Gathering Music

The Idol Trainee Challenge

Sooooo, it's been a very long time since my last post. Things in my life really took a turn and I never got to start my challenge. But I haven’t given up on it! I am still very interested in trying this challenge. Now that this new season of Produce 101 has started, I have been hit with a new wave of motivation to try this out. I promised myself I wouldn’t watch anymore trainee survival shows but I watched one episode and got in >_>

Not to mention I got really excited when I saw just how many contestants were in my age group this season. Idol trainees are known for being very young and quite frankly, I’m not interested in “stanning” a bunch of young boys that are under the age of 19. It just makes me feel like a creep.

Anyway, in the meantime, I have been gathering some music that I am interested in. My music choices fall under the categories of Dance – I only want to learn the choreography to the song; Song – I only want to learn the lyrics to the song; and Song & Dance – I want to learn both, the lyrics and the choreo together.

Here is what I have so far:

Song

  • Only You – Tiffany / Taeyeon / Seoyeon
  • Fall – Chloe & Halle
  • Happy Without Me – Chloe & Halle
  • The Best Part – Daniel Caesar
  • 123 – Jess Glynne
  • Dollhouse – Priscilla Renea
  • Butterfly – BTS
  • Promise – Jimin
  • Milky Way – JBJ95

Dance

  • See Sea – Hyolyn
  • Latata – G.Idle
  • Tip Toe – Jason Derulo (1 Mil. Dance Studio choreo)
  • Mic Drop – BTS
  • Lullaby – GOT7
  • Bad Boy – Red Velvet
  • Who I Am – JBJ95
  • Tell Me I Love You – Ha Sung Woon
  • I Know You Know – Produce 101 S2

Song & Dance

  • Very, Very, Very – I.O.I
  • Na Ya Na – Produce 101 S2
  • Nikoya – Produce 48
  • Get It  - Pristin V

Now these are by no means set in stone. I will probably add more and take some others out. I am also not going to be doing all of these. This is just my list to choose from and I really like it. I chose some of these simply because I thought it would be fun. I chose some others because I knew they would be a challenge *cough* Na Ya Na *cough*, but this is a challenge after all.

I’m also expecting all the Korean songs to be the hardest as I do not speak Korean. So singing in another language with decent pronunciation is going to be interesting, to say the least. But if these idols can attempt to sing lyrics in English to the masses, then I can try singing in Korean in the comfort of my own home.

Well that’s all for this update! I’ll be back later after I gather enough information to put a daily schedule together.

Until next time,

~ Peach.
