Summer night, warm winds is around, it's either to hot or warm enough, usually. 

Strangely, it was different tonight. 

"This is the second time this happen " Hyoyeon announced

It gathered the attention of the rest of the girls, who half of them were chasing each other all around the apartment with the tallest duo screaming for mercy from the danshin duo behind them.

Animatedly, they all stopped in tracks and whatever they were doing, and stared at the blonde haired DJ.

Hyoyeon was unfazed, she'd lived long enough with these crackheads to know she is one of them anyway.

"What second time? " Tiffany questioned, relaxing on one of the longer sofa

"The snow " 

They quirked their eyebrows.

"What snow? " a synchronization was acted instinctually

Hyoyeon know they can all be dense, even the maknae, but not THIS dense. The huge sliding door to the balcony is freaking wide open!

"The one that is falling outside, right now! " 

The 7 crackheads, as if for the first time ever that night, glanced off at the said balcony, and true to the Kim words, it was snowing!

Taeyeon gasped lightly, the rest being to speechless at the moment.

Seohyun was the first to found her voice

"But it's summer! "

"It's magic! " 

Seohyun stared Yoona dead in the face and went-

"You either save your thoughtless opinion or you won't be eating supper"

The Im instantly had close. The maknae has spoken.

Tiffany shake her head "This happened once, during my live birthday celebration, back in 2017 " 

"Exactly why I said it's the second time this happen " 

Silent ensued.

They look at each other nervously.

"It'll be our anniversary in 26 minutes... " Yuri muttered lowly, but in that silence, they heard

"Well.... we can sit down and talk? " Taeyeon suggested unsurely

Tiffany fidget in her seat, moving a little, it was a gesture - Taeyeon and Sunny moves to sit with her.

Hyoyeon take the single couch, while the three maknae line members sit together in one couch.

The apartment was bright, but they were not. Far from that.

Sunny breaks the awkward silent

"It's been 12 years. We've come so far, as a family more than anything "

The rest smiled nostalgically. It's been so long since debut.

"Some of us had known each other for more than our ages. I really think we should stop seeing each other " Hyoyeon being herself, always making the members laugh

Taeyeon calmed down in an instant, her gaze was far and longing, so was her smile.

"This is home.. "

"Unnie, you're making me cry " Seohyun whined, true to her, her eyes was teary

"Awww, our Seohyunnie~ " Sooyoung exclaimed, smiling widely as she ruffled their precious maknae's hair

They chuckled, some things never change.

And then, Yoona sighed.

"We're missing someone, however "

Their smile drop. 

Another silent pass.

"Yeah.. someone's missing.. " Taeyeon croaked

"What do you guys think, she's doing right now? " Yuri asked in low

A small smile take over Sunny's face "That could be sleeping for all we know "

"Language " Seohyun warned, although she was smiling

"Yeah, that's so like her " Yoona said

"Or waiting for the moment to celebrate, too. Like us " Tiffany voiced out

"Could be... that woman is so private sometimes, I feel like she'd celebrate alone " Sooyoung commented

"She used to do it with us " Taeyeon added abruptly

"We know... we were there "Hyoyeon whispered

"Well... it's not possible, she's in Bali or something the last time I heard, I swear she's some sort of a witch, every other day she's in another country " Tiffany stated, shaking her head in mild amusement when she think about it

"She literally has been around the world " Yoona mumbled dramatically

"Oh, she's living her best life, we are all envious " Sunny snorted

"Always the strong one " Seohyun said matter of factly, a coy smile playing in the corner of

"When will she get tired " it was more of a wish than a question

"5 minutes to midnight! Light the candles up! " Yuri announced

"Man, this is a lot of food! " Yoona cheered, rubbing her palms together, almost drooling at the sight of food

Sooyoung didn't say anything, she was far deeper in food trance to care.

"Unnie, pass me the plate "

"Hey, get me that tanghulu "

"Sunny, get out from the kitchen already! "

"Coming! "

"Yah! Wipe that disgusting drool you two! "

It was like a family gathering, crowded, rowdy and bright.

"2 minutes! Hey, you missed a candle "

"Opps "

And then..

Knock knock!

"Eh... who's at the door? " Sooyoung enquired

"Did someone ordered anymore food? " Seohyun asked in confusion

"Don't look at us! " the two shikshin screamed in offense

Suddenly they heard the security pin number being punched in. All goes still.

"Uh... who else know of this place and the passcode but us.. ?" Hyoyeon whispered loudly

The sound of door being opened, and closed resonated inside the entire apartment.

Nobody moved.

They heard a few ruffling, and light footsteps, until it started getting closer to the dining area.

"Take your weapon! " Tiffany commanded in harsh whisper, and they did. They all did.

They anticipated for the unknown person to walk in, it's scary how they're actually planning to hit this whoever person.

They hold their breath, and

"YAHHH! "

"WOW! Guys what the hell?! " a familiar high pitched scream deprimanded them, they stopped in their tracks, frozen in awkward positions.

Eyes wide, mouths agaped, hands loaded with utensils and plate and whatnot. It was ridiculous.

Taeyeon breathed out.

"Sica? " her voice was straight up bewildered, she lowered the spatula she was holding in defensive position

Jessica raised her eyebrows at the animated scene before her, did they really thought she was a robber?? And was ready to hit her? HER? 

The other lowered their 'weapons' likewise, too. Stunned with the revelation.

"Okay, all of you, even the maknaes, won't be having my presents tonight. All. Of. You " the Jung spoke in a cold and authorative manners, clearly reprimanding her friends with this irrational behavior, on their anniversary nonetheless!

They immediately dropped the objects they're holding, left it clattering on the floor,

The nerve. They innocently put their hands behind their back, and stared at the Ice Princess like they haven't done anything wrong.

Jessica huffed in disbelief.

"Seriously, these kids... " she murmured

"Uh.. happy 12th anniversary..? " Yuri said unsurely, flashing her a nervous smile

Jessica rolled her eyes.

"Jessi! Please, not our presents! " Tiffany pleaded desperately, kneeling infront of her American bestfriend

Jessica sit crossed leg on the single couch, all her bestfriends before her, consoling her.

"Unnie! We're sorry, we didn't know it was you " Yoona cried out

Jessica glared at them. "Oh really? I sent a message inside our group chat, you didn't know? "

"We put our phones on airplane mode, we didn't even know you were in Korea! " Hyoyeon argued

"Yeah! God knows how often you disappeared to another country every 2 days! " Sunny supported

"Unnie, we haven't meet each other like this since your birthday, don't be like this " Sooyoung begged, using her dongsaeng card purposely

Jessica frowned, and pouted, and she look so cute doing that.

"Great job, Soo " Taeyeon praised lowly to the giant

"Hyunnie, what is your explanation? " Jessica turned her attention to their youngest maknae, who was sitting beside her, on the floor.

It's at time like this that people never see in public before, Jung Sica is like the mother, and the other 8 is her daughters.

Seohyun smartly pout. Oh, she knows her Sica 'umma' weakness.

"We were to caught up with each other, and you also didn't informed us much early... " she sadly uttered

Jessica sighed heavily.

"...Fine.. " she muttered defeatedly

Their eyes lit up instantly.

"Fine? " Taeyeon asked just in case they heard it wrong

Jessica looked at her Taengoo, and smiled much warmly.

"Yes, fine "

"Woooo!! " and they cheered the happiest yet that day.

Supper was great. They were loud and cheerful. Happy.

Jessica being there just make everything more than perfect. Complete.

They bantered with her, laughed with her, , it was them from 12 years ago. It was them now. It will still be them tomorrow. And them forever.

They opened Jessica's presents together. Like children on a christmast morning, opening their presents.

Jessica was extremely pleased to see her sisters this happy with her. Oh, how cruel was their circumstance, but never would they break. Consequences can wait.

"Sica yah, how do you feel tonight? " Taeyeon suddenly directed a question at her

Jessica blinked. 

"Mmmm... " she mumbled

And then, the brightest smile greeted the members' face.

"I'm home "

Bish, I was to caught up with school works and watching ITNW ballad ver and MV last minute that I had to rushed this to publish it on time. Good thing is, I got a new idea for a future story.
