The large hotel room felt empty. The curtains hid an exhausted Jiaqi who passed out on Xueer's side of the bed, still dressed in her dance clothes. The warm shadows of the sunset surrounded the small hotel room except for the little light coming from Jiaqi's phone. 

Buzz, Buzz, Buzz. 

Jiaqi scrunched her nose at the interruption. She glanced at the message before nuzzling further into her girlfriend’s pillow and smiling at the lingering scent of Xueer’s perfume.

7Sense CEO was arrested on account of both embezzlement and mismanagement of artists. 

The TV's captions seemed to scream at Xueer in the back of the dark taxi as it drove to her hotel room. Xueer held her breath as her phone buzzed, meekly reminding her that Jisoo had texted her hours ago.

It’s taken 2 weeks for them to give us results. Whatever the results may be today, Jiaqi is going to need you.

Smiling to herself, Jiaqi felt like the pressure and stress from the trial suddenly rolled off her shoulders. Letting out a sigh, Jiaqi’s eyes caught the light that was dancing on the surface of the hot tub outside her window. 

Deciding it was high time she treated herself, Jiaqi busied herself with calling room service. The mirage of the pool’s purple underwater lights became more alluring as time went by.

Sending Jisoo a quick response, Xueer quickly tipped the taxi driver before rushing out of the dark car as the shadows began to kiss the ground. Xueer attempted to adjust her oversized hoodie so the neck wasn’t so snug as she fumbled with messages blowing up her phone. 

Letting out a tired huff, Xueer couldn’t wait to curl up with her lover and congratulate her on winning the trial. Glancing down at her many messages, the one from Rosé caught her attention. 

Jisoo told me about the results! I figured you and Jiaqi would want some time to celebrate, so Jisoo and I were able to pull strings. You have two free days before we need you back for your rehearsal. Enjoy them! 

Xueer really couldn’t have asked for a better manager than Rosé.

Jiaqi watched the pool create illusions as the lights reflected into multiple little shapes; she barely registered the soft music coming from the outside speakers. 

Finally getting into the hot tub, Jiaqi couldn’t help but let a satisfied hum escape , while she slowly sank into the tub as the warmth wrapped around her like a warm hug.

Xueer drops her bag, letting it softly blop beside the front door, hoping to find Jiaqi and spend the night cuddling. 

“Jiaqi?” Nothing. Glancing around, Xueer did her best to locate her 9-tailed fox of a girlfriend. Stepping further into the room, the soft sound of a bass line could be heard. A warm breeze from the outside parted the curtains from the patio. Xueer couldn’t help but steal a glance, and once she did, the hotel room suddenly became too hot. 

Xueer’s mouth went dry, her heart was loudly tumping in her ears, and she swore that Jiaqi was spilling champagne on herself on purpose.

Jiaqi was relaxing, enjoying the warm water, and couldn’t help but sway in the water to the rhythm of the song. 

The feeling of someone watching her caused her to pause briefly. In the hotel room, behind the sheer curtains, stood her girlfriend. Jiaqi’s pupils dilated at the sight of Xueer, standing in the window, face ablaze with a deer in the headlights expression. Enjoying the effect she had, Jiaqi dangerously leaned forward and beckoned Xueer to join her. Smirking at the sight of Xueer gulping and quickly scampering off to change.
