"It seems like Jennie just needs to have a dating scandal for you to back off."

The fresh breeze in Hawaii had always been a balm for Yoona's soul. Now, reclining on a beach chair, she savored the sun's warmth against her skin, her eyes heavy with relaxation. Just like her father, Lucifer's Daughter, she cherished vacations and explored the world alone, finding solace in her own company

After the turmoil caused by Jennie Kim's dating scandal with V, Yoona yearned to escape the unsettling emotions that had plagued her that night. She craved distance, a break from the turbulent feelings that had left her feeling helpless and heartbroken – sentiments she disliked immensely.

The day after that tumultuous night, Jessica, her fiancé, had burst in with infectious excitement, announcing a spontaneous vacation to Hawaii. Yoona had agreed without hesitation, drawn by the allure of Hawaii's fresh air and the prospect of escaping the same space as Jennie Kim. It might sound irrational, but she was ready to embrace the quirks of her actions.

She'd agreed under the impression it would be just the two of them. However, upon landing in Hawaii, her surprise was palpable as she spotted not just her fiancé, but also her own mother and Jessica's family. The energy they exuded drained Yoona, leaving her emotionally depleted. Their animated discussions about the upcoming wedding were overwhelming.

Not only that, but there was also Jessica's sister, Krystal, a striking beauty. Yoona couldn't help but praise Krystal's looks, drawing Jessica's judging glance. For someone who rarely doled out compliments, Yoona's unexpected behavior didn't sit well with her fiancé.

Yet, Yoona's defense was that she hadn't known about Jessica's sister. I simply couldn't resist praising beauty when I saw it, despite the raised eyebrows and sideways glances. Jessica remained watchful, wary of any strange interactions between Yoona and her sister.

With eyes shut, Yoona felt sleep's gentle pull. However, the tranquility shattered at the sound of Jessica's bitter voice. Yoona could choose to ignore the undertones, but she realized her role as Yoona Lim, Jessica's fiancé, was unshakable in this realm.

No matter how much she resisted or avoided the reality, there was an undeniable aspect of her earthly identity that held a deep affection for Jessica. It was a truth that Yoona couldn't suppress, no matter how hard she tried – a sentiment she sensed down to her very bones.

"Oh, come on now. You know I'm not that fickle,"

But Jessica wasn't about to let the matter go. She pressed on, her words edged with a sardonic tone. "Well, it's just funny how you suddenly have all this time to spend with me when there's a dating scandal involving Jennie. Makes you wonder, doesn't it?"

Yoona shifted in her chair, her half-closed eyes now fully open, her drowsiness replaced by a sense of bewilderment. "Maybe it's you who is interested in Jennie because she's all your talk about."

Jessica's cold gaze met Yoona's doe-eyes, a flash of annoyance crossing her features. "You were influenced by her that you're starting to run away from our problems." Jessica retorted, her words laced with accusation.

The tension between Yoona and Jessica lingered, the underlying emotions swirling beneath the surface. As the sun painted the sky in hues of orange and pink, their surroundings seemed to mirror the intricate balance between them.

"You know, it's also interesting how you managed to find the time to join Blackpink on their Europe World Tour. I guess you're really good at making time for certain things."

Rolling her eyes, Yoona retorted, "Are you seriously not tired of bringing that up every time?"

Jessica's eyes flashed with a mix of annoyance and hurt. "Well, maybe I wouldn't need to if it didn't seem like you were so eager to drop everything and fly across the world to be with Jennie and the others."

The words hung in the air, laden with accusations and unspoken insecurities. Yoona's eyes narrowed as she felt her own frustration rise. Her role as Lucifer's daughter on a mission in the mortal world had taught her to have no filter on her words, and she wasn't one to back down from a challenge. She opened , ready to fire back with a retort that matched Jessica's icy tone.

But then, a flicker of reason and responsibility crossed her mind. She remembered the bigger picture, the mission that had brought her to Earth and the consequences that could come from escalating this argument. Taking a deep breath, Yoona's features softened as she met Jessica's gaze.

"You're right, Sooyeon." she admitted, her voice calm and measured. "I know that it might have seemed like that and I'm sorry if I've given you that impression. My focus should be on us, on our relationship."

Jessica's guard seemed to lower slightly at Yoona's unexpected response. "I just don't want us to keep circling around the same issues." she admitted, her voice quieter now, carrying a hint of vulnerability.

Yoona reached out, her fingers gently tracing circles on the back of Jessica's hand. "I understand, and I promise to work on it. I'm not going to let petty things come between us."

For a moment, silence enveloped them as they simply sat together, the weight of their unspoken emotions gradually dissipating. Then, with a slight smile, Yoona leaned in and kissed Jessica's forehead, her gesture filled with reassurance and affection.

"Let's focus on building our future." Yoona said softly, her voice holding a promise that she was determined to keep. But everything that I'd said are all lies.

Jessica's eyes softened as she leaned into the touch, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips. "You're right. We have something special and I don't want anything to jeopardize that."

As the sun's warm glow enveloped them, Yoona's gaze softened as she took in Jessica's features. She couldn't deny that Jessica looked breathtaking in her bikini, her sun-kissed skin and confident posture creating a captivating sight. She cleared , a hint of a smile playing on her lips.

"You know, Sooyeon, that bikini suits you really well." Yoona commented, her voice holding a genuine admiration. She had always been drawn to Jessica's beauty, but seeing her like this in such a natural state was something oddly special.

Jessica's lips curled into a pleased smile as she glanced at Yoona. "Oh, so now you're finally noticing?" she teased, her tone light as she moved to lay down between Yoona's legs, leaning against her comfortably.

Yoona's initial instinct was to retreat slightly, her personal space being invaded by Jessica's proximity. She wasn't exactly fond of public displays of affection, but she knew that Jessica had always been more comfortable with physical intimacy. As her default fiancée for this mission, Yoona knew she had to compromise a bit.

Suppressing her discomfort, Yoona allowed Jessica to settle in the position she preferred. She hesitated for a moment before draping an arm around Jessica's waist, her fingers gently brushing against the skin of Jessica's side. Jessica seemed oblivious to Yoona's internal struggle, her focus on the view before them.

A playful glint danced in Jessica's eyes as she glanced over her shoulder at Yoona. "I've seen you staring at other women in their bikinis at the beach."

"Well, I can't deny that I appreciate beauty when I see it."

Jessica burst into laughter, her melodious giggles filling the air. "You really are shameless, aren't you?"

Yoona shrugged, a sheepish grin on her face. "I prefer to think of it as having an appreciative eye for aesthetics."

Jessica shook her head in mock exasperation, her laughter slowly subsiding. She turned to face Yoona fully, her expression softening. "You know, despite everything, I'm glad we have moments like these. It's like a reminder of what we used to be."

Meeting Jessica's gaze, Yoona's eyes reflected a mix of emotions. "Yeah, it's... nice." she admitted, her voice barely more than a whisper.

Fiancée Status: Secure and Stable

---

SEOUL SOUTH KOREA...

"Where are you headed so early in the morning?"

Jessica's voice cut through the silence, making Yoona pause in her tracks. She turned around to find Jessica in her bathrobe, fresh from the shower.

"Out?"

Jessica squinted at her, hands on her hips, waiting for more details. "Out? Care to elaborate?"

"Seul called me over," Yoona explained, her words offering a hint of the reason. "She's dealing with an emotional crisis about Irene."

Jessica's expression softened as she absorbed the news. Seulgi Kang, one of Yoona's cousins, was a member of a K-Pop girl group. Seulgi and Irene, another group member, were in a secret relationship. In South Korea, a conservative society, such relationships were forbidden.

What a load of nonsense. It's 2023, and narrow-mindedness still prevails. Although I haven't seen Seulgi much since my arrival on Earth, I know she's a frequent companion of my current identity. An excuse to return to Hell, perhaps. My mission might already be over.

Jessica hummed thoughtfully, her gaze never wavering from Yoona's eyes. "Irene hasn't contacted me either. Wonder why."

Yoona shrugged lightly. "Maybe she's still asleep. She'll probably call you later."

"Right," Jessica acknowledged, a hint of concern in her eyes.

"I should head out now. See you later," Yoona said, adding a playful wink that earned her an eye roll from Jessica. "What?"

"You're forgetting something,"

Yoona tilted her head, puzzled until Jessica pointed at her own lips. Understanding the sign, Yoona closed the gap between them, pulling Jessica into a tender kiss.

Jessica broke the kiss with a playful accusation. "You're not sneaking off to see that idol, are you?"

"Sooyeon, not this again—"

"I'm just teasing, honey. My bad for bringing it up; we promised not to discuss her."

A soft sigh escaped Jessica's lips as she regarded the woman before her. They had committed to repairing their relationship, and moments like this reassured her of their progress. "I love you," Jessica confessed, her voice sincere.

"I love you too, Sooyeon."

"Be safe on the road, okay?" Jessica's concern was evident in her voice.

Yoona saluted playfully, eliciting a laugh from Jessica. "Yes, ma'am!" With that, Yoona left, her strides carrying a blend of determination and a newfound sense of connection.

Jessica watched her depart, a mixture of admiration and affection in her gaze, before resuming her day with a renewed sense of warmth in her heart.

Amidst the tranquil beauty of a random beach in Seoul, the waves lazily caressed the shoreline, their rhythmic dance a stark contrast to the turmoil in Yoona's mind. Dressed in an inconspicuous attire, she stood with her feet in the sand, her gaze fixed on the horizon as she muttered incantations under her breath. Her words held a mix of frustration and impatience, a desperate plea for a portal to open and take her back to her realm, to the infernal depths she called home.

"Gateways of the abyss, hear my plea. Let me return to my domain, my reality," Yoona's voice carried a hint of command, her words laced with a determination to complete her business and return to her duties.

But to her dismay, the portal she sought remained elusive, stubbornly refusing to respond to her efforts. Her brow furrowed, and her voice grew sharper as frustration colored her words. "Come forth, damn it. Why won't it work?"

"What's the matter, Yoona? Having trouble leaving?" a familiar voice drawled from behind her.

Startled, Yoona whirled around to find her father, Lucifer, leaning against a rock, a sardonic grin playing on his lips. She blinked, taken aback by his sudden appearance.

"What are you doing here?" she snapped, her annoyance evident in her tone.

Lucifer raised an eyebrow, his gaze locked on her with amusement dancing in his eyes. "Oh, just thought I'd drop by and see how my dear daughter is faring in the mortal realm."

Yoona huffed, crossing her arms defensively. "Well, I'm not exactly h
