Final
Friends“What are we?” Sana asks while she flips through a random book she picked up while she accompanies Jeongyeon to study.
Jeongyeon looks at her confused at the sudden question but nevertheless pays attention to her as she looks serious. He puts down his book and turns his swivel chair to her side.
Sana refuses to look at him directly as she was too nervous to find the answer she has been wanting to know for months now.
Jeongyeon grabs the book she was trying to distract herself with and turns her around to him as well. He then lift her chin up to make her look at him and he immediately sees watery eyes meeting his gaze.
“Why are you crying?” Jeongyeon asks as he caresses her cheeks. She tilts her head to the side where his hands was caressing her, wanting to feel more of his touches because she knows Jeongyeon barely gets affectionate with her.
“I’m just afraid.” She answers, her voice cracking from fear.
“Of what?” He wanted to hug her seeing her like this. She isn’t her usual bubbly and carefree self and it pains him more than any sickness he has ever gotten.
But he stiffens at the next words she speaks,
“That we’re just friends.” And her eyes finally pours out the tears she’s been keeping all this time.
“But we are.”
Jeongyeon shouldn’t have said that because it only made Sana’s fears come true. Quick on her feet, Sana immediately gets up to run away but a soft hand grabs her wrist and stopped
