My name is Rick Shaw, me and John Cook had been traveling in the dusty, desolate, and empty place. The Desert, with nothing but cactus and tumble weeds seen in the distance. It seemed like we had been traveling for an eternity, but it had only a week, I have been counting the Sun sets and the Sun rises. I took off my hat as I rode, wiping away the sweat from my brow with the back of my hand. I still felt good enough to keep riding through the open desert for another 7 weeks, at least, but as gazed over at John Cook, the poor fella looked as if he might kick the bucket any second. I realized he wouldn't be able to live more than a day or two more before he was as dead as a can of corned beef. I said to my trusty horse Digdug

"Yeehaw Boy!" and we took off, sand flying behind us, as we desperately looked for any sign of civilization, someone who could help John Cook.

I heard a thump behind me and I turned around to see John Cook layin' in the dirt, I guess he fell off Ol' Digdug.

As I raced through the The Desert, my eyes couldn't help but spot a lone, magenta Cactus flower that stood out against the vast, beige backdrop. This flower immidietly reminded me of my Dear Flower, Irene. Her eyes as deep and dark as the night sky, she smiles like The Angels welcoming you into heaven after death, her voice as angelic as lone thousand cherubs singing hallelujah as they play their harps, her hair feels like the silk of angel's robes, her lips are the color of cherries from heaven's gardens. Just then I looked in the distance of the dry Desert, and saw a town

"Look." I said

"At what?" John Cook asked through his dry lips

I gestured towards the dusty little town

"Oh" whispered John Cook sounding dissappointed

"We’re only going here so you won't die." I said in a attempt to reassure my travelin
