1st Generation: Lollipops BETTER than Cotton Candies
Unstoppable Generation
Leeteuk’s POV:
A cotton candy is the sweetest food I’ve ever eat in my life. Yep, I love cotton candies. They’re sweet and soft. I wanted someone like that. Sweet and gentle. Just like cotton candy. But the saddest thing from a cotton candy is… They’re easily fading away
--
I check my watch again. I’ve been waiting here for 30 minutes?! What the hell?! Where’s that diva-wannabe friend of mine?! What is he doing? What took him so long?!
“TEUKIE~!!!”
I rolled my head and see Heechul with a guy, hand in hand. Oh! It’s the guy from yesterday! It must be that Hankyung guy,
“Teukie, this is—“
“I’m Hankyung… Nice to meet you, Leeteuk-ssi,”
“O-oh! Nice to meet you too,” I shook his hand slowly as he smile gently at me
“Y-YAH! What have I told you about not cutting my conversation?!”
“I’m sorry, Chullie…” Hankyung peck Heechul’s lips. I think he’s a very gentleman.
“So, should we start our double-date today?” Heechul asking me
“H-huh? What double-date?”
Suddenly, someone appeared and hug Hankyung from behind,
“Sorry I’m late!!!”
Oh …
“KangIn?”
He smiled at me softly while waving his hand at me,
“What are you doing here?”
“Heechul told me to come… Hankyung-hyung too,”
I look at Heechul. Glaring at him, then Hankyung,
“What? I just wanna help you two… Chullie told me that—“ Heechul pressed Hankyung’s lips with one of his finger,
“Hannie~ Remember what I’ve told you?”
Hankyung sighed and nodded his head,
“GREAT! So now, Let’s Start it!”
--
I walk awkwardly with KangIn. No conversation at all. I feel awkward about what happened yesterday with him. I bet, he feels that too. I keep looking on my right-side. They’re selling many kind of cotton candies. They’re remind me of her…
**Flashback:
“She’s really sweet doesn’t she, oppa?”
I nodded my head then patted Taeyeon’s head,
“I’m glad she’s your friend,”
“Why is that, oppa?” Taeyeon asked sweetly at me, while giving me a cup of tea
“So I can know her easily,”
Taeyeon look at me worriedly,
“Just… try her…oppa,”
I looked back at Taeyeon,
“What’s wrong, Tae?”
“N-nothing…”
I got up from the sofa and put my cup on the table. I walked into my room then closed the door. I change my clothes because today, I have a date with Taeyeon’s friend, Joo. Well, I’m the one who ask her for a date and she gave me a ‘YES’,
“Oppa…”
“Hmm?”
“Are you sure you…really wanna go date with her?”
“Yes, Tae… Now, take care of the house while I’m leaving, okay?”
I patted Taeyeon’s head then ride my bicycle to the theatre. I can’t hold this happiness. I’ve liked Joo from the first time we met. She’s so cute and sweet. Just like a cotton candy. And now, after so many times I keep my feelings, she accepted my date request! Although, I didn’t really told her it was a date. I arrived at the theatre soon. Then, I search for Joo’s figure. I kept looking for her yet, I still can’t find her. Suddenly, she patted my back. I rolled my body so I can see her…with a guy…hand in hand?
“Teuk-oppa!”
“O-oh… Joo-ah, you’re here!”
“Yes! Ah… I would like you to meet my boyfriend,” she pushed the guy in front of me,
“Hi, I’m Joo’s boyfriend…”
“B-boyfriend…? S-since when…?”
“Oh, haven’t me and Taeyeon told you yet? We’ve dating for 4 years…”
Cotton candy’s sweet taste, really easy to fade away…
**Flashback End
--
“Teukie…? Teukie!”
I shook my head lightly,
“A-ah yes?”
KangIn look at me worriedly. Such a handsome guy he is,
“I asked you if you want to buy those cotton candy?”
I look at the cotton candy shop, then back to KangIn,
“Sure! Why not… I love cotton candies,”
KangIn smiled at me then grab my hand and we enter the shop. We choose so many kind of cotton candies and buy it. We buy 5 cotton candies. With different tastes and colors. We took a seat near the shop and I started to rip the first cotton candies wrap and eat it slowly. Cotton candies doesn’t need to be chewed right? That’s why it doesn’t feel hurt…
“Leeteuk…?”
“Yes?”
“Are you okay…? Are you sick?”
“Noo… Of course not… Do I look like one of them?”
KangIn nod his head then pulled me to a small hug,
“I’m sorry…”
“For what?”
“For what happened yesterday…”
I blushed slightly before shook my head,
“Nah, it’s okay…”
Silence. We’re eating in silence. I chew my cotton candy slowly and feel the taste. Really, I don’t even chew the cotton candy and they’re already fading away,
“Cotton candies really easy to fade away aren’t they?”
“E-eh?”
“They make us happy… not leaving any hurt feelings because they don’t need to be chewed but in the end… They’re leaving a sweet taste that make us addicted and make us sad if we can’t get more of cotton candies,”
KangIn look at me worriedly,
“I-I mean… Y-you understand…right?” tears falling down my cheeks slowly as I tried to wipe them away
KangIn pulled me into a hug and my back slowly,
“Then, try to make that taste disappear…”
“H-how?”
“By drinking water…”
I think I understand. Drinking water mean, we must look forward, and try to forget the pain. I snuggled onto his chest, not wanting to let go of his hug,
“Hey, Teukie…”
“Y-yes…?”
“Have you try lollipops?”
I shook my head slowly then, KangIn give me a lollipop,
“Then try it…”
I the lollipop then it. I feel the sweet taste of the lollipop. It’s different from the cotton candies,
“Lollipops really hard to fade away, right?”
I look at him confusedly. Still waiting for his next words,
“Yes, they’re not soft and smooth like cotton candies but… they won’t fade easily. In the end, they’ll gone and you’ll be addicted but… it gave many times for you to enjoy it taste, right?”
I smiled softly at him. He’s right. Lollipops are much better than cotton candies. I hug KangIn tightly and burying my face onto his chest,
“Thank you…”
I think, I love the strong and tough but sweet Lollipops now.
