"I'm not sure why or how this things happen but they do and to be frank with you there are only few options." Jessica gulped, what is this man trying to say... "Sadly," he continued "this is one of the times where medicines lies solely behind." Okay, she's got it, there's no...
Once again he interrupted her thoughts as he took her silence as a go for him to continue. "Since I'm not your first consultation, you know it's my professional duty to advise you regarding surgery. But you probably also know it could yeild very little in prolonging your life." He paused to cast a pitiful glance at her. Alright, she's dying that's a fact, it's sad but really dying can't be a bad thing at least she'd be able to get away from her wealth craze husband for good, she'll be able to rest forever, that's not a bad idea at all. Jessica nodded and motioned for her doctor to go on.
"To avoid any regrets, I advise you to do the things you've always wanted to do, go places you've always wanted to go, visit your loved ones and spend time with them. I'm sorry." He said piteously, but with an encouraging smile. Jessica mulled over her doctor's words as she took slow steps to her car.
"Regrets?" She murmured to herself. Does she have any regrets? Yes. She does, infact too many regrets to count, her first ever regret was marrying that jerk of a man, she wonders what she saw in him in the first place. Tyler only cares about himself and money, not once had he ever considered her and her kids, his only concern was how to make her sign some papers, so he could steal from her. With that thought, Jessica's mind wandered off to their recent conversation.
"Really Tyler, is it too hard to tell your secretary to call me and tell me you cancelled lunch?" Jessica threw her bag on the table in annoyance. After calling her over on a lunch date, he stood her up and now here he was in their garden enjoying a glass of wine mindlessly.
"I'm sorry Jess,..."
"You said I had to be there to sign some papers." She cuts him off. What's the use of listening to his empty apologies when she knew he didn't mean them.
"I had a last minute meeting with Mr Hui, it was for the company's benefit, though he's such an arrogant fool I had to please for a favor."
Jessica rolled her eyes dramatically at him. "First of all, you did that for your own gain not for the company and second, I hate it when you talk bad behind those you munch on shamelessly."
"Oh yeah?" He raised his eyebrows in question.
"Yes." Jessica nods firmly.
"Well," Tyler stood. "I asked you to come down here so that I can sign some of these stocks over and put them in your name. So I can get out from underneath this god damn audit!"
Jessica smirked. "You are not in some kind of trouble, are you?"
Her husband smirked back. "We're going to have to talk creative accounting honey, and you are going to have to help. So sign the papers and I don't know if I will be home for dinner." He finished and turned to leave.
"But It's important that we eat dinner as a family, your daughters misses you." Tyler paused to cast a side look at her.
"It sure as hell is." He said and left her standing at the garden. That was it, all of it. That's the only kind of conversation she ever have with her husband, no more, no less. Jessica shook the thought out of her head just as she's arrived home.
One of her daughters ran to welcome her. "Mummy, mummy is it true we are going to grandma's? Ajumma is packing up for us."
Jessica smiled seeing her daughter so excited. Yes she's definitely going to miss her daughters, they're her only source of happiness in this cruel home. Dying seems to be a bad idea after all. She bent to be of the same level as her daughter, kissing her forehead. "Yes, sweetie. You will spend your break with grandma."
"What about you? Are you coming along?" The little girl asked with a sad face.
"No, no sweatheart. Mummy already got some plans."
"Are you going on another trip with Daddy?"
Jessica smiled again at the inquiry and shook her head no. "I have plans with Aunt fany and the rest of our friends."
"Can't we come along? Grandma's house is so boring." Her other daughter asked as she joined the two. Jessica couldn't stop smiling at her sassy daughter. The two are so much alike in terms of looks, yet so much different. While Ji Hee is quiet, timid and reserved, Jin Hee is quite the opposite
"Trust me, grandma's house won't be boring this time, she's taking you on a trip to disneyland."
"Disneyland?" They both asked simultaneously.
"Yes, don't you want to go?"
"Disneyland isn't a bad idea," Jin Hee began coolly, nodding at the thought. "So, we will manage."
"Manage? This is a dream come true. Mummy we would love to." Ji Hee butts in quickly, her sister glared at her and she shrugged.
"Great, now come on let's go finish the packing." Jessica took their hands and rushed inside.
"There's not much to do, their bags are already packed." A middle aged woman informed Jessica with a smile.
"Thank you so much Mrs Jun."
"It's nothing, come on girls let's go see if there's anything else you will want to be packed, let your mother rest a bit." The woman said. Jessica threw a grateful smile at the housekeeper before walking into her room.

The Hwang's cabin was warm and bright with the light Jessica had seen from a distance on the winding mountain road, friendly yellow light radiating into a black night, onto glowing snow.
Tiffany greeted her with shouts of welcome, and a flurry of hug. The remaining three of the circle were gathered around a huge blazing fireplace and an additional one that arrested Jessica's attention immediately. She sat on the hearth, and rose as Tiffany introduced the new woman to her.
"Kwon Yuri," the woman Jessica had noticed, extended a hand to her. Tall and slender, she pushed her brunette hair back from her forehead.
“Nice to meet you.” Jessica said, smiling and holding her hand for a moment before releasing it.
“The pleasure is all mine,” Yuri said, smoothing and straightening the jacket of her plaid pantsuit.
