Foreword

April 2002. 10: 30 PM.

In the busy road of Seoul, a delivery truck was noticeably detouring and counterflowing in constant. Making everyone puzzled.

A man in black, his hand covered with gloves is firmly holding on the streering wheel with his right foot pressed on the accelerator.

He glared on his left side mirror, a red car was behind him, he slowed down to let a space for it to drift, the car is now in front.

'Bingo' - he hushed and smiled.

He maneuvered rapidly to turn over a different route on the left. Speeding in 90's, the man planned to meet them in opposite direction by driving in circle. The gas indicator is swaying to the right slowly as he drove.. increasing his speed.

In the red car is a family heading home after dinner as they celebrated the elder sister's graduation and the father's birthday.

The inside was filled with joy, cheerful singing, all are clapping together.

'Did you guys enjoyed the food?!'

'Yes daddy!' - echoed from 2 lovely voices.

'My tummy is a watermelon daddy look!' - said by the small girl. Drawing green waves on her skin.

Her mom was smiling looking at them.

'You look like a tadpole!'

'A cute tadpole!'

They all bursted in laughter.

The elder sister thought about not being able to see her favorite classmates, friends and teachers. At a young age, she's been praised with her beauty making her popular in school. As usual, graduation will not be memorable without giving. Her best friends and teachers gave her gifts. Her boy best friend gave her a small stuff toy keychain as a remembrance. A dog, she named it 'Koko'. Attached to her small pink backpack's zipper pull.

Staring sadly on her gifts, her thought says she won't be able to see them anymore.

'Ugh. Oppa, Omma, I'm gonna miss them..'

'Honey that's fine, you can still make new friends' coming from the mom.

Unnie showed a pout. frowned face.

'Song lyric of the kiddie song!'

Their dad broke the silence by singing the chorus part of the kiddie song they loved. Immediately, the mood was back to it.

Cold wind is getting humid as they speed up in the expressway, wiper waving back and forth on the windshield cleaning the blurry moist.

The little girl is cheerfully singing with them while staring at the window. Tiny droplets of rain are starting to fall..

While jamming together, a flash of light suddenly covered their sight. It was the front light of the delivery truck. The bumper of the car smashed on the right side of the truck. Both vehicles are running in hundreds causing a strong collision. The family car rolled over upside down..

Everything happened in slowmotion in the small girl's memory as she felt unconscious.

Beep sound was echoing the place while the rain is falling harder.

The truck driver checked if they are still alive. He saw them eyes closed covered with blood.

'Mission success' he shook off his palms thinking he just did an awesome job.

The beeping sound turned in to a white noise until the little girl cried outloud surprising the killer.

'Omma, oppa, unnie.'

She was trying her best to crawl and get herself out of the car with that tiny body. Her elder sister suddenly woke up and called her name. 'Are you okay?' -- her unnie said while her blood is flowing on her face. She was hanging upside down from her seat. She reached for the seatbelt lock to free herself.

They saw the man standing before them. The girls were terrified, 'Please don't do this.' they're both soaking wet and crying.

The man grabbed the girls and brought them inside the truck. Their mouth was covered with masking tape, hands tangled with rope. He touched the face of the little girl and made a grin. 'No no no, don't cry. We're gonna play' - he said and went back to driving.

It was dark as a shut eye inside the truck. They can feel the vehicle was running until it stopped..
