SIX MONTHS AGO

Yu Hae slowly opened her eyes, trying hard not to yawn as she heard the captain's voice above her.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we now arrive in South Korea..."

She stretched and turned her head towards the porthole, admiring the view and cursing at the clouds getting sometimes in the way. She had this strange feeling of lightness, and counldn't stop herself from exhibiting a triumphant smile.

As soon as she had had a call from a certain Park Jin Young one month earlier, excitement hadn't left her. They had made it. They had entered the famous JYP Entertainment. They were going to sign a contract soon, and make their debut.

Finally. She was finally coming back to Korea after two years to start a new life.

"I'm back..."

Park Jin Young sighed, shaking his head, and gave a slight cough to make the six boys who were standing in front of him understand that they'd better be quiet and let him speak. They finally calmed down so the president could answer their questioning look.

"You heard me right : a new band has entered the JYP. It wasn't planned so early after miss A, that's true, but they're all really talented and I can't miss such an occasion.

- But they aren't even trainees.

- We've never heard about it, where do they come from ?"

The president asked them to keep quiet.

"Just calm down a little, and let me introduce them to you. First of all, they passed the auditions this summer in the United States, where they had been for 2 years. They started their activities in 2006, so they have a little experience, though they're not very well-known. I'm here to fix this and make them debut in Korea."

He turned the screen of his computer towards the six boys.

"2PM, meet the new band of the JYPE : NoiZ*, and its five members." he said, smiling as he pressed a key to start a slide show.

Puzzled, they all came closer to the screen.

"This is the leader, Kwang Yu Hae, born in 1990 : she's the singer. Then comes Kwang Soo Ji, born in 1992, Yu Hae's sister and guitarist. Then Han Young Min, born in 1989, also guitarist. Then Seo Mi Hyun, born in 1992, maknae and bass player. And finally Jung So Ra, born in 1988, the band's drummer."

Photos scrolled as the president was talking, catching the entire attention of 2PM who whispered comments from time to time or nodded.

"What you've just seen is a general survey. You still have a lot to learn about them. My advice for you : don't judge them too fast, you might be surprised. Just give them a chance, that's all I'm asking. They're coming tomorrow, you'll meet them soon enough."

The president turned the computer off, and told the boys he had to leave.

"One more thing : their music is kind of... different.

- Different ?

- What do you mean ?

- I mean... Rock. I told myself : why not change, after all ? People will grow tired of K-Pop idols." he said for a laugh.

The rest was submerged by the shout of the six boys.

"HYUNG !"
