This story is tagged as Samo because it is almost entirely about Samo. However, and I say this because it isn't a spoiler and you will see why almost immediately, Samo is not endgame. So please understand that before reading. Furthermore, this is a bit of an experimental piece for me, and I advise that you shouldn't read if you are sensitive to topics surrounding grief and death. Please be aware that this has not been proofread.

This is the instrumental theme of this fic, one half of the inspiration for the story. The other half is a short film I watched long ago that I recently revisited, which the concept is (very) loosely inspired by. Two pieces of dialogue pay homage to it.
