[Jiyeon's POV]

You look at Hyunjung, you see her playing with Yujin. Her smile wide as ever.

You remember her saying that she had always wanted to have a child and honestly you know she'll be a good parent. For you though, you have never thought of having a child, so you say to her that you aren't ready yet. She says she understands but part of you still feels guilty

You didn't fully believe her until Yujin was born. The moment Soobin and Sojung let her held their newborn baby, Hyunjung's smile was over the roof. Always taking care of the child whenever she has the chance. Buying yujin everything she could think of, Soobin and Sojung once told you that your wife is spoiling their child so much, you sigh before agreeing

Just like today, Yujin had shown interest for trains so Hyunjung didn't hesitate to give the kid a big train set toy for her 3rd birthday

Hyunjung must've noticed you looking because she looks at you and smiles. You see her pointing at you and mumbles something to the child, Yujin looks at you and waves her hand. You smile while waving back to them.

You see Hyunjung going somewhere, probably at the backyard to play with Yujin. You go back to scrolling on your phone, and made yourself comfortable at the couch

At some point you see Hyunjung approaching you with no child in hand

"Are you okay?" You feel Hyunjung sit next to you

"Huh? Of course I am. Where's Yujin?" You put down your phone and faced your wife

"I gave her to Juyeon. Are you sure you're okay? You look down. Did something happen? Do you want to go home?" You see a concerned look on her face

"I'm fine, don't worry" You say. She opens her arms, inviting you to her embrace

"Okay" You know she doesn't believe you, so you lean into her and she immediately embraces you. Hyunjung's warm, she had always been warm

"Jiyeon-ah" Hyunjung says the moment you enter the house

"Hmm?"

"You know you can tell me anything. are you sure you're okay?" You turn around to look her and you see a frown on her face

"I told you I am" You reply, wanting the frown on her face to be replaced with ease instead

"You look so down earlier" Hyunjung steps closer to you, she embraces you. You lean onto her shoulder, you feel her hand caressing your back gently and the other is holding the back of your head

You sigh before tightening your arms around her waist

"It's just-I know how much you wanted to have a child but I can't give you one"

"Huh? Didn't we have this talk before? I told you, if you don't want a child then we won't have one. You're more than enough for me" She holds you tighter and you feel your heart clenching, here she is again, always putting you first before anything else.

"If you're feeling bad, don't. I'm really okay. Plus we have a niece, we have Yujin to take care of" She kisses your head to prove her point

You pull her impossibly closer.

"Do you want our child to be a girl or a boy?" You ask. She pushes you softly to look at you, confusion all over her face that you have always find so endearing

"What?"

"I want our child to be a girl" You say, you see her eyes light up and it felt amazing. Her smile and her giggles makes you confident that both of you could do it.

"Are you sure? You know we don't have to"

"I'm sure. Just promise me that we would do this together"

"I promise" Hyunjung says before planting a sweet gentle kiss on your forehead. You hug her once more, tighter than ever

"I love you" You mumble on her neck

"I love you, Jiyeon-ah"
