Chapter 4 ; yerin + SinB We've all been awakened early by Sowon Eonnie's roll call, everyone appart from Umji and Yuju Eonnie who helped her cook. We need to depart early to reach the Coney Island before the crowd sweeps every fine space clean. We took two cars after preping, I drive the car with Sowon Eonnie, Yuju Eonnie, Eunha and Eunseo while Umji get to ride with Irene, Seulgi and Joy. "Ah right, Eunha! Did you call Ahjussi?" I asked. "Yeeep. Made sure to call him as soon as we arrived. What I am curious about is f Eunseo had already settled the score with Umji?" Eunha giggled while I looked at Eunseo from the rearview. "I don't know if your freaking girlfriend is even human at this state right now SinB-ya. She just never lose!" She whinned while we laughed. "She just looks calm, Eunseo-ya." I chuckled looking at the side mirror where Umji and the others' car follows close. "I clearly remember her being one last time I checked." I said. "I kind of agree with Eunseo. I never beat her against any game." Yuju Eonnie said and I could just shake my head. "Speaking of girlfriend, I keep on wondering if when will Eunha and Sowon ever get one. Or a boyfriend." Eunseo said while looking outside the mirror. I faked a cough and cleared my throat. "Ahem. EUNHA AND SOWON. Ahem!" Eunha then who was sitting beside me covered my mouth so that I don't say any more. "I heard from Sowon Eonnie that she like—!" Yuju Eonnie was then cut off by Sowon Eonnie and shot her a meaningful look which me and Eunseo caught. "Just date each other! Jeez!" Eunseo said and both Eunha and Sowon Eonnie flushed. "THAT'S NOT IT!!!" They both yelled in chorus. Yuju Eonnie and I could only laugh because Sowon Eonnie and Eunha are holding our mouths. Eunseo teased them more until Sowon Eonnie used the power of her absurdly long arms and covered Eunseo's mouth as well. This isn't fair and I'm even driving! The two made sure none of Yuju Eonnie, Eunseo or me would talk before setting our mouths free from their grasp. "Gosh you held on for too long it sweats!" I nagged but Eunha scolded me. But I didn't do anything wrong! What's wrong with coughing and saying their names?! Soon, we arrived at our destination. People are already gathered along the beach side while some are swimming or either surfing. Most are resting while enjoying the rays of sun. Reminds me of California. We arrived a little bit earlier, considering the speed I am keeping up on our way here. Sowon Eonnie and I busied ourselves arranging the foods we brought for our snacks while she reminded me to buy foods for later in case we get hungry. Umji and the rest arrived but told us that she and Joy will be going back for Seulgi's camera. After preparing everything, Irene and Seulgi rushed off to enjoy themselves while I am left with the other three loonies. Sowon started making fun of Eunha Eonnie where Yuju Eonnie joined along. "If I know you're just making fun of her but deep inside you like her don't ya?" I whispered to Sowon Eonnie and then she started chasing me while telling me to keep quiet. Yuju Eonnie and Eunha, though, started munching on corndogs that they brought from the street vendor. Not so long after, Irene joined the rest while Seulgi joined me and Sowon Eonnie. They are both talking when I made my way to the shore. Taking a few more steps as my feet dip through the water and sand. "What are you doing? Wanna go surfing?" Asked Sowon Eonnie. "Nawp. I was just thinking about Umji." I said. Seulgi followed us while I sat by the shore. Not caring that my clothes are halfway wet. "You see, she never really felt comfortable with talking about Yerin Eonnie. So I never brought it up." I said. I looked up at both of them and hissed in a joking way, "Sit with me you freaks." I glared. Sowon Eonnie laughed before sitting while Seulgi just sat. "You do know that even though I keep on saying that I am Umji's rival over you, I was just joking right?" Seulgi asked me. "Yeah. You're a total whip with Irene." I said while Sowon Eonnie laughed. "Shut up granny, don't even think about laughing, you can't even confess your feelings for Eunha." She sulked while I laughed. "What are you going to do?" Sowon Eonnie, dismissing Seulgi's teasing remarks, looked at me, "Yerinie." She added. "What's there to do, the only thing that concerns me is Umji." I smiled, my eyes staring at nothingness through the vast ocean. "She could get hurt... I love her, you know." I said and as a result, I had two hands tapping me rather hardly on my back. "We know you rascal." Sowon Eonnie said. "I even surrendered to her... don't hurt her." Seulgi said, "You've been through a lot... it's the same with her." She scooped a handful mix of sand and water then let it escape her hands. "I know that the others don't carry bad feelings over anyone... but it's different for me. Yerin... did something very cruel." Seulgi said. Her voice full of bitterness. "All of us could've lost you." Seulgi finished talking. The three of us grew quiet. Yuju then came to tell me to call Umji. She said Umji couldn't reach me and that she and Joy were caught in a car accident. I
