Wish Upon a Star

Jessica POV

“Are you done?” Asked Taeyeon after she saw me going down the stairs.

“Yeah.” I nodded my head while showing her the clothes I was about to bring to her place.

“Is that all?” she asked me and I nodded my head.

“Let’s go.” I said then heading to our car that parked just outside our house.

I looked up to the sky just before I opened the door, enjoying the night view. Suddenly I remember what Tiffany said the other day. She said that it was hard to see stars in our place because we live in the city so she rarely seen the star even if she wanted to. Just to see what she said was right or wrong, I decided to see it myself.

The sky was dark and the moon was shining so brightly. The cloud was visible here and there but there wasn’t many of it, but still it was beautiful. The weather also complimented it perfectly. It wasn’t cold but it wasn’t hot either, but I could still feel the soft wind brushing against my face, it calmed my mind. Everything fitted perfectly. I kept staring at the sky, trying to see any star above my head and my eyes finally stopped at one specific star after searching around the night sky. I tried to look for other stars once again but there was none. There was only one single star in the sky.

“There’s star there.” I decided to tell her.

Taeyeon looked up to the sky, trying to see the star but she didn’t see it.

“Where?” she asked me.

“There.” I said while pointing my finger at that specific star.

I just realized that the star was shining brightly and because it was only one on the sky, it was clearly visible
