LOVESTRUCK
I was sitting as usual at the coffee shop, that I’ve been visiting for the past four weeks- for some particular reason. Yeah, I was waiting for one girl, I don’t know her neither does she know me but something about her always brought me back to this place.
Four weeks ago It was pouring rain and I had forgotten to carry an umbrella, so I decided to drop by at the nearest place I could find- which led me to this coffee house. I didn’t plan on buying a drink so I sat on a nearby seat next to the door. I was just staring outside at the rain. Feeling restless, wanting to go home since I had a long day at work.
I shifted uncomfortably in my seat and as I turned around a girl caught my eye, She was sitting on a couch at one corner near the window with her earphones on, occasionally sipping on her coffee, reading a book- ‘The ROOM by Emma Donoghue’ I read. ‘’I’ve read that one’’ I mentally thought. Besides all that the girls’ beauty captured me the most. I turned around completely and took a seat on the other side where I could see her properly. Now that I got to see her properly I was gawking at her. She had slight brownish hair, perfect small and delicate lips, She smiled while reading which I found very cute. The glasses she was wearing made her look even cuter. She suddenly glanced at her phone to check the time and started collecting her things. When she stood up I noticed she wasn’t quite tall -well shorter than me. She walked passed me and I was completely blown away by the aura she emitted, also her scent- ‘Lavender’. She said her goodbyes to one of the baristas - which I assume was her friend, and left. I frowned a little, Will I be able to see her again?
(NEXT DAY) It wasn’t raining today but I decided to drop by the cafe after work, still hoping I would find that girl. As I entered I immediately saw the girl sitting at the same spot. I took a seat right in front of her this time and just picked out my phone pretending to use it so she won’t find me creepy just looking at her. I was stealing glances when she suddenly stood up, for a brief moment our eyes met and I swear I forgot how to breathe. She walked past me and I was sitting there dumbfounded, completely taken away by what just happened. I turned around and saw her talking to the barista, they were smiling and laughing. After a while, the barista excused herself to attend the customers and the girl was walking back to her seat.
I tried to avoid my obvious stares but she looked at me once again and shot a brief smile. I almost returned with an awkward smile and looked down feeling embarrassed- Dammit. Pretty much nothing happened after that, it was just me staring at her. Time passed by and she took her leave for the day.
Day 15, For the past two weeks I was dropping by the cafe just to see the girl who completely made me fall head over heels for her. I wanted to go and speak to her or maybe ask her out but I was a coward. I mean anyone would be a coward when they see a living goddess like her. I didn’t know if I should go for it or just forget about it since I was way too out of her league. Yes, I’m Kang Seulgi, age 24 who is a pretty normal person. I work mostly all the time, that’s how I get on by. It’s not that I don’t have any friends- I just don’t hang out much. Kindoff an insecure person because I had a really bad past relationship, which makes me distance myself from people. I’m not a boring person- I’m
