a short epilogue
a ball to the gut and you're in love with meThe vision that started it all, sometimes it flits through her mind as a mere thought, and Miyeon thinks: how fortunate she is to have out many years ago.
(Slamming her head onto the dinner table as a byproduct).
She’ll probably never know if the vision has happened or if it’s still waiting to occur. She doesn’t have the guts to ask Shuhua. Seriously.
How does one ask your girlfriend, ‘have you ever cried while doing laundry and Soojin had to come in and hug you while whispering into your ear?’
No one does that.
And if they do, Miyeon would like to ask them to teach her their ways because they’d have to be smoother than skin after a dermatology session.
Such a person doesn’t exist so Miyeon has accepted she’ll be an awkward bumbling mess for the rest of her life.
She’ll have awful timing during conversations, she’ll ask out of place questions (with good intentions, always with good intentions), and Shuhua—the girl who has thrown her blood-pumping organ into a frenzied feeding ground while holding her hand every step of the way—Shuhua will be there with her.
To stop her from committing unprompted word vomit with a small shake of the head (while hiding her laughter). But Miyeon has a feeling Shuhua actually has zero qualms with the word vomit.
It doesn’t need to be said.
She just knows.
AN: The true ending? (We shall see).
I also may have deviated and started a whole spinoff childhood friends to lovers oneshot set in the same universe. So that’s something to look forward to in the coming month or two.
