Somehow, Krystal ended up staying in the hospital the whole day. Call it curiousity, or just a need to not be home and drown in her own misary, she stayed. Kai didn't have much time to stay with her although he was trying really hard to do so. She didn't mind. Work is work after all. To not stay in one place she carefully moved around. She didn't touch anything. Just looked. Not sure if she can or rather want to.
"Aren't you doctor Kai's wife? You seem lovely."
"Oh my, can't believe he finally got married."
"I'm so jelous."
The more she stayed the more she saw what an trustworthy and loved person Kai is and she wasn't sure if she belonged there. People were nothing but nice, of course, but it was what hurt even more. "I'm done for the day. You want to leave?" Kai asked her from the door. Grabbing food she brought she realised he hasn't eaten much. "You didn't eat much." It was more of an observation without a need for an answer but he answered anyway. "That's why I was surprised to see you. I don't have time so usually I wouldn't eat. I didn't expect to see you but thank you for coming." She stayed silent about the real reason she was here. They were on their way to grab a taxi. "Do you want to go home or walk for a bit?" "Aren't you tired? I don't think you had a proper rest yet." "I'm used to it." He said so with a smile on his face yet she was even more sure that he was tired. "Let's just go home. You should rest while you can." She didn't notice the smile that was on his face afterwards. Way to the house wasn't long and fast enough they were inside. "You should freshen up." Krystal told Kai "Do you want to eat something?" Seeing him just work without real rest was making her tired. This was the least she could do. "There is no need. They will probably call me so I will just pick something up on the way." He was happy that she was the one to start the conversation. He didn't let it show too much,
