Love We Cannot Have3.
Every once in a while Hyoyeon wonders about that one love she could have had if only she
told Eunhyuk what she really felt.
Eunhyuk was a bit popular in class, with his outgoing personality and charismatic dancing.
And eventhough a lot of girls flash their eyes or flirt their way to him, Eunhyuk doesn't go
out with anybody.
He was, however, always with Hyoyeon.
Not that he likes her or anything, he just enjoys her company. They share a lot of similarities
and among all, they share one passion: dance. Hyoyeon enjoys Eunhyuk's company too. He
was a level above any other guy she has met with. They were a friendly pair: a couple of
friends who enjoys each other's jokes, angsts and the little extras about them.
But being constantly enjoying with one girl, and one girl only, automatically gives birth to
jealous swarm of girls who want to win Prince Eunhyuk's heart. Hyoyeon was a victim of their
girly revenge: picking on her minimal fashion style of flowy shirts and jeans and flats, or the
fact that she's not worn anything on her face more than a damp of powder and lipgloss. To
them who has put effort to buy the latest fashion selections, or meticulously coloring their face
with the latest Revlon products, Hyoyeon was nowhere comparable and just plain old annoying
that she gets to spend time with Eunhyuk than anyone of them.
Hyoyeon has told Jessica of her infamous status in class, and they have agreed to stick to their
principles: as long as she doesn't step on anyone, they could badmouth her all they want. The
conversation goes on about topics only best friends could understand, until Jessica asks the
question everyone has been dying to ask but never get to: "Does he like you?"
Eunhyuk does not show any motive that would be suspicious for Hyoyeon. There weren't any
signals...or did she misread it? Does buying her lunch mean anything more than just buying her
lunch? Does giving her souveniers from his vacations mean anything more than him remembering
her and buying her a gift? Does volunteering to send her home even if they're on the opposite
route mean anything more than being his usual helpful self?
Does him asking her, "If I court you, would you say yes to me?" mean anything more than a joke?
Hyoyeon suddenly panics. There is an earthquake on the ground she stands, an impending
hurricane whistles in the air, thunderstorms approaching in the pitch black sky--
Oh .
She curses because it was too late. It's been almost a month since Eunhyuk gradually stopped
hanging around with her. He did it so subtly she only realized when he's already not with her,
bugging to buy her lunch or walk her home. He did it so subtly she realized it was after she answered
him with, "I don't know." He did it so subtly that Hyoyeon only realized when everything was all too
late.
Had she answered him with what she really wanted to, would Eunhyuk not have gotten back together
with his ex-girlfriend, Tiffany?
Yes was the word Hyoyeon left unsaid, a word that would have given her the love she could have, but
now can never have.
part three: hyohyuk(fany). Wrote this without permission/notice from the person who experienced this in real life. I tried to change things though, but the main
point of the heartbreak was kept. I don't think this is one of my best writings since I am typing while singing my heart out on Korean drama OSTs. keke The idea of this began one year ago, after spending an unexpected Valentine's encounter. I wasn't able to update since there's a lack of angstlove stories around me and there's no point in updating a Valentine's Day treat if it's summer time or Mother's day or Halloween lol
The third part was supposed to be SeoKyu, it's still a hidden chapter and tearfully unfinished. Wish that my friends have stories to tell about their February 14 so I could write their tales here (albeit illegal) XD
