About: When they said space was an endless black ocean, they hadn’t been lying. It hadn’t even taken an hour for the space craft to disappear out of view. Sure, it had been the longest hour of Kyungsoo’s life, not counting the ones he was currently experiencing, but it had only been an hour. That much the small timer on the inside of his helmet had very dutifully told him.

That had been 11 hours ago. 11 hours of floating through nothingness. 11 hours of trying to convince himself that somehow, somehow, he’d find his way back to his ship. 11 hours of futility hoping that they’d turn around, despite the very clear message from ground control that had informed him that no, they did not have enough fuel for such a maneuver.

The stupid tether floated back into view again, the fastening supposed to keep him attached to his ship still dangling off the end. He had put in a notice for that fastening weeks ago. Why hadn’t he chosen another one? Why hadn’t he done anything about it? Why had he been so stupid!
