• fallen leaves.
Description
"Temperamental artist," that's what people used to qualify Taeyong. Yet, behind this indifferent façade was found much more depth and complexity than he would ever let on. Haneul was ready to crack it all open, but was time in their favour?
Prologue:
Autumn was such a bittersweet season; not quite cold not quite warm. Reminiscent of Summer’s bright sun across the falling fiery leaves, complimentary to the upcoming breezy weather that announced yet another chilly Winter.
Taeyong was gazing at the fallen leaves from his apartment window; he had purposefully chosen a complex that was adjacent to River Han, giving him a beautiful scenery on the water-current, as well as the surrounding greenery. His sketchbook laid wide open in front of him, yet the page remained void of any lines. Above the sketchbook was an array of coloured pencils, yet the tone of his mood announced nothing that bright. Really, Taeyong was lonely, conflicted and lost. Autumn always had that effect on him. Leaning his chin onto his palm as he continuously gazed out the window, he soon began daydreaming. Nothing specific dawned at his mind beyond his imagination of how it actually feels to be whole; to be complete and happy.
Haneul sighed in comfort as she welcomed the delicious aroma of her black coffee to awaken her senses. River Han was ever so gorgeous to her and its breath-taking horizon was more than enough to leave her awestruck. Seated on a bench by the riverbank, she could only contemplate about her upcoming week. A new job, a new town, a new place – all so foreign yet, so promising. Illuminated by a tight smile, her facial expression could only denounce her innocent intentions and sincere heart; after all, happiness resided within.
