The called one smiles at the voice, clearing up his throat before answering, “Yes, hyung?”

“Hey, early bird. Just checking up on you”

“I woke up to your call. But it’s okay, I need to get up anyway. Where are you now? Home?”

The asked one also smiles at the questions, he misses this type of feeling, “Yeah. Still resting since I came back from Paris. Also I saw the news, thought you covered your face with a ball, it turned out your rounder face”. And with that Jiyong hears a short whine of “hyung~” from the other side.

“I got fatter so what? Also it was the hairstyle that made my face look big”, Seungri added.

Jiyong chuckles at the response and he can feel Seungri’s little laugh as well. He loves it. But he wants more,  “So, how you feelin’?”

“Good. Just kind of tired but oh well I have the rights to be tired all the way I want. But yes, I’m fine, hyung”

They both unknowingly smile at the same time, even their breathings are synchronizing to each other. Jiyong misses Seungri. Seungri misses Jiyong.  But as much as they want to talk about a million things, time can’t grant their wishes yet.

It’s hard. It’s just hard. It’s unexplainable, and they don’t want to push it. Because the last time they did, Jiyong left with an awkward feeling that day. That day when he came to visit Seungri not long after his military discharge, and apparently he didn’t bring his patience along with him, so he ended up asking questions after questions once Seungri opened his apartment door.  He knew he was wrong, but he was also right, in his mind at least.

And Seungri understood that. The elder had the right to act that way. In fact, everyone did so. He had been handling tons of questions since last year, even if he had to repeat the same thing to each person who asked him, hell the media. But it was Jiyong. It was different. The moment they met for the first time after his doomsday, he got scared. Jiyong’s eyes were searching answers through his, staring at him sharply. He looked upset, angry, confused. But he also looked sad, worried, broken. Seungri’s heart shattered that day.
