Every employee of the company was panicking to save their works or several office documents. The female employee was still unconscious on the watery floor and Mr. and Mrs. Kang were still fighting even in the middle of the mess.

The elevator opened on the ground floor and Eunseo hurriedly ran outside holding her umbrella because her son Eunjae might be soaking wet but she was surprised to see him carrying a little transparent umbrella of his own while playing with the water on the floor. Eunjae brightly smiled at his mother when he saw her rushing towards him.

“Mom! Look it’s raining inside!”
“I’m sorry that it took so long but how did you get that umbrella?”
“Oh! A tall and nice hyung gave it to me! He said it will rain soon!”

A tall guy carrying the said umbrella approached Eunjae while the alarms were still blaring inside. Eunjae looked up to the person and it was Seungyoun with a smile on his face who gave it to him.

“Kid! Take this umbrella.”
“Why?”
“Because it will rain soon…”
“How do you know that it will rain soon?”

Seungyoun just gently took Eunjae’s hand and placed the umbrella in it. Seconds after, the fire sprinklers activated and water really poured down inside the building. Eunjae became absolutely excited and couldn’t help but look up at the high ceiling. 

“Woah! It’s really raining! Hyung! We can share ---“

Eunjae quickly turned to Seungyoun but he was not there anymore, he simply disappeared.

“Where is that hyung now? I should thank him.”
“I don’t know mom, he was gone after it started raining.”
“Is that so? We should thank him if we see him later then.”

Eunjae happily nodded in agreement. Eunseo turned back one last time, took in the last sight of the place and uttered one final word.

“Goodbye…”

She then held her son’s hand and they both walked towards the exit while joyously chatting about how they would celebrate Eunjae’s birthday after.

Back at the Night Monarch…

“Seungyoun-ah…Where are you?”

Sakura paced back and forth worried about Seungyoun’s whereabouts when he suddenly vanished in front of her and seconds later, Seungyoun appeared with a scorched hand.

“Ahhh! It really hurts like crazy!”

Seungyoun held his trembling burned hand while his eyes repeatedly flashed with thick colors of blue around the pupils and red in the pupils themselves. His fangs were also visible while gritting his teeth because of the excruciating pain.

Sakura hurriedly ran towards him and placed her hands on Seungyoun’s face, gently cupping his face.    

“Seungyoun-ah…Look at me. Slowly breathe in…and breathe out…”

Seungyoun met Sakura’s eyes and slowly did what he was told to do and he started calming down. He closed his eyes as Sakura continued the simple counts and after several minutes, he opened his eyes which completely returned to normal, his fangs also disappeared and his hand started reconstructing itself.

Sakura quickly removed her hands on Seungyoun’s face.

“Thank you, Kura…”
“Why did you go outside? The sun is still up.”
“I went to see Eunjae…”

Apparently, Seungyoun’s hand was hit by sunlight after he handed the umbrella to Eunjae.

“You should have been careful!”
“Okay, okay. I’m sorry but look at you Kura! You’re worried about your brother!”

Seungyoun who was feeling so moved adorably ruffled Sakura’s hair with a grin.

“Hey! Stop it! Am I a kid?!”
“Okay…okay...Anyway, I’m tired…See you later tonight! Bye-bye!”

He tiredly descended the stairs and left Sakura in the shop without looking back.

“Seungyoun-ah, I’ll complete my potion someday so that you can finally walk again under the sun.”, Sakura sincerely thought to herself.

Sakura then proceeded in tidying things up inside by herself.

Later that night…

The “Night Monarch” was open again for business! 

“Another wish has been granted…”
“I know right…”

Seungyoun with a functioning hand again and Sakura stood before a beautiful wood fountain with an intricate human statue at the center which is made also from wood in the middle of the garden where visitors throw in the wishes they have by writing on a special leaf-like papers provided by the facility. The attraction looks just like a normal fancy fountain but what the normal eyes couldn’t see was that the papers shine in different colors underwater depending on their urgency wherein blue as the least and red as the most urgent of all. Red leaves float up to the water’s surface while the others remain at the bottom. The bright colored leaves are also connected to the different feelings of people as well as their precious lives. Once a certain wish has been granted, the leaf will return to its original white hue and submerge itself again underwater.

The fuchsia flower at the window chimed throughout the place. Seungyoun and Sakura turned their heads to the direction of the staircase and saw two familiar faces, they were Eunjae and his mother Eunseo.

“Wow! It’s beautiful here! Right, Eunjae-yah?”, Eunseo exclaimed.

Eunjae just nodded in wonder of the place, not really sure if he heard his mother correctly.  

“Welcome to the Night Monarch!”
“Oh! Mom! It’s the tall hyung!”

Eunjae tugged his mother’s hand towards the two and Eunseo quickly looked at Seungyoun who has a big smile on his face.

“Hello…Eunjae-yah, say hello.”
“Hello, tall hyung! Hello, pretty noona!

Eunseo quickly bowed her head while Eunjae respectfully greeted the two with a low bow.

“Thank you for letting Eunjae borrow your umbrella. Here, let me return this to you.”
“It’s okay, I have other umbrellas that I can use.”
“Are you sure?”
“Yes.”

Seungyoun made an even bigger and brighter smile and Eunseo couldn’t help but smile as well. 

Sakura interrupted the silence of their somewhat reunion.

“So…What can we do for you?”
“O-Oh! I’m here to buy some herbs.”
“This way please.”
“Eunjae-yah, wait here for me, okay?”
“Okay!”

Sakura escorted Eunseo to the shop, leaving behind the other two outside in front of the fountain.

“Hyung! Where did you go earlier?”
“I just had a sudden plan earlier.”
“Oh…Anyway, why is this place called “Night Monarch”?
“You want to know why?”
“Yes!”
“Then…Press a finger to my palm…”

Eunjae was confused but he obeyed nonetheless and when he pressed his finger to Seungyoun’s palm, lots of blue monarch butterflies appeared and Seungyoun disappeared. Eunjae was left admiring the group of butterflies surrounding him.

“Did you like my surprise?”

Eunjae turned around surprised and saw Seungyoun standing behind him with a grin. 

Sakura and Eunseo returned to them while chatting after a quick look at the shop.

“Thank you for helping me.”
“You’re welcome!”  
“Eunjae-yah, let’s go now…”
“Oh! Mom! Can you see the butterflies?”
“What butterflies?”

Sakura’s eyes widened and Eunseo curiously looked around but caught no sight of the insects at all.

“Mom! Can’t we stay here a little longer?”
“No…We still have to celebrate your birthday.”
“Okay, mom…”

Eunjae pouted in disappointment and the two bid their farewells to Seungyoun and Sakura. The two then proceeded walking towards the staircase hand in hand until Eunjae stopped and looked back. 

“Hyung! Show me your magic again, okay?! Bye-bye!”

Eunjae cutely waved his hand goodbye. Sakura spoke to Seungyoun in a small voice while they were waving back and not taking their eyes off the mother and her child.

“Hey…Are you out of your mind?”
“What now? It’s Eunjae’s birthday after all…”         
“You are no help at all…”

Sakura raised her fingers to her lips and opened up her hand after with now a single violet monarch butterfly on her palm. She blew it like a flying kiss and it fluttered across the center of the blue ones towards an excited Eunjae and the child extended a finger to try and touch the incoming butterfly. Upon landing on Eunjae’s finger, the butterflies dissipated, leaving only a scent of rose which compelled him to forget about what happened earlier.

“Eunjae-yah! Hurry now.”
“O-Oh...Y-Yes, mom…”

Eunseo and Eunjae finally bowed goodbye and went down the stairs.

“Goodbye, Eunseo-ssi…”
“Goodbye, Eunjae-yah…”

Seungyoun and Sakura smiled for the last time and they started bickering afterwards while walking down the path to the shop, it went on without pause even until they ultimately closed the door behind them.
