[Hewwo. And welcome to the chapter. I got to say, I'm sorry for taking this ling to update this cause I thought I'd finish this chapter in like 3-4 day after the last episode came out. But it kinda took about a week and half to write. XD. So I just have to say is prepared yourself with this mixed angst story line. As I like to say this again as I said it in the description.. Credits goes to the original writer.. I just take his/her story line of soljiwan into my own and making it more detailed as I can. "Ah, jeez, what a jerk." A girl said looking at her phone while the braided girl took out her favorite snack to eat

"What is it this time, Bit Na?" A tall figured asked

"This guy that I'm on a blind date with suggested going to a hotel instead of a motel and now he wants me to chip in? Wow."

"Who is it? Another guy you met through the app yesterday?" A braided girl asked taking a peek at her phone

"Yea." Bit Na replied

"I wouldn't feel this upset if he was good. It wouldn't even be worth spending the night with." She added

"Then why spend the night with him?" The tall figured asked

"Sol, He must've been handsome because she loves handsome guys." The braided girl said looking at Sol then Bit Na

"This is so annoying. Come on. Let's go for a smoke, Jiwan" Bit Na said nudging Jiwan to go with her

"Nope. I can't. I'm quitting for a while. I'm not going to smoke for three days. Three days." Jiwan said shaking her head as shes eating her gummy bears

"W-whats in three days? Is that why you're eating gummy bears?" Bit Na asked

"A blind date and no. I like to eat gummy bears cause Sol always buys them for me." She replied smiling

 

Another blind date.. Sol said in her thoughts

 

"I'll quit until then, and if he likes me back, then I'm quitting smoking for good." She added

 

And then she'll get rejected as usual..

 

"Another blind date?" The short hair girl, Nabi asked

"She's unbelievable. Do you like men that much?" Bit Na asked

"And you're the one to ask?" Jiwan asked back scrunching her nose

 

And comes crying to me after getting drunk..

 

"Point taken." Bit Na said looking at the short hair girl.

"Ahh.. enough.. This is annoying." Sol suddenly said as she stood up with her hands in her pockets while they looked at her.

"Are you going back to work on your assignment?" Sol asked looking at Jiwan

"Sure." Jiwan said as she stood up and wrapped her arm around Sol's right arm.

"Are you really not going?" Bit Na asked as they walked away

"Nope!"

"Hul.. then who's going to smoke with me? What if I get kidnapped while smoking alone?" I wonder if my mom would cry if —"

"I'll come with you." Nabi said as Bit Na smiled and stood up

"Let's go," she said as she wrapped her arm around Nabi's shoulder.

Sol and Jiwan walked to their workspace as Sol went to her backpack and grabbed her headphones from her backpack, resting them on her neck while Jiwan sat down and continued eating her gummies as she looked at her sculptures of gummy bears on her table. She smiled as they reminded her of the childhood memories when she was young.

 

"Are you already down with your assignment? What is your assignment? Sculpting gummy bears? What are you, a kid?" One of the classmates asked, giving himself a laugh as Jiwan looked up from her workspace and looked at him while Sol heard a familiar angelic voice through her unplugged headphones and couldn't help herself but to look.

"It's for my assignment." Jiwan said

"Professor said that we could sculpt anything we wanted to represent, whether it's cool, weird or childish. so I made gummy bears." She added as he looked at her weird

"What are these gummy bears supposed to represent?"

"Childhood memories." Jiwan said with a smile

"We're not little kids anymore. Can't you think like your age or something?" He asked to pick up one of the gummies and pretend to throw it at Jiwan, but a hand stopped him from doing so.

"You shouldn't play around with your classmates' sculptures. It'll be a mess if you do." Sol sternly said as he looked at his assignment then to Sol and gulped.

"R-right." He stuttered as he put down the gummy bear

"Whether or not, if it takes a long time or short time to make something for the assignment, you should never misinterpret a work of art, even if it looks childish." Sol said as he nodded and walked to his workspace, scared of Sol.

Jiwan smiles at Sol as she's happy to be best friends with Sol and also be in the same class.

 

She's such a cool friend to have.

"Yah, Sol."

"Hm?" Sol hummed as she opened a small bag of gummies and looked at Jiwan

"Do you think I'll do my best if I went to the same sculpture class with you?" Jiwan asked as Sol smiled and passed the gummy bag to her to eat.

"Why all of sudden are you doubting yourself?"

"I want to make sure, Sol. What if I make something childish and others will make fun of me?" Jiwan pouted as

"Like what?"

"Mmmm.." Jiwan mmmed and thinks

"Like these gummy bears?" Jiwan asked, showing the bag of gummy bears as Sol shook her head and put her hand on top of Jiwan's head.

"You'll do fine. I'll protect you if they do. Making art out of clay can also be fun. Don't think too much negativity about it. Okay?" Sol said as Jiwan smiles and nods

"Mm."

That's when I started having feelings.. even if I have to put some trust in her when she goes on blind dates.. my feelings grow for her..

And only her.

 

Sol took a glance at Jiwan as she was busy humming a melody while eating her bags of gummies.

Two Days Later..

 

Sol and Jiwan walked to their workspace after their session with the professor. They sat down on their seats as Jiwan was thinking about what to wear for her date while playing with her gummy bear sculpture.

 

"Hmm. I wonder what I should wear... Yah, Sol." Jiwan said as she saw Sol looking in her backpack

"Hm?" She hummed as she was listening

"What do you think I should wear? Summer clothing or a dress?"

"For the gathering or your date?" Sol asked back

"Date." Jiwan replied

 

Why did I ask..

 

"Anything you wear looks good on you" Sol said still looking in her backpack as Jiwan smiled

"Hehe, that's why I have a best friend like you." Jiwan said with a little giggle as she was wondering what Sol was doing

 

Best friend..

 

"What are you looking for?" Jiwan asked

"Well, I thought I had my drawing pencils with me, but I guess I left them at home when I was using them last night." Sol said as Jiwan pouted and looked at her desk

"Here." Jiwan said as Sol looks at her

"You can use my pencil for now. Just give it back when you're done." Jiwan said as Sol nod

"Thanks." Sol said as she wrote something on a piece of paper

"Oh.. what time is it?" Sol asked

"Uhh. 11:22, why are you asking?"

"Oh.. Um.. The professor asked me to drop by because she wanted to talk to me about something."

"Oh, really?"

"Yea. I gotta go now. You can go home first." Sol said packing her stuff and stood up to walk out of the classroom

"Here's your pencil back. I'll see you later." Sol said walking out the classroom

"Ah! Bye.." Jiwan muttered and pouted as Sol didn't look back.

 

What could the professor want to talk to her about?

 

If only we lived inside of 'Once'

"Ugh.. I swear I think she said "inspiration" like 1000 times." Sol said to Nabi as they walked out of the professor's office

"Here, I was gonna show it to you later after I talked to the professor. You probably want to look at some of the exchange programs that I have listed out."Nabi said handing the file over to the other

"O-oh. Thanks" she said

"Ugggh.. I listed all of the universities that I wanted to go, but didn't think about my grades for them." Nabi groan as she looked at Sol

"I'm jealous of you Sol. You can pretty much go anywhere."

"Well.. it might not be the best idea to go abroad anymore. It feels like I'm running away."

"Run away? From what?"

"I-"

"Yoon Sol!!" A voice called out as they both turned to the voice and Sol saw her best friend running up to her to hug her while she hides a file that was given to her from Nabi

 

Why is she here? I thought I told her to go home?

 

"Hi Nabi, what did the professor talk to you too? What did she say?" She asked, looking at them

"Oh, it was about the exc-"

"Just some advice about the assignment." Sol interrupted Nabi as Nabi looks at her while Jiwan pouted

"Without me? This is just favoritism."

"It's nothing special. Just wanted to clear something out with the professor. We'll be off." Sol said slowly pushing Jiwan towards the exit

"O-oh okay, see ya." Nabi said

"Bye." Jiwan said as they walked away while Nabi was confused on why Sol lied to Jiwan

Sol and Jiwan walked outside of campus as Sol noticed Jiwan's clothing.

"Why are you dressed so nicely?"

"What do you think? Do I look pretty? That's a relief." Jiwan said as she ate a gummy bear

"Is it because of the gathering today?" Sol asked

"Well, actually, my blind date was supposed to be tomorrow, but he suddenly said that something urgent came up and asked if we could meet today or else it'll be a while for him to be available." Jiwan said

 

Why are you doing this to me? hurting me? making me jealous?

 

"You know how you shouldn't put off a blind date for too long. So then, I just agreed to meet him today." She added as Sol looked at her

"What? Then what about our gathering today?" Sol asked as Jiwan smiled

 

Don't do it..

 

"You can tell the others for me."

"Yah.. I already told you that I'm not going. You're the one who made a commoti--." Sol said

 

Don't give me that face..

 

"I know, I know, but I'm really sorry. But you know if you don't go either, they're gonna curse me to death. Please, just this once?" Jiwan whine with a pout

 

There it is... I can't say no to that..

 

Sol sigh as she can't resist her sad face and gives in because she couldn't say no to a cute face of hers.

"Please?"

"Gosh, fine--" Sol stopped talking as Jiwan suddenly jump at Sol to hug her

"I love you!"

 

But your love is different to mine

 

"If things go well with my date, I'll set you up with someone too." Jiwan said as Sol shook her head

"There's no need." Sol said coldly as she walked away

 

Stop going on these blind dates and...

 

"Oh, come on." Jiwan asked as she followed her.

"Cause I'm not looking for a relationship yet." Sol said

 

Date me instead.. please..

 

"Well, whenever you are ready, tell me and I'll set you up." Jiwan said, clinging onto Sol's arm as Sol shook her head.

 

If only, my desire for her to only look at me and love me...

 

"Do you want me to drop you off before I go?" Sol asked as Jiwan shook her head.

"It's okay. I'll get there myself."

"Okay, I'll go then." Sol said as she wanted to say something but stopped herself.

"Hm.. Bye." Jiwan waves

"Bye." Sol said as she waves back.

 

I hope my feelings didn't show just now.. I can't ruin our friendship..

 

Sol looked back as she saw Jiwan walking in the opposite direction, swinging her arms happily. Sol's lips curved upwards into a small sad smile.

 

Is it best to leave and forget everything about my feelings for her?

"Oh my god, that professor gives us so many assignments. It's awful." One of the girls said as they laughed while Sol was on her phone listening to them and fake laugh.

"You took that class? Why didn't you tell me?" Another one said

"Jiwan's still not replying?" The girl sitting next to her asked as she shook her head and looked at her.

 

Why does it look like I'm trying to message her like a couple would do..

 

"No."

"She's not reading my message, so I'm guessing she's still with him."

"Don't you ever get sick and tired of Jiwan, Sol? You guys hang out and be together every single day nonstop." One of them asked as Sol shook her head.

"No, I don't. I don't get tired of Jiwan. She's like a vitamin that brightens the mood." Sol said as they went 'oooo'

 

Was that a weird thing to say?

 

"She said she'd make it quick. I guess things must be going well then." The girl sitting in front of Sol said changing the subject.

 

It can't be..

 

"Hey, that's a gift. Jiwan is always popular with guys, that's why guys like her." Another one said as Sol looked down to her hands

 

T-that's true..

 

"I'm so jealous. Back in the days, so many guys would ask for her number at our high school festival." The girl in front of Sol said as Sol looked at her phone to see if Jiwan messaged back.

"But it seems like Jiwan likes the guy this time, too." The girl next to Sol said as they giggled while Sol scoffed at her comment.

"There's no point. I bet she'll get tired of him within a month."

 

True.. she'll get tired of him or the other way around.

 

"That's right."

"It's her biggest wish to go on a couple's trip for a one year anniversary." Another one said as they giggled as Sol smiled

"That's so cute."

"So cute."

 

Sol looked at her phone again, but no message. The food buzzer buzzed on the table as Sol suddenly stood up and grabbed it, making everyone look at her.

 

Why does it hurt when they talk about possibilities that Jiwan will like this guy? Whats so good about him Jiwan?

 

"Ah.. I'm gonna get the food." Sol said

"Are you sure? We sure ordered a lot."

"Can you carry them all?"

"Y-Yea.. It's fine. You guys keep on talking." Sol said as she walked towards the counter.

 

Sol looked at her phone again as she made a frown on her face because usually Jiwan would reply back instantly, but it's different this time.

Sol stopped walking and stood still as she thought she would never do this again.

 

Should I really do this again and watch my heart break even more?

 

She sigh as she takes out a baseball hat from her backpack and turns around. She walked on the bus nearby as she went on the bus as it was about to depart. Sol held the handle bar on the ceiling as looked around the bus and saw a familiar short figure. She watches the figure sit on the bus while texting. It was a couple of minutes later and half of the people on the bus stood up and were waiting at the doors, blocking her sight of the figure. Sol tries to look for the figure while everyone exits the bus, but she isn't there.

 

Where—

 

She looked out the window and watched as the figure walked away. Sol quickly got off the bus as the doors were about to close. She looks around and finds the figure walking down the streets. Sol watched as the figure walked by a street light and waited there as other people were waiting too. She stood a few people behind the figure as the walking light turned green. Sol stood there as the figure walked away.

 

Don't leave..

 

Sol stood at her spot and watched the figure waiting on the other side of the street. She then saw the short figure smile at a guy as they greeted each other. They walked as Sol walked as well, watching them from afar across the street.

 

Don't smile..

 

They laughed.

 

Don't laugh..

 

They look at each other.

 

Don't stare too much..

 

Sol noticed her vision getting blurry as tears rolled down her cheeks. She wipes them away as she looks down. Sol shakes her head and looks at them as they enter a cafe.

 

What am I waiting for? For her to leave him and come back to me? Why am I trying to wish for her to leave and love me?

 

Sol scoffed and pulled her baseball hat down to hide her face.

 

I hate this feeling.

 

Sol walked back to the bus stop and waited for the bus. Sol looked up and sigh as her tears fall.

"Ah!" Sol suddenly fall to the ground as she hit her forehead on a chair leg

"Aishhh..." A husky voice said as Sol winced in pain on her forehead.

Sol looked up and saw the guy's shirt all brown and wet

"Ah.. Oh.. What to do.. I'm so sorry." Sol asked giving him a napkin as the guy looked at her

"I'm okay. Are you okay?"

"Yea. I'm sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going." Sol said as he shook his head.

"I'm okay." he said looking at his shirt.

"Let me go buy a simple shirt nearby to help you." Sol said as she went towards the counter to get the order and went back to the girls

"I'll be right back."

"What's going on, Sol?"

"I-"

"It's okay. It should somewhat come off if I wash it." He said as he went to the bathroom.

Sol sigh as she is frustrated, pulls her hair back and waits for him outside.

"Aishh.." Sol mutters as she hears footsteps coming.

The guy saw her as she turned and gave him a piece of paper.

"Here. This is my number. If you text me your bank account number and the cost, I'll send you the money." Sol said as he looked at the paper then at Sol.

"Sure. I'll keep in touch," He said as Sol bowed to him as he bowed back

"I'm really sorry about this."

"It's okay." He said as he saw something red

"Your head is a bit red? Are you okay?" He asked

"Ahh.. It's okay. My head is like a rock." Sol said pulling her hair behind her ear as her friend saw her talking to the guy, she bumped into

"Are you not hurt at all? I'm pretty sure I ran into you." Sol asked as he smiled and shook his head

"I'm fine. No need to worry." He replied

"That's a relief, then." Sol said as she gave a small smile.

"I gotta get going."

"Oh.. Okay, I'm sorry again." Sol said as he smiled

"It's okay. I'll see you next time."

"Okay." Sol said as he waved and walked out of the cafe.

Sol walked to her friends as they looked at her with the 'oooo' face.

"W-What?" Sol asked as they smiled

"What was that?"

"It was an accident. I made him spill his drink onto his shirt." Sol replied

"He looks cute. Did he ask you for your number?"

"N-No. I gave him my number to give me his bank number, so I can pay for the cost of the accident."

"Are you gonna see him again?"

"Why would I? I'm not looking for a relationship." Sol said

"Why not? You'd be losing a good looking guy."

"I'm just not looking for one." Sol said as she stand up

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going home now. I'm tired." Sol said as she grab her drink and waved at her friends

"Bye."

"Bye."

Sol reached to her place as she threw her backpack on the side of her bed and lied on her bed. She took her phone out of her pocket and looked at it as there was a message.

Sol let her hand fall down to her side as she sighs and looks at her room ceiling.

 

I guess she really likes him.

 

Sol put her hand over her eyes as her vision was getting blurry.

Next Day

 

Everyone was in the sculpture classroom to draw their pose for their extra credit assignment.

 

"Tsk.. this is so embarrassing." one of the guy said as he pushed away the other classmate who had a camera on his hand,

"You're actually--

"Can you stop moving and stay still?" another one said

"Sol, put your hand like this." Jiwan said as Sol copied her

"Like this?"

"Yea."

"Put your hand out, so I can see them."

"Okay." Sol said as she tried to pose the way Jiwan wanted

"No, cross them like this."

"Like this?"

"Yes, that's it." Jiwan replied as she began to draw Sol.

"Where do you want me to look?"

"You can just look at me." Jiwan said as Sol went silent.

 

I'm always looking at you,

 

Jiwan looked up and down as she drew Sol. Sol watches her as she gives a small smile, seeing how cute and focused her best friend is, but Jiwan didn't see it.

 

"But Sol," Jiwan said as she suddenly got up

 

Why are Sol's eyes a bit red?

 

"Your eyes, nose and mouth are all so pretty." She said leaning closer to Sol while Sol gulped and slowly backing away

 

Too close..

 

"And your eyebrows are pretty too." Jiwan added as she touched Sol's eyebrow while Sol could hear her heart rapidly getting faster.

 

Don't do this to me... not here..

 

"I'm so jealous." Jiwan said as sat down

 

Did Sol cry last night? But for what? Did something happen at the gathering? Or something else happened?

 

"What should we eat for lunch?" She suddenly asked

"And how did you hurt yourself again?"

"Did you tell me earlier? Jiwan asked again

"Jeez, why are you always randomly asking these questions back to back without letting me answer them?" Sol asked with a smile

"No, I'm not. To me, there's always a flow." Jiwan said as Sol smiles at her silliness.

"Ahh.. Make tha posture again. You moved."

"O-Oh.. Sorry. What did it look like again?" Sol asked

"Just like before.. Hurry, hurry, hurry!" Jiwan said as Sol quickly went back to position.

"Oh.. before I ask, how was your blind date yesterday?" Sol asked

"Hmm.. It was fine. I think I'll meet him again." Jiwan said as she looked up from her sketchbook.

 

Meet again.. But how many times? Do I wait for you again?

 

"We have similar tastes in films. So we decided to watch one together next time." Jiwan said looking down at her sketchbook

 

Will he love you more than me?

 

"That's great to hear." Sol said as she gave a fake smile.

 

Sol watches Jiwan sketch her in her sketchbook as she thought she should just give up her love for her best friend and let her date this guy that she wants to date.

 

Will he take care of you better than me?

 

"I'm hungry. Should we get something to eat?"

"Sure. We can now go to the snack machine to eat something before we eat lunch?"

"Deal." Jiwan said as she set down her sketchbook on her desk as they both walked out of the classroom and walked towards the snack machine down the hall.

 

Sol looks at Jiwan secretly as she gives a small smile.

 

I guess my feelings have grown stronger since I didn't know how hard I have fallen for her, but I don't want to ruin this... our friendship... Being by her side is better than nothing.

 

"Hey Sol?" A voice said as Sol and Jiwan turned their heads to the person who called out

"The professor wants you to meet her tomorrow at her office after class." Nabi said as the bag falls from the vending machine

"O-Oh okay." Sol said as Jiwan grabs her gummy bear pack and looked at Nabi

 

Again..

 

"For what?" Jiwan said as Nabi looked at Sol while Sol gave her a signal not to say

"She didn't say." Nabi said

"Then-"

"Yah! Yah! Nabi, help me with this pose! I'll be taking her." Bit Na said grabbing Nabi away from them to the classroom

 

Jiwan pouted.

 

"This is total favoritism." Jiwan whined as Sol looked at her

"How so?"

"The professor is only calling for you and not anyone else in this class."

"It's probably nothing important." Sol said

"Should I come with you to see the professor?"

"I don't think she'll let you in." Sol said as Jiwan pouted

"Tsk.."

Jiwan looked at her phone as she smiled

 

"Who is it?"

"Ah, it's the blind date."

"What did he say?"

 

I'm curious...

 

"He said he wants to meet up in two days. He wanted to watch a film with me after I finished class." Jiwan said

"Oh... Well, have fun."

 

Ouch.. my heart...

 

"Mm, I'll tell you how it goes after." Jiwan smiled as Sol gave a small smile and nodded.

Sol walked to the sculpture office as she knocks on the door and opens it

 

"Hello." Sol said as one of them smiled

"Oh, hello, Sol." Gyeong Jun said as he gave a soft chuckled

"Have you still not decided on your school? The professor keeps asking me that." Eu Ddeum said

"No, I haven't yet." Sol said as she grabs the pencil on the wall and was about to write her name on the clipboard as the guy said

"Our professor would obviously want you to go to an elite university,"

 

If I go..

 

"But you should choose the one you really want to go to." He said as Sol nods

"Okay. I will. Thanks."

 

She'll hate me..

 

"No problem. Ask one of us if you have a problem choosing." He said as Sol nods

"Okay." Sol said as she wrote her name on the clipboard.

 

For sure.

 

"Is this a counseling room now?" Eu Ddeum asked as Gyeong Jun looked at her, smiled and nodded.

 

Brrrr brrrrr brrrrr brrrrr

 

Sol turned around as she heard her phone. It was unknown number as she was about to hang up

 

"Did you order a package? It could be the delivery guy." Gyeong Jun said as Sol looked at him

"Again? Enough with the packages!" Eu Ddeum said getting angry at him again.

"Okay."

"W-What?" He whispers as Eu Ddeum rolled her eyes

"Hello?" Sol answers the phone.

"Hello. This is Jun Ju-Hyeok."

"Eh? Who?"

"Oh, you asked me to call you. We bumped into each other at the cafe." He said as Sol remembers

"Uhh.. hold on.. I'll take my leave now." Sol said as they smiled

"Bye Sol."

"Bye."

Sol leaves the office as she puts her phone to her ear.

"In person?" Sol asked again

"Ne. Are you free?"

"N-No. I have some assignments to do."

"Oh.. well, text me when you want to meet up."

"Ne."

"Bye."

"Bye." Sol said as she hung up

"Hey, isn't Sol coming today?" A guy asked sitting on a bike as Bit Na was annoyed

"I don't know."

"I thought you were close to her?"

"I'm not close to her. Sol's only close to Jiwan." Bit Na said as she sighs.

"Plus, our department ace would never eat at the same table as us." She said as she turned to him

"But you have lunch with her often. You're being dramatic." Another guy said

"Don't you know what a metaphor is?" She asked him as he looked at the guy who was doing a wheelie.

"She's quick-witted.." The guy cleared his throat

"Take charge of your own love life if you like her." Bit Na said

"Yun Sol?" Gyu Hyun asked realized what they were talking about as he looked at Bit Na while she nods

"She's pretty. She's also sassy and extremely skilled. Hnnnng! She's totally my style." he said as he became a child

"But does she even like guys?" Bit Na asked as they looked at her

"What are you on about?" Gyun Hyun asked

"Well, No.. I just never saw her hang out with guys before. Have you?"

"Yah, I've never seen Gyu Hyun hang out with girls either. Then is he-- Are you?." The guy asked looking at him as Gyun Hyun was about to hit him

"What about me? Am I a guy, then?" She asked as he nods

"This jerk!" She shouted as she ran towards him to hit him.

"H-hold on.."

"Let me give you a beating!" Bit Na said throwing punches at him

"Yah, Yah, Stop it." Gyu Hyun said as the door opened

"What are you guys doing?" A voice said as they looked and said Jiwan

"You haven't quit yet?" Gyu Hyun said as Jiwan frowned while Bit Na stopped and laughed

"I knew it. It's hard to resist."

"What.. It's just a temporary project." Jiwan said

"What.. It's just a temporary project." Bit Na mimicked as the guy cleared his throat and sat next to Jiwan

"Jiwan.."

"What is Se Hun up to now?" Jiwan asked as Bit Na shrugged and Gyu Hyun shook his head.

"Can I ask you a favor?" Se Hun asked

"A favor? What is it?"

"We're going out for drinks today... Come with us and bring Sol with you." He suddenly said

"Sol? Wae?"

"Just bring her over and let him get rejected so he can shut up." Bit Na said as Jiwan scoffed

 

Se Hun likes Sol?

 

"You have a crush on her?" Jiwan asked, looking at him

"I think I do." Se Hun said as Jiwan looked at the floor

"Help me out, please?" He asked

"Oh Come on, Help me get close to her." He whine as Jiwan looked at the others

"He's serious." Gyun Hyun said

"Well, Okay. I'll ask her." Jiwan said as Se Hun did a small victory fist pump

"But she might refuse. She doesn't like drinking." Jiwan said as he became sad

"That's what I said. I'm pretty sure she won't come at all."

"Just try to ask her to come." He said

"Sol," Jiwan said as she saw Sol walk out of the classroom

"Everyone in our class is going out to drink. And they want you to come." Jiwan added as she sat on the drawer by the lockers.

"Including you?" Sol asked

"Mm, I want to go, but you don't have to go if it makes you uncomfortable." Jiwan said

"So are you coming along?"

 

She'll eventually call me over to pick her up.. Or knock on my door..

 

"Okay. Let's go." Putting her backpack in her locker

"You're really coming with us? Why?" Jiwan asked as Sol closed her locker

"What do you mean? Didn't you say you're going too?"

"Y-Yea.. Okay, let's go together." Jiwan stuttered as Sol chuckled

 

Jiwan still doesn't know her limit in alcohol..

 

"What kind of reaction was that?" Sol asked as she bends down to pick up a small bag of gummy bears that she bought for Jiwan

"By the way, Sol, what do you think of Yu Se Hun?" Jiwan asked

"Yu Se Hun? What about him?" Sol replied

"That's good. You're not that interested in him, right?" Jiwan said with smile

 

That's a relief, that Sol has no interest in him..

"Well.. he seems pretty funny." Sol said thinking really hard to say

"Mm.. Bye." Jiwan said as she watches Sol walked down the hall until she couldn't see her

They reached the place where everyone was at as they walked in.

 

"Finally, they are here. Come sit down!" Bit Na said as she waved at them

"Annyeong!" Jiwan said as she sat down next to Se Hun while Sol grabbed another seat next to Jiwan.

"Why do you have to sit here? That was for Sol." Se Hun whispered to Jiwan

"Too bad.. I got here first." Jiwan muttered as he sulk

 

If I get in between, he'll-- what am I doing?

 

Jiwan looked at Sol as Sol was confused

 

"Wae?" Sol asked as Jiwan shook her head and smile

"N-nothing." Jiwan said as she looked away

Jiwan poured herself a drink and drank it as Sol was shocked.

"What do you mean? I'm drinking." Jiwan said as she pours herself another one

"Ok! Ok! Let's drink! Let's clink and drink!" Bit Na said as everyone grabbed their cups and lifted in the middle of the table to clink and drink.

"It's so surprising that she came here." Bit Na said as Jiwan pointed at herself after drinking another while Se Hun was muttering that he was the one to ask Jiwan to get Sol to join, but they ignored him.

"I asked her to join us." Jiwan said as Sol nods

"It's pretty easy huh?" Bit Na added as Jiwan nodded and drank another.

"Who's ready for another round?" A guy said as Jiwan raised her hand

"Me! Me! Me!" Jiwan said as Sol grab her hand and put it down

"Yah.. you shouldn't drink too much." Sol said taking her cup away from Jiwan, but Jiwan didn't let

"But I want to drink some more."

"Let's go home now. You're getting drunk now." Sol whispered.

"You go home. I'm not drunk." Jiwan whine as Sol sighs

 

I don't like Sol in that way.. I like Sol as a friend

 

"Yah.. We're all going to Nabi's house to drink some more."

"Yea! Let's go!" Jiwan said as she stood up and almost fell, but caught herself while Sol was about to catch her.

Some went to Nabi's house as they continued the party there. They play some drinking games. They did a singing contest, then an alphabet game as next they now played a different game.

 

"Alright, wherever the bottle points at, is where the two people have to kiss. If not, then drink." Bit Na said as she spins the bottle

"Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin!" as the bottle pointed at two classmates

"Kiss! Kiss! Kiss! Kiss!"

"Ah.. Be quiet." The guy said

"Oh? Is he going to do it?"

"Is he?"

"Okay, move over." He said as he got up as the girl did and the kissed

Everyone cheered 'oooo'-ing at them.

"Ah! Ah! Quiet down.. The neighbors are gonna complain." Nabi said as everyone quieted down as the doorbell rang

"I told you to quiet down." Nabi said as she went to the door.

After talking to the neighbors, Nabi went back to her seat.

"Sorry." Bit Na said

"We should stop playing now." Nabi said

"We can't stop now."

"Let's spin on more time! Here we go!" Bit Na said as she spins the bottle

"Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin! Spin!" as the bottle pointed at Sol and either Se Hun or Jiwan

"It's m-"

"IT'S ME!! He shouted as Jiwan pushes he away

"It's me." Jiwan smiled as she starts crawling over to Sol

"Sit back down." Se Hun said as Jiwan went back to her spot while Sol stood up suddenly as everyone looked at her

"Going out to smoke." Sol said as she took her jacket and walked towards the front door.

"What about me?" Bit Na asked as Se Hun nudged Jiwan

"Oh! Sol! Your phone!" Bit Na said as Jiwan took it

"Jung Ju Hyeok?" Bit Na said as Se Hun and Jiwan looked at her

"That's not important (Jung Ju Hyeok pun) right now. Spin!" Bit Na said as she spins the bottle

Sol walked down the steps as she looked back at the apartment. She let out a sigh of relief and started to calm down her heart.

 

"Jeez. it had to be a game..." Sol hissed as she didn't want the alcohol to do all the work.

 

Sol took out her pack of cigs, took one out and put it in as she lit at the end. She inhaled it and exhale

 

Though... I missed my chance...

 

Sol inhaled the cig and looked in the night sky

 

But.. I can't let her know or show...

 

As she exhales

 

That my feelings for her are growing...

"Jiwan.. Why do you have to drink so much again.." Sol said as she struggled to get Jiwan in her bedroom.

"Sol! Sol! Let's drink some more!" Jiwan drunkenly said, flailing her arms in the air as Sol was losing her grip.

"Yah! Yah! Yo-Your falling!" Sol said as she fell with Jiwan.

"Ah!" Jiwan yelped as she closed her eyes while she fell.

 

Sol felt the pain on her back as she opened her eyes and saw Jiwan's head on her shoulder.

 

"Are you okay Jiwan?" Sol asked as Jiwan lift her head to see Sol and smiled

"That was fun!!!" Jiwan said as she threw her right arm in the air as a cheer while Sol sat up, moving Jiwan to sit on the floor.

"That was not. You could've hurt yourself if I wasn't here." Sol scolded as Jiwan pouted and wrapped her arms around Sol's shoulder and looked her in the eyes.

"Well, you're here now." Jiwan said as she tilted her head slightly to the right and smiled.

 

Sol sighs as she couldn't give in, even if Jiwan gets drunk, she couldn't say no to her drunk or not. Sol looked at the time as it was really, really late.

 

"Jiwan.. Let's go to the bedroom and sleep." Sol said as she tried to get out of the grip, but Jiwan didn't let go.

"Jiwan.." Sol said as Jiwan smiles.

 

Jiwan's hands placed on Sol's shoulders as Sol felt her hands pushed her down.

 

"J-Ji-Jiwan.." Sol was shocked by the short girl's action.

"Sol." Jiwan said as she stared at the tall girl's eyes

"Y-yea?"

"Do you love me?" Jiwan asked suddenly as Sol was surprised.

"W-W-why... Why are you asking me this?" Sol stuttered

"To see if you'll love me in the future. Even if we get into big or little fights..."Jiwan said as she stopped and tears formed in her eyes.

"I don't want to..... Losing my friend.. My one and only.... Friend... I can't.." Jiwan said as she hung her head down and let her tears fall.

 

Sol watches her as she feels heartbroken to see Jiwan feeling this way. Sol lifts her hand to pat her back, but she stopped herself

She moved Jiwan slightly away from her and moved her hand to Jiwan's face. Jiwan sniffled as Sol moved her face to look at her. Sol wipes Jiwan's tears as Jiwan cries more. Sol's eyes become blurry as she can't stop this.. Hurting.. Pain.. Uneasiness... Love..

 

It's now and never...

 

Sol pulls Jiwan's face closer to her as she leans in and kisses her in the lips.

Sol broke the kiss as she looked up to Jiwan. It was silent as neither of them talked, but heard their heartbeat beating.

Eagerly wanted to kiss the lips she had dreamed of. They moved away from each other, letting go of each other's lips as they stared at each other's eyes. Jiwan leans in and hugs Sol as she pats Sol's back

Sol's vision became blurry as she could hear soft snores coming from the short figure while her hand wasn't patting her back anymore. She took a peek at Jiwan as she fell asleep on her arms.

"Sol!" A voice said as Sol turned around and saw her best friend walking towards her.

"Hey." Sol said as Jiwan was standing in front of her

"W-who's this?" Jiwan asked as she pointed at the person

"Oh. This is my classmate for math. She's just asking about doing a study group tonight with a couple of other classmates."

"Why? There's other smart people in math class. Why do you have to go?" Jiwan asked as Sol scoffed into a small chuckle.

"They asked for me, Jiwan."

"So you go study with them when I need more help?" Jiwan asked

"W-whats wrong Jiwan? You've never--"

"It's nothing.. I guess I had the wrong idea then. I'm leaving." Jiwan said as she turned and walked away from them.

 

Jiwan storms out and into the school grounds as everyone looks at her. She walked into the sidewalk and towards the bus stop. She stopped at the light and waited for the light to go green.

 

She chose others over me..

 

The light turned green as people started to walk across the street. Jiwan sighed and started to walk. She felt someone hold her hand as she got yanked back and into someone's arms. Jiwan screams and punched the person in the stomach, but a hand covered as the other person to shush

 

"It's just me. It's me!" a voice said groaning in pain as Jiwan open her eyes and stared at the person,

"S-Sol?" Jiwan said as Sol nodded.

"Jesus, your punch hurts." Sol groans as she runs her stomach.

"Why didn't you call me out stead of scaring me like that?" Jiwan asked

"I did. You didn't hear me." Sol said

"R-really?"

"Mmm."

"W-Why are you here? Shouldn't you be with your 'study group'" Jiwan mocks the classmate as she rolls her eyes.

"I... told them to find someone else."

"Yea you're smart and-- wait you what?"

"I told them to find someone else... I couldn't leave.. My friend..." Sol mutters as Jiwan couldn't hear it

"What?"

"I said, I told them to find someone else. Do I have to repeat myself? I TOLD THEM TO FIND SOMEONE ELSE!" Sol shouted as everyone around them looked at them while Jiwan covered Sol's mouth as she bowed and apologized.

"Stop it.. Everyone is looking." Jiwan said as Sol laughed.

"Come on, let's go and find something to eat." Sol said as she grabbed Jiwan's hand to walk somewhere nearby to eat.

Everyone came inside Nabi's place as everyone was ready to sleep. Everyone picked their spots as it was just Sol and Jiwan to pick and it was only on Nabi's bed.

 

"We three can sleep on my bed." Nabi said as Sol nods,

"We won't take much room." Jiwan said as she hugs Sol while Nabi looks at her

"We always sleep together." Jiwan added

 

Usually it's when you're drunk or sober, you get too clingy.

 

"We'll go to bed first." Sol said slowly pushing Jiwan to the bed

"Good night." Jiwan said to Nabi as they walked to the bed

 

Sol watches as Jiwan gets on the bed as Jiwan scooched over and smiled, patting the empty space beside her. Sol gave a small smile and got on the bed. Sol grabbed the blanket as she pulled it over to Jiwan and got under it. Jiwan moved closer to Sol to wrap her arms around her waist.

 

She gets too cute when she's sober

 

Sol moved her right arm to go under Jiwan's head as a pillow while Jiwan accepted it. Jiwan then moved closer to Sol's chest as she heard Sol's heartbeat. Calm and collected.

 

Only I will be able to sleep this close to my Sol. No one else.

 

Jiwan closed her eyes as her eyes were getting heavy and drifted to sleep. Sol didn't notice Jiwan was sleeping close to her, but realized it as she moved back to give space while she was close to the edge of the bed.

 

Don't hear my heart.. It beats only for you.

 

Sol looked at the sleeping Jiwan as she brought her hand to softly touch Jiwan's cheek.

 

I love you, and my desires are growing and growing but..

 

Sol looks at her eyes, nose and lips.

She put her hand down as Jiwan suddenly moved in closer and hugged her.

"Uggggh.. My head." Se Hun groans as Jiwan exhale the smoke

"No one told you to drink so much yesterday." Bit Na said as he rolled his eyes

"I could've gotten a chance to kiss Sol, but nooooo, someone took it instead." Se Hun said as Jiwan rolled her eyes.

"He can never stop drinking.": Gyu Hyun said as everyone nods

"She would've done the same thing if you went to kiss her instead of me." Jiwan said as he groans

 

If she dated a guy, then we'll have less time to hangout..

 

"What should we do? The assignment is almost due." Bit Na said as they all worried, but Jiwan

 

I don't want that.

 

"Yah, Jiwan. Aren't you worried that the assignment is due in a week?" Se Hun asked

"Oh? Uhn. but I'm going on a blind date today, so I will be skipping class." Jiwan said as they were shocked

"Hul, you have all the time to do the assignment and you want to go on dates? That's so like you." Bit Na said as Gyu Hyun nods

"Well, the blind date guy asked if I was available now because he said there's a film that he'll like to watch with me."

"All of a sudden to watch a film?"

"Mm. I like to go see it." Jiwan said as she stood up

"I'll get going."

"What about Sol? Are you still gonna help me?" Se Hun asked

"She'll never date a guy like you, so don't get your hopes up. Okay. Bye guys!" Jiwan said as she walked towards the staircase and left them at the rooftop.

Jiwan walked all the way down the staircase as she stopped her tracks.

Sol heard the door open as she saw the cafe guy there looking around. She waved her hand in the air to let him know to sit. He walked over and sat in front of her.

"Hello."

"Hi. Have you been doing well?" Ju Hyeok asked

"Ne. Have you?" She replied and asked back

"Mm."

"What would you like to order?"

"2 of the usual order."

"Ne."

 

After a couple minutes of waiting, the owner came over and put their order in front of them.

 

"Alright, here are the sides for you guys."

"Ne. Thank you so much."

"No problem. I guess today you didn't bring your cute friend with you."

"Ne. She's busy today." Sol said as Jun Hyeok picked up the cup for him and Sol.

"She must be having fun. Well, I'll get the rest of your meal." The owner said as she walks in the kitchen

"Ne. Thank you. We'll enjoy our meal." Sol said as she saw Jung Hyeok pour water for her.

"You must come here all the time. Are you a regular here?" He asked

"Ne. I come here all the time with my friend. She likes to eat here. So this place is very famous in this neighborhood." Sol replied

"Danpunggol was the most popular when I was in school."

"You went to school here?"

"Ne. I was an Economics major. If I remember, I graduated 2 years ago."

"Oh, I see." Sol said as she remembers why she's here for.

 

She reached inside of her pocket jacket and pulled out a white envelope to give him as he watched her.

 

"I'm sorry about the other day. This should pay most of the expense for that day, but if it's not enough then, you can tell me." Sol said as she hands it over

"No it's okay. You don't have it." Ju Hyeok said as he passed it back while Sol shook her head

"No, really. Take it."

"I-I can't--"

 

Sol put the guy's hands down on the table and reached over to put the envelope in his pocket as he watched her do that. Sol leaned back on her seat and looked at him.

 

"I didn't ask to see you for this." He blurred out

"What? Then why--" Sol stopped as he didn't say anything

 

What does he mean--

 

"Here's your food. It's hot, so be careful and enjoy your food." The owner said as she sets down the soup in front of them

 

Maybe I'm thinking wrong..

 

"Ne. Thank you so much." Sol said as Ju Hyeok looked at his hand and smiled

"Why are you laughing?"

"Wow. I never thought you were this strong? Do you go to the gym often?" He asked as Sol smiled

"Oh, that's because I major in sculpture. I always work with clat, so I have a lot of strength in my hands." Sol said as he smiled and took the envelope out of his pocket and gave it back.

"Just by me this meal, that's enough."

"Even If I do that, I wouldn't feel comfortable with just that." Sol said

"Then, buy me coffee too."

"I'll buy some desserts as well." Sol added

"Deal." He said

Jiwan walked out of the theater as a guy walked next to her. They walked down the sidewalk.

 

"You must've enjoyed the film, Jiwan." He said as Jiwan smiles and nods

"Ne. It was so much, way better than I expected it to be." I will probably bring my friend here to watch it again."

"Your friend? It isn't a boy, right?" He asked looking at her

"Anni, She's a girl. Her name is Sol and she's been my best friend since middle school. She probably enjoyed this film as I did. I'll watch it with her someday.." Jiwan said as she turned and looked at the theater.

 

They walked as he then suddenly said.

"N-Ne, sounds good. But you didn't seem to enjoy it as much as I did though." Jiwan said

"No, That's not true. I really enjoyed it." He said

"But, it wasn't what I expected though." He added

"What do you mean?" Jiwan asked

"I thought it would be about romance, but it was more about friendship."

"Oh, friendship? I thought it felt like it was clearly about love-- but I guess you could have seen it that way too." Jiwan said looking away

 

It was about two friends in love... how could he not see it?

 

"But it was still good, so I enjoyed it." He said as Jiwan nods

"If you are hungry, wanna grab something to eat that is nearby?" He asked

"Sure. I'm really hungry."

"Ugh.. I said I'd buy it, but why did you pay?" Sol asked looking at the small bag as he looked at her

"Well, I didn't think it'd be enough to repay me."

"Ah, I knew it.." Sol said as she took out the envelope while he saw and took it and put it in the small bag.

"Can you pay next time?"

"Why?" Sol asked

"Because I would like to hang out with you next time. It's fun to hear about your projects and assignments." He replied smiling

"You did eat quite a lot." He said as Jiwan looked up and saw a familiar figure

"Oh.. That's Sol. She's the friend that I told you about." Jiwan said as they looked at them

 

Who is he? Is he the Jung Ju hyeok guy?

"That's weird, but I'm not really much of a talker." Sol said as he shook his head

"No, that's not true. I really enjoy listening to your stories." Ju Hyeok said, walking towards the nearby bus stop as Sol sighs and follows.

The Next Two Days

 

"Yah, come with me to the sculpture office with me. We have to see where to get some things for the festival tonight." Bit Na said as she put her arm around Jiwan.

"Okay." She said as they walked down the stairs and saw Nabi closed her locker

"Nabi!" Jiwan called out as Bit Na saw her too

"Hello!" Bit Na said as Nabi turned around.

"Oh, what is this? You look so good in that." Nabi said as Bit Na smiled

"Oh, thank you very much. Are you not coming to our booth tonight?" She asked as she walked beside Nabi

"I'm okay. How are the preparations going?"

"I'm sure things are going great. They have Jae-eon. My friend said that they are coming, but there might not be enough seats for them." Jiwan said walked ahead, following Bit Na and leaving Nabi behind as Bit Na turned around

"You have friends?"

"Of course I do!" Jiwan replied as she pouted while Nabi watches them

 

They walked into the sculpture office, meeting two other people who were sitting behind their desk

 

"Hello." Bit Na said as she entered

"Hello." Jiwan said as she followed

"Hi." Nabi said as she went to the clipboard

"Oh hello guys."

"Can we have more butane?" Bit Na asked as Gyeong Jun nods

"And where can we get more folding chairs?" Bit Na asked

"In the clubroom." Gyeong Jun said as he went to go get them

"Ahh.. the clubroom." Bit Na muttered as Jiwan was looking at who she was texting but Bit Na didn't let her see

"Oh, tell Sol not to go to the booth." The girl said as Jiwan looks at her

"She'll run into the professor and get nagged to death?" She added as Nabi turned and looked at them

"Nagged? What do you mean?" Jiwan asked as Nabi wa signaling not to say, but failed

"Don't you know? It's for the exchange program. It's really exhausting for me too."

 

Exchange program? And she didn't tell me about it?

 

"Of course she'll get a full scholarship. Whats holding her back?" Bit Na asked as Jiwan looked at her and then looked away, thinking.

 

She's leaving?

 

"Some people are dying to go."

"It's not an easy decision to make though. Here you go." Gyeong Jun said as he passed the butane over to them.

"The exchange program?" Jiwan suddenly blurt out

"What? you didn't know?" Bit Na asked as she put her phone down to carry the butanes

"Y-yea. She didn't tell me." Jiwan said sad

 

Why do I have to hear things about Sol from other people instead of Sol telling me herself?

 

"All the professors are leaving. Let's take these."

"Ne."

"Let's go." He said as Jiwan bows and follows Bit Na

"Thank you and bye." Bit Na said as she left the room

 

When was she going to tell me?

 

Jiwan followed her as Nabi watched her and noticed that she's sad that Sol didn't tell her.

 

Why does my chest hurt? Why didn't she tell me?

 

"I'm gonna go take a smoke." Jiwan suddenly said

"Okay. I'll go and give these to the guys." Bit Ba said as Jiwan nods

"Ill see you later." Jiwan said

"See ya."

Jiwan walked to the nearest exit by the sculpture class as she went to the staircase and took out her vape. Nabi followed Jiwan as she sighs

 

Should I ask who he was? What they were doing during that day? Asked if he kissed...?

 

"What are you doing here?" Nabi asked as she pat Jiwan's back

"Nothing much." Jiwan replied

"Aren't you going to the flea market?" Nabi asked

"So you can see Eun-hae?" Jiwan asked back

"What?"

"I heard that there was something going on between you two. I heard everything."

"From Bit Na?" Nabi asked

"Mhmm. But that's a good thing because i don't know him well, but he sounds way better than Jae-eon." Jiwan said as Nabi smiles

"The last time the professor called for you two.. was about the exchange program?" Jiwan asked as Nabi looked at her and looked away.

"That's right." Nabi replied as Jiwan nods

"I see."

 

She didn't tell me during that time.. or the second time too..

 

"But Bit Na didn't hear it from Sol either. Sol was probably thinking of telling you first. I only heard about it when we went to the professor together."

 

I guess she didn't want to tell me cause she knows I'll be upset..

 

"I know why she didn't tell me. Just so I didn't get upset with her." Jiwan said looking at Nabi as Nabi noticed her expression

 

Sol likes you, but you don't see it or could it be, she knows..?

 

"Did you know? I started art because of Sol."

"Really? I didn't know"

"Mm. Sol wanted to major in art when she wanted to go to college. I tried my best to follow her. I thought if I could at least be able to catch up with her if I did my best. But there are things that I can and can't do, I can barely get my assignments done on time." Jiwan said as she sighs

"But I don't know if I'll be able to graduate with her." Jiwan added

 

I don't think I have the right to say it to her. I'll let Sol tell her.

 

"I'm so jealous of Sol. She has that kind of presence that came naturally to her."

"Yea. Me too." Nabi agreed

 

She likes Sol, but not in the same way.. yet?

 

"Some people are gifted like that." She said as Jiwan smiles and look at Nabi

"Let's go to the flea market."

"Should we?" Nabi asked as she smiled back while Jiwan nods

 

It must be hurting Sol, hasn't it?

 

They both walked down the stairs as they walked to the flea market. They reached the festival as they saw many departments with different events on different stands.

 

"That one looks good." Jiwan said as Nabi nods and continues walking

"Oh, it's Jiwan. Over here!" A voice said as Jiwan looked where the voice came from and saw her friends from high school waving at her

"Oh hey! You guys got some seats, and pretty good seats too." Jiwan said as she waved at them

"Do you want to join us? I'll introduce you to my friends." Jiwan said as she tug Nabi arm to get her attention

"Oh.. it's okay. I was gonna meet up with Bit Na later. Next time." Nabi said as Jiwan nods

"Call me if you get bored." Jiwan said as Nabi nods

"Nice to meet you all and have fun." Nabi said as she waved at them goodbye and left

 

As Nabi leaves, Jiwan and her friends squeal as they haven't seen each other for a while.

 

"When did you guys get here?" Jiwan asked

"Not too long ago. We saw these seats empty and asked around if it was taken, but no one claimed it, so we took it."

"You guys should've called me when you guys got here."

"Ahh.. we just forgot. And didn't have time since we are pretty occupied by the cute guys around us." Her friend said as Jiwan shook her head.

"Of course you would say that."

"Hey, come sit down Jiwan."

"How are you guys?" Jiwan asked

"We're doing good. Just busy with a lot of homework, but we still see each other from time to time." The girl in front of her said

"Yah.. are you still going out with that guy you went on the blind date with?"

"Oh? Yea. But recently he's been messaging me about films he wants to see, but our film tastes are a bit... different." Jiwan said as they went 'oooo'

"Then you don't like him, but still going out?" Another asked

"No. I cut ties with him." Jiwan said as they nod while one of the sighs

"Popular Jiwan becomes a picky Jiwan." The black shirt girl said as they laugh

"Yah. I'm not picky.. I just have high standards."

"Haha okay." Her friend said as they turned their heads to the event next to them.

"Alright, Let's spin the wheel!"

"Spinning the wheel!"

"Looks fun."

"Let's go over there next."

"Do you think it's only for couples?"

"I don't think so.

"By the way, that guy over there has a crush on Sol right?" the girl that sat beside Jiwan asked as she looked at him, then back at her and scoffed

"How would I know? She can date whatever she wants." Jiwan said poking her food

"I'm pretty sure he does. I told him we were friends of Sol's and he said that he'll be getting us a lot of food." She said as they all 'ooo'-ed but Jiwan.

"But he's not close to Sol yet." Jiwan said

"I know I told Sol this, but don't you two ever get sick of each other? You guys are like magnets that will never be apart from each other."

 

True.. but now...

 

"Well, recently we haven't hung out as often as we did before." Jiwan said as they nodded

"Well, of course. Now that you are dating. You haven't been able to see her."

"But you know, I feel bad for him. Sol will leave to go to the states and she'll be hanging out with the hot Americans." her friend said

"Wasn't she going to England or something? It seems like it would be around Europe."

"You guys know about this too?" Jiwan asked as they nod

"She told us during the gathering."Jiwan said as she pouted

"She never told you?" Jiwan shook her head

"Weird. I thought she would be the first to tell you." her friend said as they turned their heads as they saw Sol

"Oh it's Sol!"

"Over here!" They shouted as Jiwan turned her head as she saw Sol smiled, but stopped smiling as she saw the same guy from before.

"Isn't he the guy from the cafe when we had the last gathering?" one of them asked as they 'ooo' while Jiwan felt an uncomfortable feeling in her chest.

"I think so."

"Oh? Oh! That's right."

"Wow. They look so good together right now."

Sol and the guy walked towards them as they stand in front to them

"Hello. My name is Jung Ju hyeok. It's nice to meet you guys. Sol told me about you guys." he said as her friends greeted back

"Oooh, Sol, is he your boyfriend?"

"No. He's not." Sol said

 

That's right. They are not dating.

 

"Did you guys get together after the incident at the cafe?"

"How long have you guys been seeing each other?" another one asked as they all squealed but Jiwan.

"It's nothing like that. I just had a business to attend nearby and I asked her to show me around the school for a bit." He said as they squeal

"Couple game! Couple game! Couple game!" They chanted as two of their friend stood up as they pushed Ju Hyeok and Sol to the game next to them as Jiwan watches

 

Why are they doing this? Forcing Sol to like him..

 

"Oh it's sol!"

"Hey Sol, are you-" Bit Na stopped as she saw her being pushed as well as a guy

"Are you a couple now?" Bit Na asked as Sol shook her head

"That's not it."

"Oh? You're here to play the couple's game?" Bit Na askled

"Aren't they cute together?" Jiwan looked at her friend that didn't go with them

"Move over there.. Move." Jiwan said pushing her friend to sit on the other side as she moved towards the seat closer to hear

"You just have to throw the dart onto the board and see what event you have to do." Bit Na said handing the dart to them

"You want to throw?" Sol asked as he shook his head

"I'm not good at these types of games. You can do it." he said as she nods while Bit Na leans over to Se Hun

"It's over. He looks better than you and seems to treat her well." Bit Na mutters to Se Hun as he pouts

"Anyways, Se Hun, go and spin the wheel." Bit Na said as he walked to the side of the wheel and said

"I'll be spinning the wheel now."

"Spin the wheel! Spin the wheel! Spin the wheel! Spin the wheel! Spin the wheel! Spin the wheel!" Bit Na said as the wheel spin

"Alright, go ahead and throw the dart to see where you land." Bit Na said as Sol throws the dart and Se hun stopped the wheel

"And it's... pop the balloon. Alright. Come forward here and face each other." Bit Na said as Se Hun hands over the balloon.

"I can't believe Sol's hanging out with a guy. He's so handsome, isn't he?" Jiwan's friend asked as Jiwan looked at her

 

Why don't you date him then?

 

Then looked at them.

"I'll be placing the balloon in between you guys and all you have to do is to pop the balloon with your bodies within 5 secs. If you succeed, then you'll win a prize." Bit Na added as they had their arms wrapped around each other

"Ready and go 5, 4, 3, 2--"

"Ahhh! Nice! Good job! Time to pick your prize!" Bit Na said as they high five each other

Bit Na showed them the prizes as they went to pick one.

 

"There's a prize?" Sol asked as they walked towards the prizes

 

Why did she bring him with her? Wasn't she supposed to hang out with us? Did she forget?

 

"Did Sol tell you anything about them?"

"Oh? No. She said that they aren't dating" Jiwan look at her friend

"It doesn't seem like it. But to me. When I see a guy like him all over a girl like Sol, I see love in his eyes towards Sol. it's all written over his face." She said as Jiwan looks at them

"Why else would he come here? There's nothing for him to see except Sol." She said

"Yah.. He is only here to look around." Jiwan said as her friend sighs

"Sol's so lucky. She got a handsome guy drooling all over her. It's like they're telling us that they aren't but they are dating secretly."

"But Sol said that they arent dating." Jiwan stopped talking as she said them coming towards the tables

 

Sol set a stuffed bear on the table in front of Jiwan as Jiwan looked at her while her other friends sat down.

 

"Why are you giving me this?" Jiwan said coldly

"It's your favorite character. You like him, remember?" Sol said as Jiwan rolled her eyes

"I don't like him anymore." Jiwan said pushing the stuff away from her

Why is she being cold to me? She's never like this?

 

"What's the matter with you? Did something happen?" Sol asked tilting her head slightly to the right and looked at Jiwan

 

She's asking that now when she knows?

 

"Whats wrong? Whats wrong with me? Why did you have to bring a guy here with you when you have us friends here to have fun?" Jiwan asked as Sol was taken back

"Oh.. well... I..."

 

Why did he come here again? because of me? or the school?

 

Sol looked at him, the others and then at Jiwan

"Sorry. I didn't think it would make you uncomfortable." Sol said as Jiwan shook her head

"Well, if I knew, I would've brought a guy too and played a couple games with him too. Do you enjoy playing the couples games with him?" Jiwan asked as Sol felt a pain in her heart as she went speechless.

 

Why is she getting mad? Is she jealous of Ju Hyeok?

 

Jiwan sighs as she stood up

 

I thought she hated guys. That's why I didn't set her up with any.

 

"I'm going for a smoke." She said as she walked away but Sol caught her wrist to look at her.

 

Jiwan looked at her with cold and glaring eyes as she slipped her hand away from the grip and walked away.

"Whats wrong?"

"Yah, Jiwan." Her friend called for her, following her as Sol watches her

"Maybe I shouldn't have come here." Ju Hyeok said as Sol looks at him

"Oh.. it's okay.. I think something happened today or maybe--" Sol said as he shook his head

"Maybe it's best if I leave and you guys make up." He said as Sol nods

"Y-Yea.. Maybe."

 

What's wrong with Jiwan?

 

"I'll go take my leave first." He said as her friends were sad

"I'll contact you next time." He said as Sol nods

"It's nice seeing you guys. Good bye." He said as he waved while they waved back.

 

He left as Sol looked where Jiwan walked, but couldn't see her.

 

"What happened to Jiwan?" Sol asked their friends as she sat down

"Oh? Well, we were talking about how the festival was busy and then we talked about the guy over there in the couple game, liking you. And then you going to overseas for a better college/university and now him."

 

She knows about my exchange program

 

"She was fine and happy, until Ju Hyeok came. I wonder why her expression changed." Her friend said as they are confused

 

Is it weird to say that I have a feeling, a slight feeling, maybe a little that she likes me? or maybe  not.

 

"That's right. I wonder if she's looking out for you or something else." her other friend said as Sol looks at them

 

But why would she be mad at me for bringing Ju Hyeok? Shouldn't she be happy for me if I actually dated him?

Jiwan screamed as she let out her frustration. She huffed and puffed as she was losing her breath.

"And you want them to kiss in front of you guys like some kind of drama just appeared in front of you?" Jiwan asked as her friend was taken back

"Do you have something against Sol? Did something happen between you two?" Her friend asked as Jiwan looked away.

"Whatever. I don't want to talk about this anymore. It hurts." Jiwan said as her friend was confused

Jiwan walked in the sculpture's office as she saw Gyeon Jun and Eu Ddeum eating.
