"So... You're getting married?"

Hyejoo asked nonchalantly shrugging her shoulders, she didn't feel anything from the news

"Yah! don't mock me Hyejoo, and what's with your tone?"

Hyejoo looked at Chaewon one last time, stood up and started walking towards the kitchen

"You know, as of right now Jiwoo is being told of this too"

Hyejoo stopped in her tracks, turning around giving Chaewon her attention

"You know, It would b--"

Chaewon's voice cracked, tears starting to fall down her cheeks, Hyejoo walked towards her, tracing circles on her back

"It would be what Chae?"

Hyejoo said monotonely, it sounded harsh but she was just like that about the entire thing, she didn't feel anything about the whole wedding thing

"It would be great if you actually cared about me Hyejoo"

Hyejoo pursed her lips together and sighing heavily

"That's where you're wrong Chae"

Chae looked through teary eyes, she gave a look that was questioning Hyejoo what she meant. Hyejoo understood what she wanted to ask by looks alone

"Yeah, I mean I don't really care that you're getting married and finally setting down but Chae you know I still love you"

Hyejoo paused, trying to remember what instance she was about to say when Chaewon suddenly pulled her close and kissed her, passionately.

Chaewon never kissed Sooyoung the way she kissed Hyejoo, She knew that and it hurt her that she could kiss Hyejoo like that but not Sooyoung

Hyejoo didn't return the kiss and  pushed Chaewon back, holding her hands, smiling bitterly at her, she knew that that kiss meant something to Chaewon, but sadly meant nothing to her

"Chae... I'm sorry, I love you but not in that way anymore."

Hyejoo stood up hovering over Chaewon, she pulled out her phone and looked for Jiwoo's contact, as soon as she saw it she pressed call

It rang, once, twice, thrice only after the fourth ring that Jiwoo finally picked up

"Hey Hyejoo, how are you doing?"

Jiwoo's voice was raspy, She knew that she just cried based on hearing her voice, Hyejoo looked at Chaewon

"Jiwoo unnie, Can you call Sooyoung unnie that Chaewon needs to be picked up at my apartment... she's right there?... then go tell her... I'm going to buy whatever you want tomorrow just tell Sooyoung unnie to come pick her up... Bye unnie"

Hyejoo kept her phone in her back pocket and went to the kitchen to get a drink. Chaewon saw what she did and wanted to go near her but memories of what happened when they were together made her hesitate

"CHAE!!! YOU'RE GOING TO BURN THE KITCHEN"

Hyejoo shouted as she rushed to turn the stove that was left by Chaewon, that was their supposed dinner but guess it's delivery night

"Damn Cha-Cha, remind me to never let you cook again"

Hyejoo said jokingly, hugging Chaewon tightly and lightly kissing her forehead

"I wanted to make you something special since it's our first anniversary together."

Chaewon said, a pout starting to form on her lips, Hyejoo smiled from seeing that, she couldn't help but stare at it without even realizing that her face was nearing the other

"Ahem... Hyejoo what do you want for dinner then?"

Hyejoo regained herself and pulled back almost immediatly, breathing in deeply  to regain herself

"You prepare the stuff, I'll cook it"

"I literally almost burned the entire place down like a few minutes ago, do you really trust me with that?"

"Who said anything about you going near the stove?, all I said was that YOU prepare the stuff while I am going to cook."

Chaewon smiled, knowing Hyejoo trusted her with even simply preparing, she went nearer to Hyejoo and stood on her tippy toes, their faces inches apart

Hyejoo smiled at the blondie's action and leaned down on her, resting her forehead on Chaewon

"Hyejoo~"

Hyejoo let out a chuckle, holding Chaewon's waist to give her support and kissed her like never before.

"You can go here you know... you're not even going to cook."

Chaewon walked forward into the kitchen, her memories rushed back in a second, she smiled as Hyejoo turned around to face her, she wanted to hold her right then and there but she stopped herself before things could escalate

"Sooyoung unnie is going to pick you up in like... twenty minutes"

Twenty minutes was all Chae needed to finally let go and move on from Hyejoo, She can't let her go that easily but if kissing her lips one last time helped her in one way or another then so be it.

Hyejoo dropped her phone upwards showing a timer set for 15 minutes, Chaewon saw this and knew what Hyejoo was implying to her

"If you wanna kiss me one last time, then go for it."

Chaewon rushed at Hyejoo, locking thier lips in an instant, She knew doing this was so wrong, she was engaged to the person she loves but right now just felt so right.

Hyejoo placed her atop the counter, not breaking their contact with one another she returned it but there was no feelings involved, for Hyejoo this is just a GOODBYE goodbye kiss

Chaewon felt everything was right in the world and kissed Hyejoo harder, pouring out every lingering feelings left for her

Hyejoo let go wanting a breather but Chaewon kissed her even harder, sliding her hand into Hyejoo's scalp and the other on her shoulders

Both finally stopped when the fifteen minutes were over but Chaewon held on a little longer before breaking away from Hyejoo.

Hyejoo looked at her and sighed, she grabbed her by the waist and put her down on the floor. She walked towards her glass of water and started to drink it

Setting it back on the counter gently, Chaewon went near her and hugged her from behind

"I'm going to miss you Hyejoo."

"I know... that kiss made it obvious."

"What can I do about it, it's your parent's fault for making your lips so soft."

"Are you really blaming my genes right now?"

"... I'm going to miss you Wolfie."

Hyejoo sighed making Chaewon hug her even harder, a knock was heard outside signalling both of them that Sooyoung has arrived

Hyejoo unwrapped Chaewon's arms from her waist and went for the door to open it, showing Sooyoung about to knock on the door

"Hyejoo!... where's Cha-cha?"

Hyejoo remembered calling Chaewon that nickname, it made her smile for a bit.

"She's in the kitchen, follow me"

Hyejoo directed her to Chaewon, who was standing there, she was facing both of them, Sooyoung rushed and hugged her tightly

Chaewon hugged her back, holding her hand and giving some space between them. Sooyoung smiled at her with heart eyes before leading them back to the door. She looked back once more, setting in stone the events that happened between the two of them in Hyejoo's apartment

"Bye Hyejoo! we will be expecting you!"

Hyejoo nodded and waved them goodbye before closing the door.
