Description

Irene is an 18 year old girl in a world where teenagers take on animal forms to survive their rite of passage to adulthood. During her trials, she makes awkward small talk, tries not to spill tea, and meditates. While she is not alone in this whole ordeal, she soon finds out that everyone has tea to spill.

For thousands of years, the people of Ascot have been blessed with a gift from the gods, the power to manifest an animal avatar. This raw untamed ability typically presents itself on the day of one’s 18th birthday, but not everyone is fortunate. Some are born powerless.

 

The Shamans, leaders of Ascot, have ordained a decree to preserve order. One fight in the Arena between the new adults to seal their fates.

 

The winners are sent to the Shamans to hone their abilities. After five years of training, they go on to preside over high-ranking positions in society. The losers are whisked away to the Barrens to become foot soldiers or they’re sent back home in shame. They will never amount to anything.

Chapter 16: Yey a new chapter, I wonder how long will it take for Seulgi to join forces with Irene regarding what's going on since apparently they are trying to investigate the same thing, they just don't know it yet and I can't wait to see what is Joy doing

Chapter 15: Hahahahaha this was such a lively chapter and I enjoyed it very much, the dynamics between Wendy and Rosé here are incredible and Irene must be happy to finally have something to do and thankfully with company.

Chapter 13: So.... while I enjoyed the chapter cause I was mainly concerned about Seulgi's legs and how will her training go, it's good that the water healed her that fast and that she gets along with her mentor but also I have been looking for the clue and I can't find it hahahaha.
the only thing I could think of is that maybe her job will be to look for a trail of Joy's family or the possible danger that was predicted by the Earth mother.
Irene still seems to be a little out of it with the first kill and all of that, hope to see some of her training in future chapters.

It was also good to know that Seulgi also knew from very early on that Joy had a Lion avatar wich shows how much they not only know about each other's but also the deep trust they have.
I feel like April is so far away and hope that you can drop another chapter in between but if life is busy then that also means that there are good things happening to you so you must prioritize that ofc.

Chapter 12: Didn't except a new chapter so soon so I'm glad to read it, also a very interesting one and from this you can guess that Joy always knew about her Avatar and later on with the help of Soma she probably learnt about how rare her species is and how they are usually hunted down so that's why she had to flee every time, with this we can also guess her Father had a Lion Avatar too, thankfully her mother wasn't dead and hopefully she isn't yet in her present time.
Also it was so funny how she met Seulgi

Yes I definitely listened to psycho and I freaking love it, also I like in n out too, it's a really good song, as for what happened to Wendy I just want for her to be alright and there's no denying that everyone is pissed with SBS for what happened, I read new info about it and I can't believe how careless the staff was to just tell her to go and get down from a place so high when it was freaking dark and the stairs weren't even in place to begin with

Chapter 11: Ooooh yes!! And update!!! Also everything was great, its interesting what happened and I can't wait to know why those 2 were assigned to Rolof and Orion but with the revelation of theirs avatars it makes sense and wow the Mother Earth saying that she will be Head Sage in a few years is actually telling that the danger that it's coming will be terrible and she will have to learn everything a lot more quickly, also I thought that Joy would be put under Soma and I already can see her headbutting with Darius
Gosh it's been so long but this story its impossible to abandon

Chapter 5: Hey there !

I’m truly amazed by the story so far except for poor Seulgi getting beat up by Joy ... (sluggy hwaiiting) it’s really interesting and the plot is frankly wonderful. One thing however that I personally like and not at the same time is the use of Latin, I can almost understand every sentences/words in Latin you wrote or at least guess what it means due to my 4 yrs of Latin class that I personally didn’t really enjoy (which is why reading Latin is not really the best thing) apart from that, I didn’t finish yet as I’m still at the 3 or 4 chapter and I can’t wait to read the rest.

I’ll probably send another comment much more constructive and helpful than this one but I just want to send you support and my small useless personal opinion.

Good job and continue this way , hwaiiting author !
