She hated to be called Tae. Couldn‘t stand it, even. And of course, at it happens, everybody called her Tae.

Ever her parents and best friends.

“My name is Taeyeon!“ she would often insist. “with Y and EON!“

Taeyeon knew who she was and what she‘s about, but the world refused to recognize it. 

Jessica always felt like an outsider, even if she did not show that. Even at this moment, she walked through the playground after lunch, trying to keep her pace and ignore ravens that gossiped among themselves, without letting Jessica in on their conversation – just like kids at her school. Not that Jessica cared... she convinced herself that she didn't. 

Jessica kept on running after ravens, often jealous of their freedom. One of those times, she forgot to look down and collided with someone.

She felt the impact and heard the yelp of distress, looking down she came eye to eye with the most shiny brown eyes. 

Eyes that Jessica has never seen before, or so she thought, until she recognized the girl from some of her classes.

“Sorry...you okay? I think, I know you. You‘re...Tae, right?“

Jessica kept staring at the girl who looked fine now after the impact.

“I‘m Taeyeon. Tae-y-eon. Nobody calls me, Tae.“
