They say the best love story is when you “fall in love with the most unexpected person at the most unexpected time”. But does that work when you fall in love with a K-pop idol? Especially if they’re from the most successful and famous boy-band in the world. BTS is the name. Bangtan Sonyeondan. A 7-member group with supreme good-looks as well as each member being a talented god. But…. What are the chances of one member falling in love with you?

Well, let me tell you… the chances are slim. Like 1%? Probably less. But the Universe decided it was a good time to interrupt, what was my peaceful but slightly chaotic life. I didn’t really know many people after moving to South Korea to do my PhD. Yet, one of my best friends decides to leave out what was essentially really important information about her family tree. Turns out… her brother was J-hope… from BTS. Yes. Jung Hoseok. Crazy right? I know. Feeling betrayed? A bit. Well, I’m still in disbelief.

What was more chaotic was that, after knowing this piece of information. Literally 2 days later, I had found myself standing in front of BTS with my luggage at the set of ‘BTS in the SOOP Season 1’. Infront of me was, 7 members smiling at my friends and I. 2 weeks… 2 weeks with the boys. As Unnie says, just to have fun, let loose and forget about all the stress as a postgrad student. But for me, it was more of a mission, not to fall, deeply and completely in love, more than I already am, with Jeon Jungkook.
