It’s 1950. Five whole years since the second world war had ended, many things have happened in Korea, many things have changed and even more changes are about to come. Korea got divided after the Soviet Union and the United States got in agreement to do it for administrative purposes. After some time, Soviet Union’s motives were revealed that they were not the same as the US’s. The two sides could not agree on a mutual formula that would lead to a united country. South Korea was officially declared independent in early 1948. In the meantime the fighting continued between the two military forces. That’s how Korean war started. In 1950 the army of North Korea overran South Korea. Young people from all over South Korea were recruited to go fight to the war to help their country. That includes Nam Woohyun, a young 19 year old guy from the big city and the 22 years of age, Kim Sunggyu from Jeonju.
