Hyunjin is 17 and has her entire life figured out already—she’s going to finish high school and become the soccer star she was born to be. That is, of course, until some random kid accidentally pushes her down a flight of stairs, shattering her knee, her wrist and her dreams, all at once.

Worst part of it all? Falling on top of Jeon Heejin, being forced to see her every day in physical therapy and discovering that, maybe, she isn’t as terrible as Hyunjin originally thought.

I don’t think I’ve written a review of this 2jin writing yet which I’m surprised about because this is one of my fav 2jin short story. First I loved how they kind of had a rivalry going on in Hyunjin’s point of view but Heejin just wanted to be friends because I could totally see it happening in real life lmao. Second I love the character development of Hyunjin’s relationship with Heejin how she started seeing what Heejin was really like and not her preconceived thoughts of what Heejin is. It was also heartwarming to see Heejin helping Hyunjin recover and helping her practice soccer/football again. Great work!

Chapter 1: I am binge reading some Loona fics and I’m glad I got to read yours! I really like the pace of this story. I enjoy the connection 2jin has in this story as it makes their history more interesting. I also really enjoyed Hyunjin’s breakdown when she realized she likes Heejin. It’s so relatable. The last coffee shop scene was such a roller coaster. When Heejin didn’t reply, I was like silently screaming in my room and couldn’t function for a solid five minutes. My heart was racing too! That’s super cool that you’re able to do that as an author!
Did you end up writing a second chapter? I am still curious as to why Heejin checked on Hyunjin in the hospital. I don’t want to think too deeply about her letting Hyunjin win the race, but maybe that’s just it?
I look forward to other fics!
