Jungkook peered through the slits of his open locker door as Taehyung walked down the hallway.
Loneliness washed over him every time he saw his ex-best friend.
It had been eleven months and three weeks since they had last spoken.
Almost a year.
A year of static every time they were in close proximity.
The worse was no one questioned it.
The two boys that had always been seen together for years prior to their fight, were no longer seen together.
And no one seemed to care.
at least, that’s what Jungkook thought, considering no one had asked him what had happened.
But he also didn’t have a lot of people around these days.
Since he was the youngest of his friend group, most of his friends silently took Taehyung’s side, hanging out with him all the time and leaving Jungkook to wander around by himself.
Once the handsome boy walked past, Jungkook closed his locker and walked alone to class.
He spent the lesson pondering over what had happened, and how it pushed the two of them so far away from each other.
They were having a sleepover, just the two of them, at Taehyung’s house.
Watching music videos on the television while playing against each other on an online game on their own laptops.
The usual.
But when an ad for face wash came on featuring a popular idol whom Jungkook found very attractive, he couldn’t help but comment on it.
“He’s hot.”
Taehyung paused, furring his brows as he tried to focus on the game while glancing over at Jungkook’s expression.
“Hot?” Taehyung scoffed. “That sounds kinda gay,” He finished swallowing back his saliva before shaking his head and smirking.
Jungkook felt his heart shatter.
That didn’t seem like a very happy tone coming from his best friend.
Maybe he shouldn’t have said that.
Maybe he should just keep pretending like he found girls hot and not guys.
