“Mari, come out and eat already. Your appa will be late for work.” “Coming” Mari wrote the last line

of her lyrics and the closed the notebook. She smiled feeling accomplished with her first song.

She’s been writing for weeks now and seeing the complete song just puts her to cloud nine. “appa,

can I borrow your guitar later, I finished my song and I’m just gonna try if it will fit in the melody

that I got” Mari sat on the chair near her father. “sure but you must finish your homework first

before anything else” her dad put the sausage on to her plate. “thank you appa! Omma where’s

oppa?” “he left early for the job interview. I hope he finally gets the job. Mari help me with the

laundry today. I need to go to the market to buy some supplies for the restaurant” Mari’s mom

have a small restaurant just below their house. Her mom’s cooking is well known in the

neighborhood. At a very young age Mari and her brother learned some recipes that their mother

shared. Her brother is currently applying in a 5 star hotel as a kitchen staff. He can work with their

restaurant but he insisted of trying to work in the hotel. Mari’s family is very tight. They eat

together, go out together and occasionally go to places together. “of course omma. I’ll help in the

restaurant too after my homework,laundry and song” she smiled widely. “aigoo is my daughter

wants to be a singer?” her dad asked. Mari shakes her head “no no no… that will never happen

appa. You know I can’t sing well. I just like writing songs” she took a bite of the sausage. “honey,

our Mari will be a famous engineer someday right Mari? That’s what you wrote on your homework.

I read that you want to be one” her mom said putting kimchi on top of her rice. “omma!! Why were

you sneaking around my stuff?” “I just want to check what you’re doing” “honey, Mari is a smart girl

I know she will decide at the right time” her father uttered. Mari just nodded. She cannot tell her

parents what she truly want. They have high hopes for her but her heart is pushing her to do

music. It’s what she love. “Please welcome on his debut stage Kim Jae Joong!!” Mari finished the

laundry and is now folding the dry clothes as she’s watching MU Bank. The guy walks on the

center of the stage and looking so confident. A beautiful melody started and Mari can’t take her

eyes off the screen. The melody is so beautiful yet sad. She is anticipating the lyrics and true to

her hunch the lyrics is so captivating. It speaks to her and the guy’s voice, heaven. It was like the

angels come down to earth and give their voice to this guy, this Kim Jae Joong guy. Mari closed

her eyes as she take in every word. Whoever wrote the song is truly in pain. He is longing for lost

love and wants to find it again. He is calling out to her. As Mari slowly opens her eyes the screen

only shows Jaejoong’s eyes too. It was like him and her are connecting thru eye contact. She saw

the pain in his eyes. “why are you so sad?” She uttered while looking at his face on the screen.

The guy definitely got the audience’s approval as he was cheered loudly. The hosts joined him on

stage. “wow! That was a very moving song. What is the title of the song?” one host asked. “aren’t

we supposed to let him introduce himself first. “the male host said making everyone laugh

including Jaejoong and Mari. “Hello everyone! I am Kim Jaejoong! Nice seeing you all here” when

Jaejoong smiled Mari heart became eratic.
