seulgi sighed as she crossed the street after finishing up her job again. she worked in a very basic store as a cashier. it was actually quite hard for her to acquire this job, as she was an omega. usually they were either slaves to a wealthy alpha or had an even worse job then what she currently had. she couldn't help but hate her life right now. her clothes were in tatters and her shoes had holes all over them. she didn't have a home to go back to because she was too poor or people would discriminate against her. she lived on the streets with her other omega friend, wendy. at least she had a job, right? she hated crossing the street at night because some of the more aggressive alphas would prowl the streets. she was lucky that none of them wanted her because she wasn't exactly the most appealing omega out there. in the last 22 years of her life, she was very lucky to have the ability of avoiding them. she learnt how to sneak around them and breath softly so she could never encounter one. she heard stories about how some were forcibly dragged into their homes and used as a plaything. it was awful and seulgi did her best to ensure that she and wendy were safe. wendy was so soft and obedient, she worried about her. whenever she went to work, she would drop her off and pick her up out of fear. she knew some of the alphas out on the streets could overpower her. she didn't want anything bad to happen to her so she treaded carefully with her around.

seulgi was running late today out of all days to pick up wendy, and she couldn't help to panic even more. she knew there were going to be aggressive alphas out at this time of the night and she didn't have any weapons on her. as she got closer to where wendy was she heard some cries out. "please, just p-please stop..." seulgi paled as soon as she heard the crack in the please because she knew it was wendy's voice that was crying. she knew her voice more than anyone in the world, of course she did, she was her best friend. seulgi picked up her pace and kept searching for her. she could smell blood in the air and she prayed that it wasn't wendy's. she really needed to see her lovely pale face right now and the way her eyes shined in the night. she started to look for her based off her scent and realized she was in the other ing direction.

when she finally found her after turning around and dashing towards her, she could feel her heart dropping. there was wendy, with her clothes slightly ripped off and blood dripping from her head. her eyes looked broken and her lips were split in half as well. there was a large bruise across her arm and a very tight hand seemed to be making it even bigger.

wendy looked at her and it seemed that in the moment, she was giving up on life.

when seulgi muttered out, "what's going on here," all the alphas turned away from wendy and stared at seulgi. they started to snarl and drool foamed across their mouths.

"can you ing let her go? she's mine."

some of them let out a cackle and the main alpha jeered out, "she's yours? what a joke. we all know what a filthy and scummy omega you are."

seulgi hissed out of frustration and dashed towards wendy. she wouldn't let them abuse her like this. it hurt her so much to see them doing this. the pain flickering between wendy's eyes. the bruises across her arms. the way they held her body in an abusive manner. the moment she got close to wendy, seulgi's body was slammed to the ground. they kicked her ribs so harshly, she couldn't help but to gasp out. she coughed and her hand was speckled with blood when she pulled away. it was almost like art, the way the blood slowly began to drip from her hands and lip. she looked up from the ground and glared defiantly at the alphas. she slowly attempted to get up but before she could, one of them stepped on her wrist. a very loud and sickening crunch could be heard. wendy cried out softly upon hearing that and she averted her eyes away from seulgi. she couldn't stand seeing her best friend sprawled across the floor while hearing the alphas stomp all over her wrists. it was her fault. if only she wasn't a stupid weak omega. she tried to escape from the alpha that was holding her, but his grip was too tight. his hands digged so deeply into her skin that she could see the red imprint that was beginning to form.

seulgi kept gasping and as the alphas wouldn't stop stomping on her wrists. she barely could move them and the pain throbbed throughout her whole body. the main alpha indicated to stop for a moment and he bent down towards her. his black eyes made seulgi shiver in fear because it was lacking warmth in them.

he grabbed her jaw roughly and snarled out, "look here omega, i'll give you two choices. either you give us the pretty blonde or yourself. i'll let her go for free! isn't that such a great deal? what do you say?"

seulgi rasped out, "take me...don't touch her. not a single hand on her anymore..."

the alpha smirked and boasted towards everyone, "see how easy it is to get an omega? jenson let go of the blonde's arm and put this chick in the car."

wendy stared at seulgi as the words left and she couldn't help but to tear up. she couldn't do this to her. they were supposed to stay together forever. it was always wendy and seulgi. never just wendy. seulgi held her hand for everything she had done. they grew up with each other, how could seulgi just accept her fate like that! blood and tears streamed down from wendy's jaw to her palms but she didn't even notice. jenson let go of her arm and walked over towards seulgi. wendy looked at her and started to cry even more.

"you can't do this baby...you are my best friend, i need you...please at least let me come with you."

seulgi shook her head roughly and snapped out, "no wendy. this is how our story ends. you go back home safely, and i'll go with them. i was a fool for thinking two omegas could ever survive the streets. i..love you...okay? best friends forever..."

wendy was barely able to choke out an i love you back at her. she simply stared numbly at the alphas dragging her away. she couldn't accept this reality. it wasn't right. everything felt out of balance and it was all her fault. stupid ing idiot. she mindlessly walked across the streets with blood and tears dripping everywhere. the sky tonight seemed to be dark and lonely.

it was just wendy now.
