If only (1/3)
AnthologyHer slender fingers tapped the wooden table as her eyes roamed around, her face lighting up to a smile when she saw her bestfriend dancing with her longtime boyfriend. She found her other two close friends, talking to their Psychology professor back in college. She was still smiling as she sipped her orange cocktail, until her eyes found him.
He was conversing animatedly to the woman he was with; his right arm found its way to her shoulder. His fingers caressed her uncovered skin as his eyes only focused on her, a small smile playing on his lips. A minute after, his face inched closer to her ear and she watched as the girl's eyes lit up to what he said. By their stance, she was certain he was also kissing her ear.
Of course, she knows.
He used to do that to her. She was once his girl after all.
They were in their own little bubble, giggling and laughing like no one else but themselves matter. He was now kissing her face, the girl pushing his face away. And there she was, her gaze still directed towards them, her hand gripping the table tightly.
Just then, his eyes found her own pair. Like two deep oceans, once again she found herself lost in those chocolate brown eyes. He always had beautiful eyes; she was always left mesmerized. She always liked to compare it to the stars—twinkling and shining bright in the night sky.
Looking into his eyes, it's like falling in love
