This isn’t a chapter, I know, but I’ve been wanting to play around with character design so I’ve been working hard on these twelve since Christmas (time is lacking being in your last year of university). I wanted to post this “chapter” right after I introduced every EXO member so it was imperative that it happened now.

I’ve included some information on each of them that I haven’t really integrated into chapters yet, like ages and some of the abilities. The quotes were a fun touch to get a sense of their character or habits. I hope I’m able to reflect these characters well in upcoming chapters.

Park Chanyeol, first year

Species: Phoenix

Byun Baekhyun, fourth year

Species: Woodland faerie

Notable abilities: Earth & plant magic, tree-like skin, communication with animals

Zitao, first year

Species: Grim reaper

Notable abilities: Judging & gathering souls, shadow walking, wielding a scythe

“It’s natural for those living to avoid those who deal out death.”

Some of the outfits are inspired by things that the EXO members have worn, but I have also taken some inspirations from the kind of creature they are and the culture that creature is from. It's been really fun to research and provide little pieces of myths or traits from these creatures and using them to fuel my own imagination. I hope you enjoy these characters as much as I have come to.
