It was a bright sunny sunday morning,  and chaerin found herself sitting in front of her dresser.  The chirping of the birds sang along as she played her favorite music while glamming up. She's wearing a bright yellow floral dress and was adorned with small pearl jewelries. Her beauty is like the fine spring, blooming and pleasing to the eyes. She did a final touch up on her make up, and she's all set.  Today,  she'll go out and enjoy the weeke ends. 

 She was humming to the tune of "i love you " by celine dion, when all of a sudden she received  text.

a smile had formed on her lips as she read the text of jiyong.

Jiyong is her college friend and her colleague in one of korea's biggest business empire,  seoul towers inc.  Both of them belonged to the accounting department.  Since college,  jiyong had a thing for chaerin, and being on the same environment enables them to get close to each other.  And their exclusive relationship began 3 years ago. 

She then touched the gold necklace he gave as a birthday present and smiled. Rembering all the happy moments they have,  chaerin couldn't help but to fall for him deep and hard.  She alid her phone inside her bag and hapilly went out of the room. 

She saunters while going down to the stairs when she saw her husband of 5 years,  Dong youngbae,  tending to their garden.  Her contagious smile all of a sudden replaced with guilt. Her husband has been the best husband in the world as what she thought  and it pains to know that she's been doing something behind his back. 

Just like jiyong and chaerin, she and youngbae were also college friends, but unlike jiyong , Youngbae made a move to get chaerin.

Her situation now is complicatedd to be honest. Every day she ask herself, how is it possible to love two person at the same time?

Youngbae knows her on the deeper level. Being together for more than 10 years,  he can read her like his favorite book. He's thoughtful, kind, faithful and loyal.  He's the type of person that you can rely on . Everyday he never fails to show how much he loves chaerin.  If there's one thing that they have in common, that is both of them loves flowers, specifically red roses.  Everyday after work, youngbae would bring her a piece of rose as his present,.indeed,  chaerin is the luckiest to have youngbae as her husband. 

As for jiyong.. 

Jiyong is an outgoing type of guy who's always up to everything. He helps chaerin in everything and he never leaves her side no matter what.  Everytime that they are together, chaerin feels happy and secure. It's like she found her male version in the person of jiyong. Just like her,  jiyong loves exploring and adventure. He had helped her to know herself more and had encouraged her to spread her wings and explore what life has to offer.  And with that,  she fell for him. 

Chaerin sighed and had wore a forced smile.  She walks down going to her husband and gave him a back hug. 

"Morning hon!  " she kissed him on the cheeks

"Morning too hon! " youngbae turned around to see his lovely wife

"My my.. My wife sure is the most beautiful woman in the whole world" he eyes chaerin in amusement. 

"You're just saying that because I'm your wife" she clicked her tounge jokingly. 

With both of them facing each other,  she s her arms around her husbands neck and gave him a sweet peck on the lips. 

"I love you hon! " meaning the words she said 

"I love you too honey! " he responded while pulling her closer, making the gaps of their body to disappear. 

"Are you gonna stay up late with dara and bom? " he asked as he tucked her blonde hair to her ear. 

Yes, girls day out, that's what she said to him. She couldn't help but to feel guilty . She's been lying to youngbae for quite sometime now. 

"No hon, i might go home at 6."
She caressed her cheeks and smiled.  

She looks at her smiling eyes,  and guilt consumes her.  She loves youngbae,  but she also has to acknowledge the growing feelings she has for jiyong. 

"Alright hon. You go now, they might be waiting for you.  Have fun OK?  Call me if anything happens  ." He happily pinched her nose as a form of endearment. 

"Alright honey, bye! " she waves goodbye and left. 

She knows what she's doing is wrong,  but thinking how happy she is with jiyong topples the contriteness she feels .

Jiyong was waiting in the secluded rural part of Seoul.  The place was surrounded by lush green grass,  and tall tress.  The spring air is perfect for their afternoon date.  He was busy fixing the picnic set when he was greeted by a very beautiful view. 

"Hi babe! " chaerin ran towards jiyong and gave him a tight hug. 

Jiyong felt giddy when he finally locked her in his arms. His heart pounded like it's about to pop out from his chest. He pulls away from the hug and had eye her from head to foot. 

"You're so beautiful babe!" He kissed chaerin on the forehead and gave her a boquet of red roses, her favorite. 

"Aish.. Stop it! " she slightly punched jiyong on the shoulders. 

"Really babe, you look so perfect " he held her shoulders and looked straight in the eye. 

"Im so lucky that I've finally found the missing puzzle piece of my life. " he held her left hand to kiss it like a true gentleman. 

As he eyes on her hand, his smile slightly fade . Turns out chaerin is still wearing her engagement and wedding ring. 

Chaerin noticed the change of mood, so she quickly pulled her hand and had removed the ring. 

"Anyway , let's eat? The drive here made me hungry" she diverted the topic to avoid any awkward situation. 

Jiyong could only manage to sigh and smile ..

"I've prepared your favorite chicken sandwich and tuna casserole. Let's enjoy this day, ok? "

Chaerin beamed a gleeful smile and noded as a response. 

"It's ok jiyong, you signed up for this, so you have to fave the consequences " he said while watching chaerin enjoying their picnic.

The day was filled with joy and laughter.  Chaerin and jiyong seized the day by playing board games,  exploring the secluded forest,  and talking random stuffs. Indeed,  never was a dull moment everytime thay they're together. 

The dusk is slowly eating up the bright sun.  The shades of orange and purple can be seen on the horizon.  Chaerin snuggled in the arms of jiyong as they watch the sun slowly disappear. Jiyong looks st the woman beside him,  and gid knows how much he loves her. Her small face, her almond shaped eyes, her mole on her lower lip that serves as her beauty mark,  to jiyong, she is perfect. 

"I wish this day didn't have to end" he brush her blonde hair with his fingers and had kissed her forehead from time to time. 

Chaerin smiled, as she also felt the same. If only the situation allows her,  she wants to slow the time so that she can still spend time with him.. 

"Yeah, how i wish we could stay here much longer" she sighs. 

"We can actually stay here if you want " jiyong informs chaerin. 

She pulls away from his embrace.  She looks at him in the eyes, and jiyong knows her answer. 

"Oppa, you know i can't.. " she regretfully informs him

Jiyong looked away, seemingly disappointed.. 

"C'mon chae, don't leave yet. I need you"

Chaerin felt bad for jiyong. To be honest, she wants to stay, but with her situation, she knows she can't. She was about to explain her side when all of a sudden, her phone rang.. 

"Youngbae oppa" she hurriedly tap the answer button and cleared before talking.. 

"Hey honey! " she started talking

Jiyong on the other hand couldn't helor but to feel hurt. What can he do? The moment he started pursuing chaerin,  he knows the baggage thatncomes along with it.. 

"Yes honey.. I'll be on my way now. See you! I love you too hon! "

Those words broke him .

Chaerin slid all of her stuffs in her bag and hurriedly stood up. 

"I gotta go now, youngbae is already looking for me "

She was about to go when jiuong stopped her. 

"Chae, please stay, i need you here" he looked at her, hoping that she'll change her mind, but to his dismay, chaerin shook her head no. 

"Babe, we'll still see each other, ok? I gotta go now" she kissed him on the lips and hurriedly walk to her car. 

As her car drove father and farther, jiyong could only look down, feeling hurt. He knows this will eventually happen, but he's not sure how long he can handle this..

Chaerin drove almost an hour going back to their house. All through out the drive, chaerin couldn't help but to drown herself in deep thoughts.  She's thinking how she could possibly handle such kind of relationship.  She knows this will not last long, for time will come she has to choose, and she's not yet ready for that time.  She both love jiyong and youngbae equally. Both of them brings happiness to her life on their own ways. 

"What have i gotten myself into? " she sighs as she's now confused. 

Chaerin slowed down and had passed by a certain street food cart just near their village. Then she remembered youngbae.  Both of them likes to eat fish cake sticks on this particular store .they became a regular customer that they became friends with the owner, mr.  Yang hyun suk. 

"Good evening mr. Yang! " chaerin greets the old man .

"Oh, chaerinah! Glad you came here " the man cheerfully responded to her 

"Yeah, been craving for fishcake sticks"  she smiled at him and picked up the stick. 

She was happily picking up the fishcake when mr.  Yang noticed a bouquet of roses she's holding. 

"Ah, what a beautiful flower you got their.  I remember youngbae would bring you roses everyday."

Chaerin froze for awhile.  How can she forget the flower inside her bag. She doesn't want the older man to know about her affair. 

"Uh.. Mr. Yang how much do i owe you? " chaerin became uneasy. 

Mr. Yang noticed the oddness in chaerin, so he didn't dig up information and had prepared her order. 

"It's fine chae, it's my gift for you.  Haven't seen you for months. I'm just happy to see you here" he handed the paper bag to her, in which chaerin gladly accepted.
