How did it come to this...

They were perfect

The power couple as the people say

Everyone admired them

Everyone loved their dynamic

Everyone thought they were soulmates

Everyone saw the greatest couple that lived

The facade the lived for years

When in truth this is what they’ve become

Broken faith and shattered hearts

And Jihyo’s just tired of it all

“What do you want me to do huh?! What?!” Jeongyeon shouted as clothes are hurdled to the floor, suitcase tossed somewhere in the room

“I don’t know, maybe be with your family for once?” Jihyo shouted back

“Family? A family who seems to not give a about me? Have you seen how that child looks at me? She doesn’t even want me in the same room, she despises me” Jeongyeon exclaim tears threatening to spill

“What do you think when her own mother doesn’t go to her recitals? Her plays? Her own birthday?! It’s always business this and business that” Jihyo looked at Jeongyeon softly feeling the tiredness sink in “she wants her mom back, is that too much to ask?”

“But you can’t cause of your job, it always the same freaking thing, we are stuck in loop and I’m just tired Jeong, I’m tired of it all” Jihyo sigh

“So that’s that? 5 years down the drain?” Jeongyeon sigh

 

“Jeong-“

“All that we’ve built, all that we’ve work for, the years we been together, when did you stop caring Ji?” Jeongyeon looked at Jihyo heartbroken and angry

Jihyo can’t help but laugh at the irony of it all “we were you for the majority of those years Jeong? Where were you when I needed my wife? Yuna needed her mom? You were in a business trip” Jihyo exclaimed “the thing is I never stop caring Jeong, I tried to understand, but I can only stand so much, you just never notice it, so when? When did you start noticing Jeong?” Jihyo started tears streaming “when everything started falling apart? When we’re at a point that we may never salvage the broken pieces? Why now? When you’ve always turned the blind eye” Jihyo sobbed faced buried in her hands

Jeongyeon walk closer to her wife “Because I can’t stand the fact that I may lose you” Jeongyeon crouch, and with hesitation lifted Jihyo’s face to look her in the eyes “I’m so sorry, For being so ignorant, I love you Ji, I do, so let me make this right”

“That’s just it Jeong, I want to believe you, but it’s hard knowing this will end with you packing your bags and walking out that door”

Jeongyeon stared at her wife, wiped her tears with her thumb and stood up and watch to the couch, Jihyo looked up as Jeongyeon was rummaging through her bag and bringing out her phone

“Hi, sir” Jeongyeon started

Jihyo looked at her wife with hopeful eyes

“Ah, yes sir… but sir... no... okay… si-” Jengyeon sigh before facing her wife “Ji-”

Jihyo stood up wiped her tears before dashing up the steps “Just lock up before you leave”

Jeongyeon sigh as she stared out the window

“What’s up with you?” The uber driver asked, a young girl sharp eyes and milky with skin, and a very bold purple ombre hair

“Nothing much” the short-haired girl replied

“Well seeing that you’re on your way to the airport before the holidays says either you’re visiting your family or going away from them and your face suggest the latter”

“Well listen, it’s not your damn business okay” Jeongyeon snapped

“Okay geesh, just trying to make the ride less dull, it’s hard working late at night you know? When all you want to is go home to your girlfriend and just spend a lazy day snuggled up, or maybe you know” The girl smirk “but yeah, I’m stuck here with you Ms. Grumpy and is it to much to ask if I wanted to lighten up the mood”
