After 2 months

Melina’s pov

2 months has passed since the last time I saw his angel face. We talk on the phone and video call each other on msn. But this distance is killing me. The day he left, I cried so much that I went to university with dark circles around my eyes. But I kept my promise. I have never cried ever since. I hold my tears back.

It is now 11 am in the morning and I am out from my first lecture and have a break for 2 hours. Last night when we talked on msn he told me to go to this Korean site to watch the live show. I don’t know why. It is probably around 8 pm in there. I wonder what it is that he told me to watch.

I sit at the back of the canteen where no1 will see what I am watching on my laptop. I go on the site and wait for the live tv to load. My phone starts ringing. My heart skips a beat at the name in the screen: Lee Gikwang

“ Hello oppa “ I answer.

“ hey baby where are you? Are you watching it right now?” he says with such an excitement.

“ I am at the canteen now, I am on my break and the site is loading it will be on in a second. Oppa will you tell me what it is please?” I ask him and he giggles.

“ In about 5 minutes you will see baby, just wait and see.” He says and hangs up.

Oookkk…the live tv is on and what is this? its some kind of an entertainment show or something? There is a stage and some MCs talking in Korean but I don’t understand…awkward. Gikwang how am I supposed to understand this?

“ lsdkfjosidklsjnc B2ST!!!!” ok I think he just said B2st? what?

“ This song is only for you” I hear Gikwang’s voice.

“ Eyyy this song is just for you, you know this is it, drop it” I hear Junhyung.

OH MY DEAR LORD!

All of the b2st members walk on to the stage.

“ Yeah yeah yeeah yeahh yeeyyy ooohh baby baby girlll” starts singing my angel. He winks at the camera and NOOOOOOOOOOOO… He kissed the black ring and pointed at the screen.  They start singing B2ST-I like you the best. I know the lyrics and the meaning of this song.

The song is not even sad but I feel like my tears about to fall but I stop them remembering our promise. The whole performance he sent kisses and winks to the camera. And he kissed his promise ring couple of times and I kissed the black ring on my finger too. 

Gikwang’s pov

I hope the media and the fans won’t question me about the ring and why I kissed it many times. I couldn’t help it knowing she was watching me on screen. I don’t think they have realised it at all. I should call her to ask what she thougth about the performance.

“ Gikwaaaaannnggg!!” she opens the phone in such a cute way.

“Babbyyyy! Did you like the performance? I wanted to surprise you. I wanted you to watch it live instead of watching somewhere else later on.”

“It was amazing! You looked even hotter than before! And thank you so much”

“Thank you my beautiful. I sang it all for you, I sang my heart to you, since my arms aren’t that long to reach out to you” I say and the manager shouts from the door to tell us to get ready for the backstage interview.

“Baby I need to go now,we have an interview to do, I will call you before going sleep. And I miss you” I say to her and she says she misses me even more and I make my way to the interview room.

The interview

“ Lee Gikwang tell us a bit about the mysterious black ring you are wearing. Does it have a special meaning? It must be important since you kissed it many times while performing.”

AAAIIYYSSSHHHHH! This man asks me inappropriate questions every time. I feel like telling him to mind his own business but I can’t create a scandal like this.Ahhh what should I say? I can’t put her in trouble like this. I can’t tell the truth. I thought they wouldn’t pay attention to the ring much. I look around to see my members staring at me as if to tell me not to tell the truth.  I have to make something up. Maybe I should say it’s Kim Rian’s, my best friend since from primary school. She liked me once but I kindly rejected her and we stayed as good friends ever since.

“Well I…the ring is important to me, of course. It was given by my best friend to give me good luck and I can’t take it off even if I want too. I will always wear it.” I say and the man is staring at me as if he doesn’t believe me.  I will have to explain this to Kim Rian later if the man writes a story about this. ahhhhh why out of all the questions he had to ask me about the ring. why?

“ Is that person a female?” he asks again. I swear he has some problems with me or something.

“ well yes, my BEST friend is a female. Her name is Kim Rian, she has always been there for me before and after my debut, I would like to say thank you to my BEST FRIEND from here.” I say the word best friend in a loud voice to make it clear.

“ Thank you everyone, no further questions are accepted” says our manager and we bow and walk back to our changing room.
