They weren't on speaking terms again after that.

Yebin saw Minkyung around a few times during school and almost never at home. Minkyung got busier as she started helping the professor for extra credit. She also somehow started going to parties and just became more sociable. Yebin would also just naturally avoid Minkyung as she was constantly reminded of that drunk kiss they shared. She wasn't about to go hurt herself more by being around Minkyung. She wasn't an idiot.

Just like that, an entire week passed.

"Well, I'm going to have to assign you guys pairs for the next project. Remember, this project counts towards 15% of your final grade. Y'all are going to have to work well with your partner..." Yebin listened to the professor drone on and on about the next assessment. 

"Minkyung and Yebin. Siyeon and..."

Yebin sat up as soon as she heard their names being called. Was the professor trying to kill her or help her? What was fate trying to do? She was glad that she now had an excuse to talk to Minkyung but she was worried that she was going to get hurt again or even worse, lose her friendship with Minkyung. Yebin groaned as she couldn't help glancing over to where Minkyung sat and saw that Minkyung was staring at her. Yebin whipped her head back so quickly, she almost gave herself whiplash.

"That's all for today. Remember, your project is due in 3 weeks. Start working on it already." The professor reminded the students that had already started streaming out of the lecture hall.

Yebin decided that it was time for her to do something about this mess. She could just use this project as a guise for her to talk to Minkyung about that night.

"Hey." Yebin said as she approached Minkyung.

"Hey." Minkyung replied as she broke into an indecipherable smile.

"So, as the professor said, we need to start working on our project. You free today? We need to discuss about this, uh... project."

"Uh, yeah. Want to go to the cafe? It's kinda stuffy at the dorm."

"Sure."
