part one: glimmers in your eyes

i see the universe in your eyes

ONE

The sun slowly made its way to the horizon, slowly rising up and lighting up certain places once again, to indicate that the day is already starting. Orange hues painted the peaceful neighborhood as the birds chirp gleefully, flying around gently with no destination with their fellows.

Light slowly illuminated a certain room, still dim because of the curtains blocking the sunlight from coming in but little still passed through. Sunlight softly hit a sleeping woman with black bob hair, gently burning her skin, waking her up from her deep slumber.

Slowly, the said woman rose up from the bed, stretching her limbs with a satisfied sigh escaping from her thin lips before fluttering her eyes open, sharply scanning the unfamiliar view of the room.

It’s still dark, the source of the bare light coming from the covered window is enough though. She could clearly see the room and roamed her eyes around, silently observing and trying to familiarize herself. The room isn’t messy, it’s neat, clean, and there are only a few things displayed around, it also smells mint.

This person is definitely a minimalist.

Mentioning that, she slowly raised up her arms, also checking it. Slender fingers, slim pale arms— a girl. This time, she’s in the body of a girl, and she would like to thank god for that. She wouldn’t suffer seeing some stuff she doesn’t want to see and less hassle since she’s much more comfortable moving around with a girl’s body rather than boy’s.

Maybe, that’s because she was a girl, her body was a young teenage girl’s.

But before she could drown herself in her thoughts, a knock interrupted her, followed by a muffled shout from the other side that made her snap back in reality again— she still has some things to do, like trying to observe and learn how this girl lives her daily life and wait until her history slowly fill up her mind, not space out and think of the past.

“Chaewon! It’s already six! Wake up,”

She snorted, lowering down her gaze and saw a phone beside her hand then immediately picked it up. When she turned it on, a picture of a beautiful lady popped out and she might as well assume that this might be her. So to check her hunch, she opened the camera app and there, it showed the face of the owner of the body she’s currently inhabiting right now.

Pretty doe eyes, black bob hair and a little bit disheveled, pair of thin lips, and a cute button nose.

“Hello, Chaewon,” She said exactly to herself, to the real owner of this body.

“I'm Yujin. Sorry, but I'll live into your body for a day. Don't worry, I won't do anything bad or something that will harm you.”

With a sigh, she exited the camera and saw a lot of notifications coming from one person, and this person bombed her with texts last night but she just ignored it, and decided to check it out later after she finally get the grasp of this person— she still can’t even move her fingers naturally to type the password of the phone because her mind is still in the gutter. By just seeing how this person texted her, they might be important to her life.

But before she could even turn off the phone— “Set an alarm at eleven pm, and also set another alarm at eleven fifty.” And with that, there goes another day in another person’s body, and life.

“You kept texting her last night, but didn’t even reply once?” Hyewon asked, snorting as her eyes still remained focused on the road, her hand on the wheel while the other was holding the piece of half eaten toast.

Minjoo tensed, nibbling on her lower lip before letting out a frustrated sigh, and checked her phone frantically when it vibrated, indicating that someone must have probably messaged her. Someone did, but it’s Wonyoung, and not her girlfriend at all which made her deflate. Her sister noticed it and gave her a brief glance, and another snort.

“I’ve never met Chaewon properly but after knowing some stuff about her so far, she , Min,” Hyewon honestly spilled which made the younger woman gasp, glaring at her, feeling offended for her girlfriend. “Hye, that’s just plain rude. You still haven’t met her so you don’t have a say.” She retorted back, playing with her fingers— but deep inside her, her sister was right all along— that Chaewon isn’t really a good and responsible girlfriend to her.

“Look, Min. I’ve experienced a lot of these before so I know. This so-called girlfriend of yours,” The older woman paused, snickering. “Is really not doing well so far, and you guys are what? Been in a relationship for six months now or so. She can’t even go to our house, nor can’t even introduce herself to me even though she’s aware of my existence.” She remarked, rolling her eyes.

Minjoo let out an upset huff, turning away from her older sister and just fumbled on her phone, her heart ached a bit when Hyewon almost hit too close to home. “She’s just shy and unprepared. Not ready, and I understand that, Hye.” She defended her girlfriend, and she can’t believe that she had a hard time saying that. There was a lump on and this uncomfortable heavy feel on her chest was killing her, it was like defending someone who’s guilty of what they did but still protected them.

Rolling her eyes once again, Hyewon scoffed, shrugging. “Whatever,” She muttered. “I was just concerned because she’s your first girlfriend and I don’t want to see you getting hurt, but you have bad luck, it may seem, sis.” She added with a sigh, smiling to herself after butting that in to younger sister along.

Minjoo turned to her way, poking her tongue out. “You’re so annoying, just drive.” She said, and giggled a bit when she saw Hyewon making faces.

“To be honest,” Wonyoung started off, walking beside Minjoo towards a vacant table in the cafeteria. “Hyewon is right.” She continued as they settled on the table, placing their trays full of food there and sat on the chair across each other. Minjoo pouted, giving her friend a look of betrayal, why did she even make an effort to tell Wonyoung about her and Hyewon’s conversation earlier about Chaewon when she literally knew that Wonyoung isn’t really fond of her girlfriend either.

“Chaewon is not really bad,” Minjoo quietly fired back as she started to eat her breakfast. Wonyoung scoffed, almost laughing like Minjoo made a very funny joke. “And I can fly, try again, Kim.” She remarked before taking a bite on her sandwich.

Shaking her head, Minjoo just ate her food quietly as Wonyoung started to blabber about her crush from the Department of Science and Technology. She tried her best to listen intently but she couldn’t help but to think about her girlfriend, Chaewon. The latter hasn’t even replied to her yet which made her think, was she being too clingy? She didn’t even greet her ‘good morning’ in fear of Chaewon thinking that she’s being overly affectionate, given the fact that her girlfriend doesn’t really like her getting clingy around. Chaewon isn’t really affectionate, nor she likes receiving too much sweet affection, even if it’s from her own girlfriend— Minjoo understood that, she’s not that type of person either but…

She just wanted reassurance. A simple greeting, a simple reply from her that she rarely gets. If Chaewon would reply to her messages, Minjoo would be the happiest. Power of love, she guesses. But is it really love? For Minjoo’s side, it is, she’s absolutely smitten. And Chaewon’s side? Minjoo shouldn’t have doubts but as days pass, her hope would slowly falter down as her girlfriend won’t even give her the right reassurance that she still loves her as much as Minjoo loves her.

Minjoo absolutely trusts Chaewon. But she can’t just help but to think, especially that people around them would always comment about their ‘one-sided’ relationship. Minjoo promised to never get her heart moved by those ty comments, about her hard carrying their relationship and Chaewon not giving a about her but the walls she built around her heart are starting to get destroyed gradually, and it didn’t help that her girlfriend just brushes those topics off.

Eh, why is she even worrying about that? Like she said, she trusts Chaewon and her words.

She was about to take a bite when she saw a familiar figure standing in the middle of the cafeteria while holding her tray, and surprisingly, looking like a lost puppy. Her heart instantly leaped out from her chest, a smile curved up into her lips— the effects whenever she saw a glimpse of the love of her life.

“And you know, I learned that Nako knows how to skate and I’m absolutely in love—”

“Wonyo, I’ll be back, I see Chaewon.” Minjoo cut her off, eyes still glued to her girlfriend and immediately stood up, brisk walking towards Chaewon before Wonyoung could even say or do anything.

Her smile just got wider and wider each step she took closer to Chaewon and eventually, she halted in front of her, still smiling ear to ear as she stared at her. And finally, their eyes met and Minjoo froze. There’s something odd about Chaewon’s eyes today, it’s glimmering, sparkling in curiosity yet with a bit of wariness that Minjoo could not point out.

“Minjoo,” Chaewon whispered her name, eyes still fixed on her, and Minjoo’s heart jumped upon hearing that lovely voice she badly wanted to hear since yesterday. “Chaewon.” She greeted back with a smile.

“Hey, I-I’m really sorry for bombing texts to you last night, I was just a little bit worried, y’know? You won’t reply to me so I kind of sent more than I should. I must’ve pissed you off—” Minjoo couldn’t even stop herself from rambling that Chaewon had to hush and cut her off gently, so gently that the raven haired woman shot her brow out of confusion.

“No, no,” Her girlfriend hushed her off with a smile, an apologetic smile, that is. “It’s alright, it’s my fault. I fell asleep early yesterday because of practice, sorry.” She added. Minjoo blinked, the odd tone that Chaewon used didn’t go unnoticed, and the way she gazes at her, and she apologized.

She never apologizes to Minjoo about stuff like that, never, she also never uses a very gentle tone like that to her. It’s like Chaewon transformed into a completely different person today, and her aura screams gentleness and softness, contrary to her usual vibes. There’s something off about her today and Minjoo likes it.

“No, don’t apologize, Chae.” Minjoo waved it off, shyly smiling at her girlfriend. Chaewon just scratched her nape, also looking a little bit awkward and shy. “Anyway, do you have anything good to do today?” Minjoo suddenly asked to ease the soft awkward tension lingering around them.

Chaewon hummed, breaking their eye contact to look upwards, thinking. “Nope, aside from classes, nothing. No tests, no assignments, nothing.” She answered after recalling her schedules with a small smile. Minjoo her lower lip, hiding her hands behind her back as she shifted around. “I just want to ask, do you wanna hang?” She awkwardly asked, she already should have gotten used to asking Chaewon out naturally because they are girlfriends but until now, she couldn’t get a grasp of it since Chaewon is very distant.

“Oh,” The shorter woman exclaimed, blinking. “Like… after class or something?” She asked timidly.

Minjoo smiled brightly, a random yet wonderful idea popping out in her mind. “Well,” She started off. “How about… now? I mean, let’s ditch,” She suggested with a little bit of hesitation. It’s normal for students to ditch their classes for a once in a blue moon date, right? Completely normal, even if it’s not, Minjoo thinks that it’ll be worth it anyway and she wouldn’t miss out the chance to spend time with her girlfriend.

Chaewon let out an amused laugh which caught Minjoo off guard, heart acting up a bit and cheeks warming. “I would love to spend the day with you, Minjoo.” She answered, and much to her shock, without any slightest hesitation. The raven haired was in awe for a bit before breaking out into a shy grin, nodding happily, very ecstatic. “Well then, I’ll just get my bag and I’ll tell Wonyoung about our little plan of escaping the school premises,” She said with a low voice before dashing towards their table with Chaewon following her.

Wonyoung didn’t even get to speak when Minjoo dashed off with Chaewon out of the cafeteria after hurriedly saying that she had to go then grabbed her bag and with the bob haired woman placing the tray on the table, just watching the couple run with wide eyes.

The both of them happily sneaked into the hallway, but before they could reach the exit, a group of teachers appeared and walked by. Chaewon immediately pulled Minjoo out of the teachers’ sights and trouble with a silent laugh. “Watch out,” She softly warned as she pulled her to the nearest wall, hiding there while Minjoo just giggled.

They then exited the place while giggling and smiling, running towards Chaewon’s car, hand in hand. Minjoo couldn’t help but to glance at their intertwined hands as they ran to the parking lot. Chaewon rarely holds her hand, and— another reason why to be happy today.

Minjoo is so happy, beyond happy today.

She saw Chaewon's side that she never knew existed within her and Minjoo just wished that her girlfriend would show that side of her so often around her because she loves it so much.

Minjoo never felt so much happiness like this around Chaewon before. Her girlfriend is so gentle, careful, sweet, and loving to her today, which rarely happens. And she couldn't help but to fall in love with this hidden side of hers.

Chaewon would hold her hand, and would even press a kiss on her knuckles when they were walking around the bay. The hold is so tight, like Chaewon didn't want to let her go and it made Minjoo's heart burst rainbows. The latter would stare at their clasped hands, and she noticed that their hands perfectly fit with one another, although— her hand is engulfing Chaewon's slender and smaller hand, it's so warm and so perfect.

And the smile Chaewon would throw to her randomly, it's so odd yet dashing. Her girlfriend rarely smiles, always either frowning or having this signature poker face so seeing her laughing and smiling around her many times makes Minjoo tremble in glee. Heck, Chaewon never plays nor likes Minjoo's type of songs but surprisingly, on the way here— she played one of Minjoo's favorite songs and even sang along with her, happily. And Minjoo was so sure Chaewon didn't know that song existed at all since those songs aren't her type at all but she knew about it, and she has the lyrics memorized.

Oh, how she wishes for this day to never end. She just wants to be selfish and wishes for Chaewon to stay like this forever— it gives Minjoo reassurance, a glint of hope, that maybe— Chaewon loves her as much as she does, that she's ready to change, and realized that she needs to do better for Minjoo and now finally taking a step today to achieve that goal. This unusual Chaewon made her the happiest.

“What's in your mind?” Chaewon's sweet honey and angel-like voice entered her ears, making her snap back in reality and turned her head to look at her girlfriend who had this small smile plastered on her lips. “I would love to listen,” She added sweetly yet not pushy.

“Oh,” The taller exclaimed, her ice cream before continuing. “Nothing in particular.” Chaewon hummed. “If you say so.” She answered softly as she took a bite on her waffle cone. “Anyway, want to buy those special cookies?”

Minjoo turned to the direction where Chaewon was pointing at and smiled, nodding. “They look delicious, let's buy some.” She replied and Chaewon grinned at her before pulling her at the stall.

“Oh, it has a very nice packaging,” Minjoo suddenly commented after they took the cookies when they paid for it and went on their way, scanning the box. Chaewon nodded in agreement, picking a cookie and looked at the wrapper. “There's a… cheesy quote at the back. Some quotes you could say to your lover, that is.” She muttered as she took the cookie out of the wrapper, taking a bite on it then said the quote out loud.

“You have a very beautiful smile,” Chaewon said, before turning to Minjoo with a bright smile then intertwined their hands once again. “True. You do have a pretty smile. A very, very beautiful smile, actually.” She complimented smoothly and it caught the taller off guard, coughing as redness crept up all over her face and couldn't suppress a smile.

“See, that's what I'm talking about. Smile wider,” The older yet shorter said with a grin. Minjoo snorted, feeling warm but it made her grin nonetheless. “Exquisite, I might say.” Chaewon added, and a little bit in awe, eyes sparkling in admiration.

Minjoo is not used to it. Sure, Chaewon compliments her and it would make her heart flutter but these compliments she's getting today are too smooth and sweet for Minjoo's own liking and it's making her heart swell and extremely giddy. And the way Chaewon talks too, it's so different and her cheeks would instantly warm up whenever her girlfriend would spout sweet words. After all, Chaewon is no smooth talker, she never talks so sweetly like this but today, she sounds so natural. Heh, since when did she learn how to use words like ‘exquisite’ and other more to compliment Minjoo, but she's not complaining.

They sat on the bench after walking around for a long time, just silent and looking at the beautiful view of the sea in front of them. Their hands remained intertwined with one another, and Minjoo even shivered because she could feel Chaewon's thumb caressing her skin.

Minjoo wants to speak, but she doesn't know where to start nor what topic she should insert so she kept mum and let her mind run, thinking of what she should say to her girlfriend.

When suddenly, her phone rang. She immediately took it out of her pocket with her free hand, checking the caller and saw her father's contact. Her face darkened as she ignored the call and tucked it back into her jeans. Chaewon noticed it.

“It's alright, you could take it.” Chaewon reassured, smiling a bit and Minjoo just smiled tiredly, shaking her head to dismiss the idea which got her worried. “Who was it?” Chaewon asked, a little bit curious.

“It was my dad,” Minjoo whispered her answer, and her solemn tone didn't go unnoticed by Chaewon. “Oh,” She just quietly exclaimed, trying to recall something but nothing— it seems like Minjoo never told Chaewon anything related to her family, except for their names and stuff but she knows there's more into that, a very personal one.

“W-Well, I kind of don't want to answer it since I'm a little bit upset with him.” Minjoo suddenly blurted out and it piqued Chaewon's interest. Her girlfriend hummed, just tightening her hold. “How come?” She asked.

Minjoo could feel a lump on , Chaewon never really asked something about her family or anything. But that's not the problem, she never really said anything about her family, especially her father to anyone, even Wonyoung but she trusts Chaewon to the point she would never hesitate to spill her little conflict with her father.

“Well, I was once close with my father back then but slowly we grew distant with one another when he landed a job. But we grew colder and more awkward with each other because of what happened two years ago.” Minjoo started, and she could feel her shoulders tensing already. Chaewon squeezed her hand, giving her encouragement yet a sign that she doesn't have to continue but she did anyway.

“One day, my father suddenly went home, looking so happy and told us he got promoted. He even treated us into a very nice restaurant, and wasted a lot of money but then…” Minjoo paused, sighing— recalling how their faces dropped upon hearing an announcement from her father, the real announcement about his work.

Chaewon pursed her lips into a thin line, feeling bad but Minjoo just kept mum. “There was no promotion that happened, right?” She offered and the taller just smiled at her, a broken and sad smile. “Yeah, he actually got fired. He had a mental breakdown, almost resulting in us losing our home.” She added with a sigh, feeling her lips quiver a bit because of the emotions that suddenly washed over her but at the same time, feeling light because she let her feelings out.

“Until now, I still feel upset. He’s never been the same anymore, refusing to take a job and let our mother work more than two jobs so she could feed us and provide our needs. He just writes now, writing useless stuff and if he’s lucky enough, people sometimes buy his books and get commissions.” Minjoo added, gulping as she shook her head in great disappointment.

Chaewon just stared at her girlfriend, listening intently. And once their eyes met, Minjoo noticed the glint of worriness and sadness in Chaewon’s eyes, and they communicated through their orbs and they somehow perfectly understood one another.

“I-I’m sorry for blabbering about my father, It’s just, I never told anyone about this and I trust you so much, Chaewon.” Minjoo whispered, and even leaned her head on her girlfriend’s shoulder for comfort and surprisingly, Chaewon did not flinch or react, instead— she pulled her closer and gave her enough comfortable warmth. “Thank you for trusting me,” She could hear Chaewon’s low voice, and a second after that, the older pressed a kiss on her crown which made her smile.

They stayed together like that, comforting each other with their own warmth. Minjoo doesn’t know but she feels more relaxed and comfortable, the warmth and coziness that Chaewon emits today is just that very reassuring, warmth and coziness that she never once felt around Chaewon before until today happened.

“Seriously, Chae. Thank you for today, you don’t know how happy I am.” Minjoo suddenly whispered and she frowned when she felt her girlfriend freeze, feeling her shoulders tense which made her lean away and faced her. Chaewon is wearing this unreadable expression, and Minjoo doesn’t know what to feel.

“And I’m glad that I made you happy.” Chaewon replied back, her lips twitching up into a crooked smile yet it didn’t reach her eyes, Minjoo could even see the sad glint in her eyes but she just entirely forgot it when Chaewon suddenly leaned in, gaze lowering down to her lips and Minjoo instantly knew and got the signal, also leaning in so she could meet her halfway as she closed her eyes.

Chaewon softly kissed her this time, for the first time. It’s not rushed, not harsh, not hard— just full of passion and gentleness that made Minjoo explode. She felt so loved.

The kiss didn’t last long when Chaewon pulled away, slowly fluttering her eyes open as she leaned away, meeting gazes with her. And suddenly, she reached for her face, caressing it ever so gently like it’s fragile before tucking her stray hair behind her ear. “Beautiful,” She muttered so lovingly, so lovestruck.

Minjoo saw the universe in Chaewon’s eyes that time.

They went home the moment the sun set, and the skies dimmed. Chaewon drove her home, of course, and the ride wasn’t pretty awkward but they never spoke with each other along the way, just enjoying the comfortable silence. With Chaewon driving and Minjoo fumbling on her phone with an idiotic grin as she scrolled through her camera roll full of pictures of her and Chaewon from earlier.

It didn’t take long for them to reach Minjoo’s house. Chaewon parked her car on the driveway, very silent.

The older one started to unbuckle her seatbelt with a small smile when suddenly, Chaewon spoke. “You do know that this won’t happen everyday, right?” She asked, a little bit hoarse as she looked at Minjoo who gave her a look.

Nodding, Minjoo answered. “Yes, I’m aware. We can’t always ditch class, Chae.” The older one shook her head, looking a little bit frustrated. “I mean… You do know that this might not happen again, even. Me, being sweet to you, and stuff…” Chaewon blabbered and Minjoo was confused.

The taller one then suddenly shrugged. “I don’t care, today is today. And tomorrow is tomorrow, I’ll just worry about it when it comes but today, I’m the happiest. Today is the happiest day of my life, Chaewon.” She replied with a very soft tone which made Chaewon’s heart swell. A small smile curved up into her lips.

“I’m really glad that I made you happy, Minjoo.” Chaewon responded back with a low voice and Minjoo giggled, leaning in to press a chaste kiss on her girlfriend’s lips.

“And you really taste better when you don’t smoke, please don’t smoke often anymore, babe. Good night, see you tomorrow.” Minjoo commented with a bright grin before opening the car door, slipping in and it caught Chaewon off guard.

“U-Uhh, I’ll try my best to remember that, babe.” The bob haired woman’s voice quivered a bit but she forced a smile. “Good night too, sweet dreams.” She added to Minjoo as the latter closed the door gently after throwing her a very sweet smile, walking over to the house but before she could enter the gate, she waved at her. Chaewon just waved back and waited for Minjoo to enter the house and when she did, she deflated.

“Yujin, don’t let it get into you. Don’t, why are you so attached after spending a day with a stranger, and she’s taken by the owner of this body, for god’s sake.” Chaewon— Yujin said to herself, shaking her head as she tried to collect herself before driving back home.

When she arrived home, she immediately plopped her body to the mattress, letting her mind run. She actually doesn’t know why she meddled with Chaewon’s business, her life… but it felt like she needed to. Earlier in the morning, when she was eating breakfast, all of Chaewon’s backstory slowly came into her, including her and Minjoo’s story which made her a little bit furious.

Yujin is never the one who pokes her nose into other people’s business, she just wanted for the day to smoothly flow using someone else’s body and try her best not to leave a trace or impression that is unusual to the people around the person she’s currently possessing. It’s not like they wanted for it to happen either, so she would rather stay low and try not to meddle with their businesses or anything but here she is.

Now, she must’ve given Minjoo false hope that her girlfriend might have changed for the better. Her heart feels heavy all of a sudden, and a scary sensation spreads around it, a fluttery yet terrifying feeling that she never felt for anyone for as long as she could remember.

She just wanted for Minjoo to feel loved by her irresponsible girlfriend but something shifted instead, for the better or for the worse, Yujin doesn’t know but she’s aware that she has a big part of this.

It feels like responsibility was thrown over her after this day, and Yujin is surprisingly alright with it, willing, even.

With that, she didn’t even notice that the alarm already rang until five seconds of it and sighed, doing her usual routine before she sleeps— or rather, before she finally leaves the body and possesses another different one tomorrow.

She fell asleep instantly the moment the clock struck, 11:59pm.

Minjoo kept smiling throughout the ride which creeped Hyewon out, giving her younger sister a weird look. “Why are you in a very good mood?” She asked, shaking her head. “Did you dream of something spicy or something?”

Flustered, Minjoo immediately rejected the idea. “Hey! I did not,” She denied, blushing hard. “Well, actually, Chaewon and I went on a date yesterday, so yea.” She replied back, a little bit shy which made the older one gasp. “Oh really? Heh,” She just said timidly and Minjoo started to fume, blabbering about her and Chaewon’s date yesterday and its details, Hyewon just kept mum, listening as she drove.

“Does she have a personality disorder or something? I’m genuinely asking,” Hyewon asked as they entered the parking lot of the school and Minjoo shot her a death glare almost immediately. “Whatever,” She huffed and went out, muttering a small ‘bye’ to her sister before walking off to the cafeteria, Wonyoung must be waiting for her already but before she could even enter, she saw a very familiar figure.

Her heart flipped when she spotted her but her face immediately dropped when she saw her doing something. Chaewon took out a cigarette stick and lit it up before walking to the court across the building, and Minjoo remained frozen, gulping but she just shook it off and was about to enter the building when suddenly, a voice calling for her made her halt.

“Hello!” A girl with gray bob cut hair approached her, chirpy and smiley. Minjoo blinked, a little bit confused at the sudden appearance of the stranger. “Hello?” She greeted back, coming out as a question instead.

“I’m Jo Yuri!” Yuri suddenly introduced herself, even stretching her hand for a handshake. “Sorry for disturbing you but I’m new here and my mom kept insisting me to befriend someone and I see that you’re harmless.” She rapidly said which made Minjoo blink in confusion once again but she caught up nonetheless, flashing an awkward yet friendly smile. “I’m Minjoo.”

“Hello, Minjoo. Could I tag along? I actually don’t have any class until eight,” Yuri asked, a little bit wary and pushed her specs back to the bridge of her nose, stopping it from falling as she hugged her books. Minjoo scratched her nape, nodding. “Sure, I’ll go to the cafeteria. I’m with my friends,” She said, signaling her to enter the building with her. They then did walk inside together, conversing lightly as they walked through the busy and buzzing hallways.

Minjoo felt weird but it feels like she met Yuri somewhere already which made her a little bit comfortable around her.

The both of them reached the cafeteria on time, she saw her friends happily conversing with one another as they approached them. “Hey, guys,” She greeted them with a smile, the two of them looked towards their direction, brows arching at the sight of an unfamiliar student. “This is Yuri, she’s new here.” She said, and gestured for her to sit down beside her.

“Hello, Yuri. I’m Wonyoung,” Wonyoung introduced herself and Yuri flashed her a smile. “And I’m Daehwi, nice to meet ya’.” The guy beside Yuri introduced himself with a friendly grin.

But before they could even converse, Chaewon suddenly appeared, approaching her table while scowling, absolutely not looking very pleased at all. “Minjoo,” She said, and Minjoo immediately lit up. “Chae, how’s your—”

“Minjoo, where the hell did you take me yesterday? Did we drink or something? I couldn’t remember and I missed the practice yesterday too. Yena said she saw us leaving the school yesterday morning.” Chaewon spat, fuming and instantly, upon hearing that, Minjoo froze. “What? We literally just went to the nearest bay and spent the whole day strolling around. We did not drink,” She clarified with a frown.

Arching up a brow full of suspicion, Chaewon huffed. “Then why can’t I remember what happened yesterday? Like what the hell?” She suddenly asked, pointing at her girlfriend. “Just tell me if you made me drink. Thanks to you, Coach got mad at me and asked me to clean the court for three days straight.” Chaewon rolled her eyes in annoyance as she retorted.

Minjoo is absolutely baffled, what does Chaewon mean that she can’t remember what happened yesterday, not even a single bit of it when they literally spent it together, she even has photos of proof, it's still there on her phone. But now, she came storming down to her, accusing her that she made her so drunk or something because she can’t remember anything from yesterday. Just what is happening? Minjoo is disappointed and upset.

She could feel the concerned gazes of her friends, she knew Wonyoung wanted to speak out but Minjoo wouldn’t appreciate it so kudos for her, she’s grateful for the younger one, however, she didn’t expect for the new student to suddenly in.

“Excuse me? You just spent a day with your gorgeous girlfriend and now, you’re accusing her of making you drink stuff? Just how nice,” Yuri fired back, obviously annoyed. Minjoo gave her a firm look but the new student remained glaring at her girlfriend.

Chaewon’s brow twitched, pissed off. “And who the hell are you?” She asked, hissing. Yuri scoffed. “I’m Jo Yu—” She got cut off by Chaewon herself, waving her off with a growl. “You know what, I do not want to know . This is not your business, but ours. So off,” She grunted before looking at Minjoo.

“Whatever. Just don’t forget the party tomorrow night at Yena’s, eight sharp.” Chaewon said with a stern look and didn’t even wait for Minjoo to respond and walked away.

Wonyoung huffed, crossing her arms. “What a jerk, thank you Yuri for firing back, heh.” She said before standing up, walking to the counter leaving them behind while Daehwi occupied himself with his phone.

Yuri looked at Minjoo who’s in a very deep thought, dead worried for her. “Are you alright—” She didn’t even finish her sentence when Minjoo looked at her, giving her a sharp look that made her flinch a bit. “Why did you do that?” She asked, a little bit annoyed.

With a sigh, Yuri also gave her a pointed look. “You know,” She whispered, suddenly reaching for Minjoo’s cheeks, cupping it before gently caressing it, also then moving and tucking the stray hair behind her ear while giving her a soft stare, her intense gaze immediately shifted from serious to soft. “You deserve someone better than her.”

Minjoo froze, and when she snapped back in reality, she shook her head a bit to signal Yuri to take off her hand away from her and Yuri’s hand on her cheek retreated almost immediately. It felt weird, why would she do such a gesture like that? And it didn’t help that her heart fluttered when this stranger did that, and the way she looked at her so lovingly, shivers— she suddenly recalled when Chaewon did that to her yesterday, same gesture, same glimmers in their orbs.

“I need to go,” Minjoo suddenly announced and stood up, clinging her bag on her shoulders and Yuri opened to say something when she beat her to do it. “Daehwi, entertain Yuri today. I’m not feeling well. Tell Wonyoung I’ll just call her later.” She said hastily and dashed out of that place, Yuri didn’t follow her, fortunately.

When she’s finally away from the cafeteria, she leaned into the lockers, feeling her legs weaken and turn into jellies all of a sudden. She tightly closed her eyes and nibbled on her lower lip, trying to think of the weird thing that happened to Chaewon, about her not remembering what happened yesterday but the strange student Yuri mostly occupied her mind which made her more frustrated than ever.

Weird. This day is so weird.

A certain lad slowly fluttered his eyes open, jolting out of his bed when he realized something. He heaved a sigh, frustrated as he shifted around the room, trying to find his cellphone and he finally spotted it beside the notebook.

Out of curiosity, he opened the notebook open and saw the name of the owner, Na Jaemin. Well, this body must be Jaemin’s. A guy, unfortunately for Yujin. Shaking his head, he picked up his phone and his eyes almost popped out of its sockets when he saw the lock screen, it’s Jesus Christ.

Yujin almost threw the phone away, oh my god, my god for real. This guy is religious and serves god— slowly, the background of said guy starts to fill Yujin’s head and she doesn’t want to judge.

“Well, Jaemin, I’m sorry but I’ll be ditching your choir practice in the evening because I need to follow Minjoo,” He whispered to himself before walking to the closet, almost suffering from cardiac arrest when he opened the closet because there is a huge Jesus poster on the corner.

He just sighed, catching his breath before setting the alarm on the usual times.

Minjoo is not too fond of parties, she just goes to parties if Chaewon is there— like right now. She hates crowded and noisy places but for her girlfriend, she’ll do anything. Thankfully, they don’t really pressure her on drinking alcohol, although sometimes, she would take a sip— Daehwi warned her not to consume a lot because bad things might happen, and Minjoo took his words seriously, after all— he knew well how things work in this kind of stuff.

Plus, Minjoo doesn’t like it anyway, she doesn’t have any vices.

“Babe, I’ll be just over there with Chowon and the others,” Chaewon whispered to her loudly and clearly, already bobbing her head into the beat of the noisy music blasted in the speakers around the room. Minjoo forced out a smile, nodding. “Alright, I’ll be right here.” She responded back and the older just gave her a small smile before running to her friends.

With a sigh, Minjoo looked around, trying to spot something that might entertain her— she also hoped that she will bump with someone she knew so she wouldn’t look like a stupid loner in the middle of the party.

She walked near the sound system, taking a seat at the chair as she observed around. A nice guy walked up to her, offering her a drink but she firmly refused until he gave up and went away. The song shifted into a more chilly and sweet one, Make You Mine by PUBLIC.

Her eyes immediately went to Chaewon, expecting something because it was one of Minjoo’s favorite songs that they sang together on the way to the bay two days ago. But her smile soon faded when Chaewon did not even react, just smiling to her friends.

She shook her head and heaved a sigh, something really happened that very day and she doesn’t know what to think of.

But then, her eyes caught something. A figure, approaching her while singing wholeheartedly and full of emotions, even dancing around along the song like an idiot. Somehow, Minjoo found it amusing and even giggled, watching him sway his body while singing along to the song passionately.

Minjoo just watched him put on a show in the middle of the room while laughing and when the song ended, the funny yet attractive guy walked towards her, plopping on the seat beside her. The raven haired was amused and looked at the exhausted guy. “You got the moves there, and a nice voice,” She complimented with a giggle.

The guy was in awe at first before snorting, puffing his chest proudly. “Of course, I’m a member of a choir team.” He boasted, smugly looking at her. “I only just showed the twenty percent of my potential,” He added, which made Minjoo chuckle at his arrogance, just nodding along.

“Sure, sure,” She responded with a teasing smile playing on her lips which made him snicker, suddenly stretching his hand. “By the way, I’m Jaemin,” He said, flashing a dashing smile and Minjoo blushed a bit but took his hand anyway, and shook it a bit before retreating her hand. “Hello, Jaemin. I’m Minjoo.”

“Oh, Minjoo, what a beautiful name and has a beautiful smile.” Jaemin suddenly complimented with a very sincere tone but Minjoo just shrugged it off. “Eh? Minjoo is a pretty common name,” She responded back with a plain tone, amusement still lingered. The guy just laughed. “Well, I think you’re the prettiest Minjoo then.” He added with a smile.

Minjoo blinked, shaking her head in amusement. “Psh, you can’t sweep me off my feet easily, Mr. Jaemin.” She straightforwardly said but his presence actually comforted her. Jaemin blinked, laughing before waving it off. “No, no. I don’t have any bad intentions. I’m just lonely and in need of friends.” He reasoned out and Minjoo bought it because he doesn’t sound like he was lying.

“And may I know who you are and why you kept latching into my girlfriend?”

The both of them looked at the source of the voice and Minjoo beamed when she saw Chaewon walking towards their direction. The older went to her side, snaking her arm around her waist possessively. “Oh, Chae,” She exclaimed, breathless.

Jaemin was silent for a few seconds, staring at the newcomer before throwing an awkward smile. “Hello, I’m Jaemin. I’m just having a chat with Minjoo.” He explained, catching the signal. “I’m Yena’s cousin, gay cousin.” He added, grimacing a bit.

Minjoo was actually surprised at the sudden revelation but she took the hint, because of Chaewon’s possessive and protective side, she thought Jaemin was a threat. “Okay, just don’t do something bad to my girl,” Chaewon warned, pressing a kiss on Minjoo’s jaw before running back to her friends.

“Sorry, it was a little bit sudden, she can be…” Jaemin cut Minjoo off, throwing a knowing smile at her. “I know, and it’s alright. I perfectly understand it.” He said and Minjoo was grateful for that but before she could even respond, she started to cough because of the smoke lingering around the place.

“Should we go out? It’s not entirely pleasant here,” He offered, worried. And Minjoo immediately nodded. With that, Jaemin supported her to stand up and led her to the backyard, and there’s a cute playground there so the both of them settled there at the small space before the slide, staring at each other quietly.

“Why did you date Chaewon?” Jaemin suddenly asked, scratching his chin. “I mean, I kind of know her. And with the way she ditched you for her friends, tells everything.” He added, then raised his arms up. “I don’t mean to offend, I just noticed.”

Minjoo chuckled weakly, she doesn’t have the strength to defend her girlfriend. “I don’t know. She’s super attractive.” She answered with a smile, feeling herself getting lonely because of her answer, how shallow, she realized.

Jaemin huffed in amusement, shaking his head gently as he leaned his head on the board. “You deserve better.” He muttered, and Minjoo sighed, not answering. Silence engulfed them and Jaemin thought that it’s not the best choice to convince Minjoo to stop dating Chaewon directly.

“What’s your ideal type, be honest,” Jaemin asked instead, a little bit curious.

It made Minjoo wonder, she was sure that her ideal type was Chaewon but then, her heart tells otherwise— that her real ideal type is nothing nowhere like her girlfriend and so, she let her heart talk.

“Tall, broad shoulders, slim…” Minjoo mindlessly listed, and Jaemin listened intently with a small smile plastered on his lips. “Someone who can understand me so well, appreciate me. Very understanding and supportive… Someone who will always give me reassurance and love I deserve,” She muttered, and she didn’t even realize that she was literally listing the person that is opposite of Chaewon and she’s not guilty of it.

This is her real ideal type, not the qualities Chaewon lacks. It’s just that Minjoo became so overly attracted to her girlfriend of today when they met for the first time and somehow, Chaewon liked her too and boom.

Minjoo was too lost into her thoughts that she didn’t even catch Jaemin muttering something under his breath. “I can be that person, I fit perfectly to the description,” And only snapped back in reality when they heard some firecrackers exploding nearby. “Anyway, where am I again? Ahh yes, that’s pretty much it. But I love Chaewon the way she is.” She added.

Jaemin laughed awkwardly before clearing his throat. “But seriously, Minjoo. You deserve someone better. I know I shouldn’t meddle but you’re a wonderful person, Minjoo. I can tell. Chaewon doesn’t deserve you,” He commented and the woman just laughed, shaking her head.

They once again stared at one another, staring at each others’ orbs, and Minjoo was mesmerized because of the familiar glimmers in his eyes, so oddly familiar and comforting. She was being gazed at respectfully, so lovingly, and like he was worshipping her— and that goddamn universe.

She flinched when she felt Jaemin’s hand caressing her cheek, and then moved his hand after a while, tucking her some strands of her hair behind her ear— the very specific and familiar gesture she had been receiving for three days straight. And it’s making her heart flutter extremely.

“Oi! Who the are you!? You are not Yena’s cousin!”

They heard Chaewon shouting from the window, the both of them turned there and saw Chaewon’s furious eyes with her friends. They then started to run towards their direction which made Jaemin yelp, entering the slide and exited the playground at full speed. Minjoo immediately ran after him though.

“We’ll meet again, Minjoo! But not as this guy anymore!” Jaemin shouted as he entered the car. It made Minjoo confused but she didn’t have any time to comprehend it when Chaewon suddenly picked up a rock and threw it to the rear windshield of Jaemin’s moving car and it’s a hit. The car went away with a broken rear windshield.

“What the hell, who was that ing weirdo?” Chaewon cursed and checked on her girlfriend. Minjoo just assured her that Jaemin did not harm her. After that commotion, they went back inside but it felt like Minjoo was not present there anyway because her mind kept running about Jaemin, and what he did he mean by, ‘not this guy anymore’? It kept Minjoo spacing out throughout the night.

It’s unusually dark, too dark. Yujin thought yet it didn’t take long for her to realize that she’s currently possessing someone who doesn’t have the ability to see, in short— the person is blind. She couldn’t open her eyes, or this person’s eyes. It remained dark.

Grumbling, she stood up, checking the body and patted the chest part— it’s a guy.

With a sigh, she tried to reach around. “Does this fella have a phone…?” She asked herself, and sensed what might be around her— his arm accidentally hit something long beside the bed and it might be a crane. Then, his hand managed to reach the table, and she started to blindly search for the phone and it seemed like he didn't have a phone, or it’s just around.

She gave up, just sitting there on the bed before heaving a sigh. She decided to just stay still, she wouldn’t be able to do anything today anyway, she can’t go and search for Minjoo so she just let her mind run, thinking of doing something unthinkable for a spirit who has a very complicated situation.

“Minjoo, look at this! You were at Yena’s party two days ago, right?” Wonyoung approached her with an awe expression, plopping down beside her and literally shoved her phone onto Minjoo’s face.

The older one frowned, pushing the phone away from her face and settled it on top of the table instead and she watched intently with Wonyoung also speaking, obvious amazement lingering in her tone. “Have you encountered this guy right here that very night?” She suddenly asked when a very familiar guy into Minjoo’s eyes popped out of this screen, looking terrified and shocked for his life as he frantically spoke into the mic.

“I was possessed! By a demon! It controlled my body that very night!”

Couldn’t help but to quirk her brow in confusion, Minjoo listened intently as Jaemin continued sputtering words in horror, noticeable shock and fear written all over his face as he exaggeratedly narrated the story.

“I do not go to parties, I will never do such a thing as it’s not pleasant to God’s eyes! However, I was possessed! I can’t even remember anything fully, just a hazy recollection of me dancing in the middle of the room and driving away! My mom’s car was also heavily damaged by a rock! Someone who was chasing the demon that night threw it!” Jaemin explained, shaking his head as his eyes remained wide, horrified.

Minjoo’s breath hitched, her hold on the strap of her bag tightened, getting even more confused and lost as Jaemin kept throwing out some words like he got possessed and that he can’t recall anything from that night. Awfully familiar, this situation is awfully and scarily familiar— like what happened to Chaewon, she can’t recall anything when they were together that day.

“Woah, it seemed like he got possessed for real! He serves God, and all, he won’t do such things. His friend is a friend of mine, and I heard from him that Jaemin doesn’t act like that, and really claimed that he got possessed by some bad spirit or something.” Wonyoung said with a curious tone, also amazed still. But the raven haired just gulped, shaking her head and those thoughts off before standing up. “Wonyoung, I-I will just go to the restroom,” She weakly excused herself and walked to the restroom, looking pale.

Minjoo just locked herself inside the stall, watching the interview of Jaemin’s possession, even repeating it for many times so she could sink it in. Does it mean that nice person who she encountered that very night, isn’t this Jaemin guy at all but a demon? God, just what is happening.

But if it’s a real demon, then it must've had bad intentions yet what the guy did to him was to make her laugh and heck, he was so friendly, also gentle! Minjoo is just so confused yet curious about what really happened, it’s making her head dizzy.

She decided to shrug it off and turned off her phone, then walked out of the restroom and went to the parking lot where Chaewon is waiting for her. They will actually have a ‘date’ today, and she knows, it’s just her watching Chaewon play her switch inside her car then wait until dusk comes.

When she met Chaewon, the latter immediately pulled her into a kiss and before it goes heated, Minjoo pulled away and used the ‘we’re in public’ excuse and the older bought it, leading her to her car and they chilled there, songs from Chaewon’s playlist blasting through the speakers while she played games in her switch, leaving Minjoo finding something that might interest her.

Minjoo has no problem with that, she’s grateful even because she took this as an advantage to think and so when she collected her thoughts, she struck up a conversation with her girlfriend. “Chae, do you remember when I told you about my father that day when we went to the beach?” She asked and the older instantly froze, glancing up on her before turning her attention to the switch.

“To be honest… I don’t remember anything about that. I don’t remember anything that you had said that day, nor remember what happened that very day.” Chaewon honestly confessed, still playing and fumbling on her device.

Minjoo bit her lower lip, drops of cold sweat are starting to form on her forehead. She actually doesn’t know what to feel, it’s not disappointment, she’s aware but something else— a twinge of fear and confusion. It’s impossible for Chaewon not to remember anything about that very day, impossible.

Without thinking, the taller gulped, and opened the car door. “I-I’ll go first, Chaewon.” She muttered and went out of the car, brisk walking to god’s know where. She needs to go to a quiet place, somewhere she could think clearly.

Sensing that her girlfriend followed her, she just ignored her and even fastened her pace, dashing across the street and when she couldn’t hear any calls from Chaewon, she looked through her shoulders to double-check and let out a relieved sigh when she didn’t see Chaewon anymore.

Confusion. That’s what is dancing on top of Minjoo’s head right now. With no exact destination, she just let her feet move and not surprisingly, she found herself in the bookstore downtown. Perfect, very much perfect place to think.

She quietly slipped inside the establishment. There are about five people inside, and she’s glad. Walking towards the most secluded spot she saw, she just decided to settle there and sat on the chair, heaving out a sigh as she let her eyes roam around the spacious place. Maybe she could get some books to read and probably buy a fictional book she will find interesting.

However before she could even stand up and browse through the shelves, a stranger suddenly took a seat across her, making her brow shot up. There’s a lot of vacant seats in the place yet this stranger occupied the seat of her table. Just great.

It’s a woman, looking very hesitant and troubled. She never saw her before but the glint in her chocolate orbs, it’s strikingly familiar to her, and her heart acted up so suddenly. What is really happening to you, Minjoo? Your heart is acting because of the familiar glimmers you see in stranger's eyes?

“Yes? What can I do for you?” Minjoo asked, a little bit awkward and tense because of the stare. The woman took a sharp intake of breath before speaking. “Minjoo.” She said and it caught the girl off guard, this person knew her, it seems like, but she’s not really entirely familiar with her.

“Do I know you?” The raven haired woman questioned, blinking in confusion as she shifted into her seat. Taking another deep breath, the stranger spoke again. “Yes? Uhh, I mean, in some way. We met a couple of times already and spent time with one another.” She answered without hesitation which made Minjoo even more confused than she is.

“Huh? I’m sure I’ve never met you before, miss.” Minjoo replied back, getting uncomfortable because she’s confident that she never crossed paths with this woman in front of her ever yet here she is, claiming that they met already and even spent time together.

The stranger bit her lower lip, clasping her trembling hands together as she straightened her back. “Because when we met before, I’m not occupying this body but others.” She responded.

Minjoo’s lips twitched. “Excuse me? What are you trying to imply cause— I can’t really understand,” She asked, breathless as she leaned closer, trying to understand what this stranger was saying.

“Look, Minjoo,” The woman said, her lower lip and her eyes shook a bit, nervous for sure. “When we met for the first time, I was Chaewon. I was the one who spent the time with you at the bay, not entirely her but me. Then when we met again, I was Yuri, the new student who approached you. The last time, I was Jaemin with you at Yena’s party.” She explained with a plain tone, gulping after as she watched Minjoo’s reaction.

There was a short pregnant silence.

Minjoo almost barked out a laugh. “Just what are you saying, miss. You are saying gibberish, I have no time for this.” She responded while shaking her head, grabbing her bag but the stranger panicked and asked her to sit back and let her explain further. Minjoo is sure that she’s talking with someone who has a loose screw and she needs to go out of this place, away from this crazy woman.

“What I’m saying is real, Minjoo. Believe me,” The blonde stranger insisted, a little bit frustrated yet not surprised with her reaction. “We really did meet in those certain circumstances and when I was inhabiting those bodies.” She added, her eyes glimmering and pleading as she reached for her hand.

Minjoo flinched because she felt sparks when their skin touched, a very familiar feeling that she couldn’t explain. She immediately retreated her hand away like she got burnt, and she gulped when the woman in front of her deflated and her eyes showed sadness because of her action.

“Who are you?” The raven haired woman finally got her voice and managed to speak, hissing and scowling.

The stranger once again took a deep breath, looking serious this time. “My name is Yujin, and I’m a spirit who wakes up into a different body everyday. Always in the same age, never the same person twice.” She paused, pursing her lips for a few seconds before continuing, wearing a gloomy yet solemn expression. “I absolutely have no control over any of it.”

Minjoo stared at her, giving her a pointed look. “Am I getting pranked because this is not funny—”

“I don’t know why, or how it happens. I just woke up one day, realizing that that was not me at all, I don’t live my life like that and the next thing I know, I was in another body and another life to live for a day again, and again, and again— until now, I’m still stuck with this seemingly endless loop. I’m currently trapped in this body which belongs to a Japanese woman named Honda Hitomi.” The stranger cut her off and just continued explaining.

Blinking, Minjoo remained mum for a few moments, closing her eyes and just huffed, still not believing it. “Yujin, or Hitomi— whatever, whoever you are. Please, just stop.” She pleaded then finally stood up, ready to walk away from this cute yet insane lady.

However, a grip on her wrist stopped her. Hitomi stopped her, or Yujin, whatever— that doesn’t matter anymore. “You have a very beautiful smile.” The blonde woman mumbled quietly and it made Minjoo tense. “That was the quote we got from the cookie wrapper that we bought at the stall near the bay, right?” She did not give up, still determined to make her understand.

When Minjoo did not resist, the blonde woman immediately took that chance to explain further. “You told me about your father, and how you are upset with him about that firing incident—” She got cut off when the raven haired woman gave her a very sharp look, she instantly pursed her lips.

“I never told you that, I never told anyone but Chaewon. How the hell did you know about that? I did not spend that day with you, I was with Chaewon.” The taller woman growled, obviously not pleased.

Hitomi bit her lower lip, shaking her head. “Because I was Chaewon that day, I was with you. And I know everything that happened that very day because I spent it with you, not Chaewon herself.” She replied, tugging her closer by her wrist and her eyes softened as she looked up at Minjoo. “I-I know I messed everything up. I know I shouldn’t care anymore after that but…” She paused, she couldn't find the right words to use and Minjoo took her hand back, sighing.

“You know… I’ll just go because I’m seriously upset right now because you, Chaewon, Jaemin, and every person involved in this is pulling a prank right now and I’m not having any of it. And please keep the story about my father a secret and I’ll confront Chaewon about spilling it to some strangers. Have a good day,” Minjoo said with an emotionless tone and was about to walk away when Hitomi spoke again which made her stop in her tracks.

“Chaewon never acts like what she did that very day,” She remarked, gritting her teeth. “She never looks at you like the way I did, she never compliments you earnestly like what I did, she never smiles genuinely at you like that. She entirely doesn’t care about you and your feelings.” She dropped the bomb and Minjoo’s shoulder went tense.

Their gazes met, succumbing to intense eye contact. “You guys don’t have any connection at all. Nor sparks,” She added then stood up, taking something from her pocket and reached for Minjoo’s hand, placing something on her palm and closed her fingers. “That woman was not Chaewon, that was me.” She muttered and took a step backward while Minjoo just followed her with her sharp eyes.

“I know it’s a lot to take in but I’m not ready to give you up. I’m here to enlighten you. Just message me on that Instagram account. It’s what I use to post the picture of the person who I possess that certain day. And I’m absolutely not kidding about this, Minjoo. Everything is real, but I don’t know how this happened too.” Hitomi said, then did something which made Minjoo’s heart stop beating for a second.

The blonde reached for her face, caressing her cheek before tucking the strands of her hair behind her ear, giving her a smile after then walked away, leaving her there— frozen at her spot and dumbfounded.

But Minjoo was quite sure what she just saw— the glimmers in that woman’s eyes, she saw the universe in her orbs.
