Description
At this point, Nakamoto Yuta wasn't even sure about what he was trying to do anymore.
He's in whole different country, away from his family and what he's used to known. His lectures and soccer practice is taking way too much of his time, to the point his girlfriend (well, now ex-girlfriend) was driven away in another man's arms and now, he feels like as if he's going to loose some of his closest friends. Not to mention, he has a really bad problem with trying to get rid of his smoking addiction because he's failing terribly and miserably at it.
With everything in his life falling apart, Yuta is slowly losing hope in himself and he has no clue what to do at all.
And yet, he found himself encountering the cheerful and rather quirky Lee Chaekhyung who has a thing for dancing under the rain and is possibly the one person who could teach him a thing or two about handling problematic life doubts.

"Why do you like the rain so much, anyway?'' Yuta asked curiously, holding an unlit cigarette between his fingers and a lighter in his hand. He was actually planning to smoke a cigarette after his last lecture, under the shelter of the bus-stop. But he somehow managed to spotted Chaekyung who was dancing under the rain again and immediately went to drag the said girl to the shelter since the rain was really picking up fast and Yuta didn't want the girl to get sick just because she didn't want to stop dancing or whatsoever.
So, here they were, under the roof of the bus-stop, side by side, making Yuta momentarily forgetting about his plans to smoke a cigaratte.
He turned to Chaekhyung, who was standing beside him and quirked an eyebrow at her rather messy appearance. From head to toe, Chaekyung was drenched. Her clothes were soaked and were sticking to her skin, her hair was in a tangled mess which added another point to her messy appearance. And Yuta is definitely sure those can't really be comfortable but Chaekyung didn't look she minded it at all.
Nope, in fact, she still had her signature cheerful grin despite her disheveled look.
''There's so many reasons why I like the rain so much, so many I could tell. But take a moment to listen to this right now,'' She pressed a finger to her lips and Yuta obediently follow her instructions. Nothing but silence was in between them, accompanied by the sounds of nature. With raindrops clashed onto the rooftop of the bus stop in repetitive roars as the cold wind oscillated in wild circles, sending the branches to sway back and forth as if they were dancing.
Yuta had to admit it, the sounds were rather soothing and he found himself feeling more relaxed than ever just by hearing them.
''These sounds, they made the perfect harmony and with this little perfec harmony, I just can't help myself. I just have this urge to dance along with this melody, feeling the raindrops against my skin as I twirled around. And when I do? I felt like my problems were being washed away, I felt free, like I could anything at all.'' She spoke with her hands making random motions, as if she was trying to prove her point. ''That's one of the reasons why I like the rain so much, because whenever it rains, I would dance and I feel the rush of freedom in me. As if I had never needed to worry about so many things.''
''Do you think I could feel that?'' Yuta blurted out, before he quickly gathered himself and cleared his throat. ''You know, not feeling the need to worry about everything and just feel free, I guess.''
''You will, Yuta. I wouldn't doubt that,'' She smiled at him. And in that moment, Yuta couldn't help but to feel grateful just to have her by his side.

Hello dear internet!
I have actually been writing for a few years and so right now, this could be somewhat my comeback uh... sort-of. But I am definitely excited to write again and here I present you to this story which I hope you guys have some fun reading.
But first, here are some things I would like to adress!
- This story will be more focused on Yuta rather than Chaekyung since its more about him handling the problems in his life as in this story, he's a struggling college student with a lot of weight on his shoulders. Therefore, we'll be seeing this story from his perspective most of the time. However, this story will also focus on Chaekyung and her problems so you'll eventually learn more about her!
- You guys don't really need to call me authornim, just calling me Mellie will just be fine.
- Please understand that I'm still student therefore I dont always have the time to write the story since I too have a life and a lot of things to think about. So please don't push me for updates because it stresses me a lot, but i'll do my best to update faster!
- This story will also focus on a lot of elements, especially with friendships and the hurt/healing dynamics. But there'll be some romance and there'll be mentions of depression and child neglect although it won't be very severe.
