Sana hadn’t realized she had fallen asleep on the drive back home, she woke up when the cab driver called out to her. “Excuse me, Ma’am” he cleared his throat, “We’ve arrived”

“Oh” seeing the familiar gates of her family’s home she sat up and ran her hand through her dress. She doesn't really recall giving him the exact address to her parent’s house instead of her apartment. But, she was too tired to think too much about it. She opened the car door, “Thank you” she told the driver with a small nod before getting out and shutting the door. She watched the car drive off before turning towards the gates.

She pressed the intercom and Kun, one of their guards who was stationed at the gates, let her in. “Ah, welcome back, Miss Minatozaki” he said with a bow as she entered through the gate. She gave him a pointed smile and walked up towards the house.

She dragged her feet up the steps and rang the doorbell. One of the maids opened the door and greeted her. She gave her a small smile before informing the maid that she’d be up in her room.

She sighed as she plopped down on her bed, staring at the ceiling, her mind wandered towards the events of last night and to a certain brunette. Feeling her eyelids heavy, she closed her eyes and eventually fell asleep.

By the time she woke up again, it was almost noon. She stretched her arms before she sat up on her bed with a slump and remembered she still had her dress on. She trudged towards her dresser and changed into some sweats. She keeps extra clothes in her parent’s home since she often spends more time here than in her own apartment. She doesn’t like how lonely it is..

She went downstairs to grab some food, knowing well that the maids had already prepared lunch.

“Your food is ready, Miss Sana” one of the maids said the minute she saw Sana sauntering into the kitchen. “Would you like to have your lunch here or shall we take it to your room?”

Sana shook her head and took a seat at the table. “No, it’s fine. I’ll just eat here”

“Oh by the way, Miss” another maid said as Sana sat down at the table, waiting for her food. “Ms. Park came by and dropped off some of your things. She said you left your purse in her car”

Sana immediately froze and furrowed her brows. It’s not Jihyo.. She couldn’t believe Sooyoung had the nerve to even come by here and drop her things off. Without replying, the maid quickly grabbed the small purse and set it on the table before her. Sana told her a small thank you before the maid walked off.

Sana opened her purse and took out her phone, as the previous maid placed her food on the table. She tried turning the phone on but the battery had died. Staring at the phone in her palm, she thought back to how she was stuck in that restaurant, where she met Tzuyu. A mere stranger who helped and took care of her. I’m more ways than one.

Her cheeks became slightly heated at the memory. She just had to see her- she had to see Tzuyu again and thank her for last night.

“On second thought, please bring my lunch up to my room!” Sana instructed the maid nearby as she scurried off upstairs.

Upon reaching her room, she quickly connected her phone to the outlet beside her bed, and the first thing she did was search up Tzuyu’s name on Facebook. Believe it or not, there were only a few people with that name on the site and none of them were her Tzuyu. None of their profile pictures looked like her Tzuyu. With a pout, she tried google and other forms of social media to find more about the brunette but to no avail, she couldn’t find the right one. She decided to check the last thing she could think of, the phone book. It was then that she realized she didn’t know Tzuyu’s last name.

She had been searching through her socials with only a first name. What a rookie mistake, Tzuyu wasn’t making her think clearly. Sana groaned in frustration and sprawled back down on her bed. She heard a knock a few seconds later, it was one of the maids bringing her food in her room.

She got up and sat on her dresser, staring at the food, lost in thought. She just had to thank Tzuyu somehow.

-

While buttoning her polo, Tzuyu stared at the money in the milk can on the shelf. This can was their savings can, and she had used some of the money she had been saving to buy a new heater to pay for Sana’s cab fare. Sana.. It had only been one day since she last her, and she’d be lying if she said she wasn’t curious about her. But, she shrugged it off. There’s no way she’d see Sana again.

She sighed as she put the cap back on the can. The cab fare from Guryong to Cheongdam was more expensive than Tzuyu had hoped for. She really does hate herself sometimes for being so kind to strangers. Even if this particular stranger was an incredibly beautiful and y, wealthy woman..

She closed her eyes and shook her head. It only cost about ₩ 11,000, she could make that back today in tips at the Soul cup and Parkful. Though, Tzuyu was sure she still needed to find a third job again. Winter was coming and they’d desperately need that heater. She also had tons of bills yet to pay. She rubbed her eyes and took a deep breath in then exhaled. She grabbed her bag from her bed and walked out of her room. As usual, she left her mother eating breakfast on the table before she rode her bike to work.

-

It was nearing noon and Tzuyu was busy wiping down tables at her job at the cafe when she felt a vibration in the pocket of her apron. She quickly pulled it out knowing it was a call and saw that Nayeon was calling her. With an uneasy feeling, she answered, “What is it?”

“Well hello to you too”

Tzuyu sighed, “What happened? Is something wrong? Is my mom okay?”

“Calm down kid” Nayeon said as she peeped through her window blinds. “Everything‘s fine but there's a woman standing outside your door”

“A woman? What woman?”

“Dunno, never seen her before. She’s got some nice clothes on and her ride seems nice. A black tinted BMW” Nayeon kept staring at the woman from the blinds who was not sitting on their porch.

Tzuyu was trying to process who that could be when Nayeon spoke up, “Maybe Ren owes someone money again like last time”

“Hmm.. as long as she’s not banging on the door or forcing her way in. Mom knows not to open the door to strangers” Tzuyu kept wiping the table while talking to Nayeon.

“What if Ren sold the house again?”

Tzuyu stopped wiping. “He wouldn’t. He’s not dumb enough to do it again”

“I don’t know” Nayeon closed the blinds and sat on her couch, “that’s what you said the last time”

Tzuyu gripped the phone tightly, “.. I’ll be right there” she ended the call not even bothering to hear Nayeon’s reply, and slipped her phone in the pocket of her jeans. “Ten! I’m taking my lunch break!” she said as she passed by her co-worker that was putting whipped cream in a pouch.

She went to the back and through the rag on the counter and slipped off her apron and visor and stuffed them in her employee locker. She threw her jacket and beanie on and grabbed her bag. She kept checking her watch while she quickly went outside to get her bike. I could probably make it back here in time it’s no worries.. She’d just have to pedal faster.

Riding down the street, she couldn’t help but be pissed at Ren for selling the house again. The first time was a mess and the last time she had to beg the new owners to give it back. She knew how much of a selfish ing bastard Ren is and she swears she’ll really kill him this time if he sold the house.

She checked her watch again and started pedaling even faster. She was nearing the end of the street when she saw the black car parked right in front of her house. She practically jumped off her bike when she arrived.

She narrowed her eyes after seeing a familiar redhead. “Sana?”

“Oh Tzuyu!” Sana beamed and quickly got up from the steps as she saw a panting Tzuyu staring at her. Sana hasn’t planned on coming to her house; she just got into her car after breakfast, going for a drive to clear her mind. When suddenly she realized she drove herself here. It’s a miracle she actually remembered where the girl lived after the heavy rain that night.

“What… are you doing here?” She was actually glad that it wasn’t some woman here coming to tell her that her house has been sold. But she was really surprised to see Sana. And a little annoyed that she rode so fast just to get here.

Sana awkwardly chuckled, “I’m here to pay you back for the cab and to thank you for your hospitality.. uhm you’re really kind”

Tzuyu gave her half a smile and slightly shook her head. “There’s no need for that. It’s fine, really. I’m glad to see you’re okay”

“I insist! Let me treat you to dinner if you’d like”

Tzuyu wiped her sweat on her sleeve and pushed her bike inside the small yard. She then sat on the stairs Sana had previously been sitting on. Her legs were burning. “Sana, it’s really fine. You really don’t have to do that”

“But I want to” Sana said with a pout and Tzuyu couldn’t help but find it cute. “What time do you get off work?”

Tzuyu stares at her a little, “At one..”

“Oh” Sana checks the time on her phone. “That’s great, it’s-“

She was cut off when she heard Tzuyu say “AM”

“Huh?”

Tzuyu rubbed her hands on her jeans. “I get off at 1 am”

Sana was a bit taken aback. She’s never worked a day in her life but even she knew those hours were crazy. “Why does the restaurant have you working so late? You go to work in the morning and get off in the morning too? That doesn’t seem right” she frowned.

“Nah, it’s not the restaurant. I work a different job in the morning and then I go to work at the restaurant after” Tzuyu explained.

“You work two jobs?”

Tzuyu shrugged, “I’ve got bills to pay”

Sana was curious but she didn’t want to pry. She somehow felt great sympathy towards the brunette. She’s so young yet she needs to take care of herself and her mother. “What about lunch? Have you had lunch yet?”

Tzuyu looks at the time on her watch, “Well, I’ve got about 30 minutes left. Which means I need to leave right now if I want to make it back on time” she gets up and goes to peek through the window. She sees her mother near the table eating her food. She didn’t want go inside and explained to her mother why she’s here at this time, just watching her through the window was enough.

She turns around and sees Sana fiddling with her fingers shyly. She really is adorable.

“I’m really sorry, Sana. But I’ve got to get back now” Tzuyu walks to get her bike but Sana grabs her by the arm. “Wait! Let me give you a ride back”

“I appreciate the offer but I need my bike to you know.. move around”

“I can take you to your next job and back home”

Tzuyu was baffled. “Uh, my job ends at 1 am. You don’t have to do that, Sana. It’s fine. I don’t want you to feel like you owe me something. I helped you out because it was the right thing to do”

“Just let me do this once” she begged. “Please?”

Tzuyu sighed. Her persistence was a little annoying and she really needed to get back to work. She figured if she let Sana do this for her then maybe she’d let it go. “Alright.. just let me put my bike in”

Sana happily smiled as she saw Tzuyu walk around the back with her bike, she pressed her keys and unlocked her car. Turning around she found Tzuyu walking back while rubbing her hand on her jacket.

“You ready to go?”

Tzuyu nodded. Sana got in the car first and watched as the girl closed the gate and nervously opened the passenger’s door and hesitated a little before getting in.

“Don’t be nervous.. I’m not going to kidnap you are anything” Sana joked.

“Ah..” Tzuyu gave a nervous chuckle, “it’s not that” she was afraid of Sana in the slightest, she was just worried about how she’s going to get back home after work. Surely, Sana wouldn’t wait for hours just to take her back home. She instead changed the topic. “I’ve never been in one of these before.. it’s really nice”

“Yeah? You like it?”

“It’s so sick. It’s not my dream car or whatever but I wouldn’t mind owning a BMW”

“Where to?” Sana asked.

“Oh uhm, Soul Cup cafe” Sana entered it into the GPS and started the car. After driving off, she decided to continue their previous conversation. “What’s your dream car?”

“I won’t say something cliche like a Lamborghini or a Tesla but I’ve always wanted a blue Ford Galaxy”

“Really?” It’s definitely not the cutest car in the world.

“I know what you’re thinking. They may look a little chunky but they’re cute! Besides, it's one of the best cars that accommodate wheelchairs”

Sana knew she was referring to her mother. She wasn’t sure whether to ask about it or not so she didn’t. She didn’t want to make Tzuyu uncomfortable.

Tzuyu was staring out the window when she felt her phone vibrate. She pulled out her phone and saw she got a text from Nayeon asking her if she’s okay.

Nayeon had been watching them through the window just in case Tzuyu got into some trouble. So when she saw her get into this car with that woman she needed to know if the girl was alright. Tzuyu texted her back saying that she was and that Ren didn’t sell the house this time. She also said the woman was nobody important so that helped to ease Nayeon‘s worries.

The car ride was short and they made small conversation about how Sana actually got this car.

“So this is it..” Tzuyu said.

Pulling up to the cafe, it wasn’t really what Sana had envisioned. She thought the cafe would be something like Starbucks but instead, it was a small building, cramped between two large stores. “Hmm…” Sana hummed and nodded.

“Uhh- so I can text you when I’m done if you want.” Tzuyu took out her phone and flipped it open. “..or you can forget about this whole thing too if you want”

Sana stared at Tzuyu’s phone, not really thinking how ancient it was but more so how she badly wanted Tzuyu’s number. “Give me your number instead”

“Ah.. okay? But how are you going-“

“Just put your number in please”

“Okay..” Tzuyu put the numbers in and gave her back her phone.

Sana looked at the number and saved her name with a little heart.

Rubbing her hands on her knees, Tzuyu was feeling a little awkward. “So, I’ll just get going now. Thanks for the ride, Sana.” she opened the door and got out. Sana quickly got out as well and followed her.

“You’re coming in?”

“I’ll wait for you inside”

“You’ll wait?”

Sana nodded, “Mhm, til’ you’re done so we can head out to your next job” she was about to go in but Tzuyu stood in front of her. “Sana, I don’t get off for another..” she checked her watch, “3 or 4 hours!”

“What’s wrong with that?”

The way Sana casually said left her baffled. Didn’t this woman have a job or school to go to? Why was she so willing to wait for so many hours. “Uh, are you okay? Sana, that’s a lot of hours! My next job starts at 5 and ends at 1. I really don’t want you waiting for me”

“Why not? I don’t mind” Sana’s voice became small as she lowered her head and Tzuyu felt kinda bad. No, Tzuyu you shouldn’t feel bad because this is crazy!

“Because I-” her own stomach had cut her off with a loud grumble. She held her stomach and avoided Sana’s gaze. “I-I-”

Sana giggled, “You’re hungry right? Let’s get you something to eat.” she pulled Tzuyu by the hand inside.

Tzuyu really didn’t have the time or energy to keep going back and forward with this. If Sana wanted to do this then so be it. She looked at the clock on the wall and saw she only had about 15 minutes left.

Inside the building was a lot different than the outside, it was a dainty little cafe with about six tables. Near the counter was the display of different pastries and Sana saw as the person behind the counter greeted Tzuyu with a nod.

She kept pulling them both towards an empty table near the window. She slid in one of the booths and pulled Tzuyu down next to her. “I’ll order something for you”

“There’s no need. I’ve got 15 minutes to deal with and my lunch is right here” she patted her bag. She then pulled out a paper brown bag and a tumbler. She had offered Sana some but she declined.

“Are you sure you don’t want me to get you anything?” Sana asked as she watched Tzuyu munching on her sandwich that consisted of a slice of ham and cheese between two slices of bread.

Tzuyu shook her head. “It’s fine. You should get something for yourself. It’s going to be a long wait” she gave her a smile before she drank some of her water. The place wasn’t super busy or packed so Sana didn’t really understand why Tzuyu was rushing to eat. But Tzuyu was a hard worker and she took her jobs seriously.

She stood up to throw away her wrapper and grabbed her things. “I need to get back now. You cool with just sitting here? I can bring you something if you’d like”

Sana rested her palm on her chin and smiled up at her. “That would be lovely, thank you”

“What would you like?”

“Surprise me”

Tzuyu nodded and gave her a small smile then walked away. She went back to her locker to put up her things and grab her apron and visor. She put them on and went to make Sana’s coffee.

“That your girl?” she glanced over her shoulder to see Ten staring at Sana.

“Nah, I barely know her”

“You sure? Saw the way she was pulling you around and looking at you”

Tzuyu shrugged and pulled out one of the muffins from the display. She then walked towards Sana’s table. “Here we go” she sat the pastry and the coffee down. “You should get some real food to eat. There are some places nearby”

Looking at a concerned Tzuyu standing there in her apron and peach-colored polo along with her black visor, Sana couldn’t help but find the girl really cute. “This is fine, I’m on a diet anyway” she wasn’t really on a diet. She just didn’t want to go and order any food, nor was she in the mood to have anything delivered to her.

Tzuyu frowned and scr
