Yeojin was always loud and cheerful but Hyejoo had noticed Yeojin always got quiet when it came to her height. It wasn’t hard for the older one to figure out it was her complex. She had been acting careful around Yeojin when interacting with her to not accidentally poke fun at it. That’s how it ended up seeming like Hyejoo was distancing herself, but in reality she was just being mindful.

“You don’t need a nickname to be cute. You’re not cute only because you’re short. You’re already cute because that’s who you are,” Hyejoo told her like it was no big deal, staring at the TV instead of Yeojin while she waited for the game to load.

The youngest one turned to Hyejoo with wide eyes. Hyejoo thought she was cute? Something unknown right then began to flutter in her stomach, something she’s never experienced before, and it made it a little hard for her to focus on anything else that was not centered around that nervous feeling.

Hyejoo noticed Yeojin’s lack of speech and smirked. “What? Did I just make your heart race?”

Yeojin immediately denied the claim. “No! You wish!” Yet her expression betrayed her words.

Height difference au because I'm trash for big height gaps. Also Yeojin is adorable and Hyejoo is a puppy so I had to write this. Yeojin's cute height difference throughout Hi High promotions inspired me to write this and finally I finished it. About time lol
