A/n: I am so excited to see so many of you enjoying this story, it’s a lot of fun to write and it makes me happy that so far it’s being received well. So last time Seulgi met another “Joohyun” and it seems like her gf has tons of explaining to do, so yeah… let’s see her explain lol. Thank you of course for the reviews. I certainly appreciate them. Please enjoy chapter 2 

“I told you to let me do the talking!” Joohyun shook her head in disbelief and wanted to scream. This was absolutely the worst thing that could happen right now, and poor Seulgi. Her girlfriend is just standing there in shock. Not that Joohyun could blame her. Joohyun knows she would be freaking out if she saw two Seulgi’s standing in their bedroom too all of a sudden. But she can explain it all she needs is the chance, and hopefully she doesn’t send Seulgi running out the door.

“It’s rude to not say hello.” The other Joohyun? At least that was how Seulgi currently took to describing the situation before her. Since, there truly was no other way to describe what she was looking at. She might have had a glass of wine and everything but she certainly wasn’t drunk? There were indeed two Joohyun’s standing in the bedroom right this moment. Though, at least the other “Joohyun” had purple eyes and seemed different in some way. 

“Yeah, but now look at her. She’s freaked out, with good reason.” 

“I uh…” Seulgi finds her voice. “I am standing right here.”

“Uh-huh…” The purple-eyed woman nods. “That you are, and now before Joohyun so rudely interrupted. Allow me to introduce…”

“Be quiet.” Joohyun places her hand over her double’s mouth. “Will you please let me talk to Seulgi first? She is my girlfriend and she should hear this from me.”

“Why? You never told her before?” She glares silently and Joohyun frowns back in such a way that makes Seulgi chuckle nervously. This is already turning out to be quite the night, and the monolid woman has a feeling it’s long from over. Should she be sitting down? Something tells Seulgi she probably should. Preferably at a safe distance in case Joohyun and her double end up in a shouting match of some kind. Reluctantly, the double nods and sits down on the bed with a cheerful smile on her face.

“Fine, I guess there’s time for us to be introduced after Joohyun explains it to you, Seulgi.”

And though it should bother Seulgi that this woman seems so comfortable knowing her name, it kind of doesn’t? Mostly because this woman does have Joohyun’s face and is clearly on friendly-ish terms with Joohyun. Seulgi can only nod and wait for an explanation from Joohyun, whatever that’s going to end up being. Joohyun grabs her by the hand and pulls her toward the windows.

“Okay, so…” Joohyun smiles nervously. She looks uneasy in a way that Seulgi doesn’t think she has seen in a long time, which worries Seulgi in return. The monolid woman’s first instinct is to comfort Joohyun. She forgets about her own concerns for the moment. Because anytime Joohyun is worried she is naturally worried too.

“Hyun, talk to me. What’s wrong?”
 

“There’s no easy way to say this. So the best way is often to just flat out…” She pauses because there is suddenly the sound of gum-chewing, rather loudly. To which both she and Seulgi look to see their new guest is the cause. 

“Um…”

“Hey!” Joohyun shouts. “Just where did you get gum?”

Her double shrugs. “Conjured it.”

“Conjured?” Seulgi whispered, confused. What in the hell was going on?

“Well unconjure it please, don’t you see I’m talking over here?”

“You’re not fun, Hyun?” There is this cute pout that startles Seulgi badly because it really is like looking at Joohyun, only it’s not since she knows it’s not her girlfriend that’s sitting on their bed at the moment. 

“Anyway, baby.” She takes a breath and turns back to Seulgi. Joohyun feels like this is essentially like ripping off a band-aid. Best to do so fast. “You know the saying how we all have those inner demons we deal with?”

“Well sure…” Seulgi chuckles nervously. “I mean, who doesn’t have inner demons from time to time…” Her eyes look over to the purple-eyed woman who is still smiling just as cheerful as ever. But this time she's waiting to make some huge grand announcement of some kind.

“R-Right.” Joohyun smiles just as nervous as Seulgi chuckles. “So that’s Irene and she’s…”

“I’m Irene and I’m her demon.” She smiles again to the point where Seulgi sees pearly white fangs, how the hell did she miss them? Seulgi is not sure. Perhaps with all the weirdness going on and the fact that this is totally insane. 

“I’m sorry, what? Did you just say that you’re my girlfriend’s demon?”

“Yup!” Irene nods several times. “That’s what we said. Hey, Hyun.” Irene moves quickly to stand beside Joohyun. “She’s cute, but she’s kind of slow, no?” That part she whispers to Joohyun so only the human hears. Joohyun can only glare at Irene because even if she is technically a part of her. There will be no slander of her girlfriend, not in her own house. 

“O-Okay, just wanted to be sure that’s what I heard. Am I drunk?” That’s what she whispers to herself and at that both Joohyun and Irene laugh.

“No, silly.” Irene grabs one of her hands, then helps her sit down on the bed. “You didn’t have that much wine.”

“How’d you know that?”

“Because…” She suddenly gets close to Seulgi's face with intensely bright purple eyes.

“Umm, Hyun. What is your demon doing?”

“Irene, stop it. You’re going to freak her out.”

“I will not.” Irene shakes her head in the negative. “I am just letting her know that I know she’s not drunk. Because I see and hear everything.”

“Right….” Seulgi whispers, “because that wasn’t even creepy at all.” Said no one ever. Well, at least Seulgi has a name for this uh, demon? Rather than referring to her as the second Joohyun. So the demon likes to be called Irene? That’s interesting to say the least. But Seulgi has that question answered. There’s only so many more questions that need answers too. Starting with the biggest one.

“Okay, though this could possibly be a dream, maybe?”

“Nope, not a dream, sorry, Seulgi.” Irene hated to burst any bubbles, though she absolutely would. 

“Trust me, I wish this was a dream.” Joohyun sighs before running her fingers through brown locks. This would be so much easier if it was a dream. Unfortunately, it’s very much the current reality.

“How are you here, Irene?”

With that question asked it’s kind of what both herself and Joohyun wondered. It had all happened so fast. They were communicating like they always did, internally. This was highly unusual and Joohyun certainly was scared too when she saw Irene standing in the real world with her. Sure there were times they met in whatever dream world Joohyun could escape to and converse with Irene. But not once in all of her life had Irene ever manifested into a physical shape. So if Seulgi wanted answers to why Irene was here. They were afraid they had none.

“Well…” Irene looks suddenly thoughtful.

“Truthfully, Seul, we have no idea.” Joohyun admits.

“Yeah, we were yelling at each other like always. Internally of course, you know.”

“Oh, of course.” Seulgi nods and turns to Joohyun with raised eyebrows and her girlfriend smiles with an expression that reads she will explain later. 

“I don’t know what happened, or what made tonight so different. The next thing I remembered I’m standing in front of Joohyun. It’s scary for me too, you know.” Irene looks over to Joohyun as if reading her exact thoughts in the moment. Seulgi assumes she probably can.

“I know, Irene. Maybe this is temporary? Either way it’s not like it’s your fault. It’s getting late so maybe we can try and figure things out tomorrow?”

“Okay, but can I…”
