HI.

I know it’s been a while since I last updated, but I have an announcement to make!

I underestimated how busy I was going to be during my term abroad program…and well, clearly, I’m pretty busy. I’ll spare you the details, but I have school work (and homework for a SAT math prep class outside of school). And as much as I love writing, school and sleep (and math, yuck) come first. And making the most of this experience, too, which has been taking my attention away from my fics. 

I’m still writing, though! I do have a draft of chapter 6 sitting on my computer, but it’s pretty terrible (ahem, let me quote Hemingway on this, first drafts are "excrement"). I will need time to properly go over it + a bunch of other fics.

I’ve also lost interest in this story. I actually lost interest around chapter 2, but I kept on writing…and now, I feel like it’s just going downhill. I will keep writing because I don’t like leaving things unfinished, but updates will be slower. I know I promised weekly updates, but…ugh. To be honest, this story was initially written as a gift for my friend, and it’s not something that I absolutely love myself. The free time I have had has gone into writing different stories instead, not this one. 

But the bottom line is, I will keep updating! It just won’t be as often—probably much more sporadic. I can’t promise anything after my spring term ends either since I’ll still be busy abroad, learning and travelling and maybe tutoring/teaching.

I think, later on, to prevent this sort of thing from happening, I’ll write the entire fic beforehand and just post it up in parts. I can’t really do this for Addiction since it’s already been posted, but for later stories. 

Also, on top of the fact that my host family's Wi-Fi is not very good (two bars right now, earlier on it was only one), it seems to hate AFF. It takes almost 10 refreshes to load one page sometimes. And they’re not fast refreshes; they’re slow. It really makes me dread posting. Haha. Doesn’t help that school wi-fi also goes at the pace of frozen molasses because other term abroad kids are downloading Modern Family or streaming videos or something. THEY KILL IT. Bandwith. dead.

I didn't want to be one of those authors who get all gung-ho about posting a story and then promptly break their promise and stay dead for like a month or two (getting up the readers' hopes, gah, I hate that), but I mean...yeah. It's happened. 

I just want to say, thank you so much for supporting and reading. And thank you so much for your patience. You guys are great. I apologize for this…non-update.

Good news is, my other fics are not dead. After thinking about revising Wings for so long, I suddenly got this weird burst of inspiration, and now I'm going to pretty much overhaul the entire story and add a lot more stuff! :) and The Anthology of Sunggyu's Many Lives Across Multiple Universes is very much alive; the next story is coming along slowly but surely. very slowly. It's one of the stories that has been diverting my attention away from Addiction. :/
