universe—a bond that transcended mere words or gestures. Together, they created a symphony of emotions in a language that only they understood. And as they lay there, basking in the warmth of their love, he knew that this was where he belonged—wrapped in her arms, finding solace in her touch. He had discovered a profound meaning to life in her presence—a love that went beyond anything he had ever imagined.

Moments later, Jan Di began to stir to wakefulness after feeling something on her palms—something soft and flawless yet muscular. She opened her eyes, and her eyes landed on the hand that lay on the man's bare chest. She opened her eyes fully to see Ji Hoo lying beside her, his eyes closed. Her heart skipped a beat as she traced the contours of his face with her gaze, mesmerized by his peaceful expression. The warmth radiating from his body enveloped her, creating a cocoon of serenity and contentment. In moments like these, she felt an unbreakable bond between them, a connection that transcended words and logic.

'What is she doing?'

Ji Hoo silently asked himself to wait for Jan Di to do something, and then he felt her fingers tracing the contours of his collarbone and landing on the ring that hung in the chain around his neck. Lost in her thoughts, he decided to watch whatever she was doing to him, enjoying her hands caressing his skin. At first, he was surprised by it, but then he wondered what was going through her mind. Was she curious about the significance of the ring? Did she find comfort in the feel of it against her fingertips?

Ji Hoo couldn't help but be captivated by her actions, as they seemed to hold a deeper meaning. Perhaps she was trying to understand him better, to connect with him on a level beyond words. Her touch was gentle yet purposeful, leaving a trail of warmth in its wake. It was in these moments that Ji Hoo realized how much he cherished their bond and how much he longed to unravel the mysteries of her heart just as she seemed determined to unravel his. As he continued to silently observe her, he couldn't help but hope that this simple gesture was a sign of something more profound—a silent promise that their connection would only grow stronger with time.

Jan Di's hands traced the smoothness of the golden ring around Ji Hoo's neck, recalling that he had originally offered her the ring, but she had rejected it two years ago. Back then, she couldn't imagine accepting anyone's heart because she was hurting, but if there was a second chance, she wondered if she would accept it now. The memories of their past encounters flooded her mind, reminding her of the deep connection they had shared.

Ji Hoo had always been there for her, offering comfort and support when she needed it the most. But time had passed, and things had changed. Jan Di had moved on, finding love and happiness with someone else. Yet, as she stood there, feeling the weight of Ji Hoo's ring in her hands, a part of her couldn't help but wonder what could have been. Was it possible to revisit the past and rewrite their story? The uncertainty lingered in the air as they both stood there, lost in their own thoughts. Perhaps fate had brought them together once again for a reason, testing their hearts and challenging their choices. Only time would tell if they were meant to be more than just friends or if they were destined to remain as memories from a different chapter of their lives.

Jan Di innocently began tracing the contours of his muscles. She could see and feel the masculinity of his chest and began wondering if he works out in a gym; after all, he owns one. The muscles were firm and well-defined, a testament to his dedication and discipline. His abs were well-defined, rippling beneath her touch, inviting her to explore further. As she continued to trace the lines of his physique, she couldn't help but be captivated by the strength and power exuding from his body. It was clear that he took great pride in maintaining his physical fitness, and Jan Di found herself drawn even closer to him, intrigued by the allure of what lay beneath the surface.

"Is this what girls refer to as packs?" she questioned herself, still tracing fingers along the contours of his chiseled abdomen. "I better stop thinking and go to shower," she said disentangling herself from his arms but as attempted to jump over him, Ji Hoo drew her over to him, capturing her in a warm embrace.

"Stay a little longer," he whispered, his voice filled with longing. Her legs draped around his hips, while she sat on his abdomen making it uncomfortable for her at the same time natural for her. Ji Hoo was her friend, and this position wasn't good for them to maintain their platonic relationship. However, the intensity of their connection made it difficult for her to resist his embrace. She knew she had to find a way to gently extricate herself without jeopardizing their friendship.

"You are awake?" She said softly, her voice tinged with both relief and hesitation. Ji Hoo blinked up at her, his eyes filled with a mix of confusion and desire. He nodded slowly, his fingers gently tracing patterns on her back. The weight of the moment hung heavy in the air, as they both tried to navigate the uncharted territory between friendship and something more. She took a deep breath, summoning the courage to speak her truth. "I…I think we need to talk," she murmured, her words barely audible.

Ji Hoo's expression shifted, a flicker of concern crossing his face. He sat up slightly, creating a small distance between them while keeping their connection intact. "What's on your mind?" he asked softly, his voice filled with a vulnerability she had never heard before. She hesitated for a moment, searching for the right words to convey her thoughts without causing harm. "I think I should go to bathe. Our lectures are in an hour, we should get ready soon…" she said attempting to get out of his arms, but Ji Hoo didn't buy that excuse.

He tightened his grip on her, refusing to let her go so easily. "No, don't avoid the question," he pleaded, his eyes pleading for honesty. She took a deep breath, knowing she couldn't hide her feelings any longer.

"I'm scared," she finally admitted, tears welling up in her eyes but that is what she didn't want to talk to him about.

"What are you scared of?"

"I'm afraid that once you graduate, I won't be able to make it." Ji Hoo's expression softened as he listened intently to her words. He gently wiped away the tears from her cheeks, his touch filled with reassurance.

"You don't have to worry about that," he whispered, his voice filled with unwavering determination. "We've been through so much together, and I know we can overcome any obstacles that come our way." His words resonated deeply within her, bringing a glimmer of hope to her fearful heart.

She found solace in his unwavering belief in their love and their ability to conquer the uncertainties of the future. "I promised you that we would be doctors in the same field, so…I won't leave you behind," he continued softly, his eyes filled with sincerity. "We'll study together, support each other, and make our dreams a reality." His words ignited a fire within her, reminding her of their shared aspirations. "Do you trust me?"

"Yes, I do," she replied immediately. She had always t
